Testing Recommendatons (February, 2013)
There are many testing candidates for DF41 that were found:
1) There are now at least five surviving fingerprints associated with DF41. For possible testing candidates, look at the DF41 spreadsheet found under the DNA Results pull-down menu. Those submissions high-lighted in green should mostly test positive. It is highly recommended that submissions in blue as these are in the transitional area between positive and negative results. Under further testing in the transitional areas are tested, it remains uncertain the percentage that should test positive (many will test positive though). For those highlighted in yellow, these are speculative tests but a few of these should test positive. You need to look at all five tabs for each of the DF41 fingerprints.
2) Since there are at least five known DF41 fingerprints and three outlier submissions not assigned to any DF41 fingerprints, random testing of L13* submissions is highly recommended as well. It is almost certain that additional DF13 fingerprints will be discovered via random testing under DF13. There are many DF13 signatures defined and it is highly recommended that at least one from each signature be tested. For those that belong to DF13 unassigned, these submissions should be tested for DF41 as well unless very close matches have already tested negative.
