SUMMARY OF SNP (JULY, 2012)
Predicted Breadth of L319.1 (speculative estimate of positive submissions) = 15 = 22 x 50 % (10 of 10) + 12 x 30 % (9 of 10) + 9 x 10 % (8 of 10) + 0 x 5 % (7 of 10). At 10 of 10 fingerprint matches, only four submissions out of six tested have tested positive to date. However, neither of the negative tests have tested the older Y-SNP, L312.1, so these negatives may turn into positive results with additional testing. Dominant surnames include: Greaves (1) and Hopkins (2). Between 70 % and 90 % fingerprint matches, all four submissions tested have tested negative to date. L302 is the son of L319.1.
The were no key marker values found that track L319.1.
Scope of Testing within Fingerprint: Average - Around 23 % (10 of 43) of submissions at 70 % or higher matches have been tested to date. Between 50 % and 70 % matches, only 4 % (1 of 24) have been tested (and this submission tested negative). However, due to the narrow scope of L319.1, it is not recommended that lower fingerprint matches (under 70 % matches) be tested. Until further tested is completed, the true breadth of L319.1 can not be determined.
Note that the number of known testing candidates appears to fairly typical for L21 SNPs where the number of testing candidates declines down to 70 % matches and then sees a sharp rise as non-L319.1 submissions dominate testing candidates. This trend suggests minimal overlap of L319.1 submissions with non-L319.1 submissions at higher fingerprint matches. Even at very high fingerprint matches, L319.1 has tested more negative than positive above 70 % matches. However, two significant negative tests are L302 negative only and could later test L319.1 positive with further testing. It is estimated that almost all testing below 70 % matches will test negative.

Summary of L319.1 testing (July, 2012)
Classification of SNP: Near Private - Predicted breath of 15 positive submissions.
Scope of Testing within Fingerprint: Average - 24 % (10 of 42) of testing candidates (over 70 % match of DNA fingerprint) have been tested to date.
Source of SNP: L319.1 and L302 were discovered via WTY 33932.
Year that SNP was discovered: Estimated 2009.
Dominant Surnames (positive): Greaves (1) and Hopkins (3). Note that two positive tests can not be confirmed via Y-SNP reports.
Number of Positive Tests: Four known (currently all at 100 % matches - but several lower matches could also test positive).
Number of Negative Broad Tests (below 50 % match): Around 51 (combination of random testing and WTY testing).
Number of Negative Tests within Fingerprint (50 % to 70 % matches): One known.
Pending Tests (over 50 % match): None known.
ISOGG Status - Prove relationship of L319.1 to other L21 SNPs
All relationships to other Y-SNPs have been fully tested and pass all ISOGG requirements.

ISOGG Status - Prove genetic and surname diversity of L319.1
L319.1 does not satisfy the genetic diversity requirement but does satisfy the surname diversity requirements for inclusion on the ISOGG haplotree. Two submissions of L319.1 must have at least a genetic distance of 10 (15 % x 67 markers = 10). Note that Greaves submission can not be verified via Y-SNP report (can not find any FTDNA report with this submission included).
