SUMMARY OF YSNP (May, 2016)
Classification of Branch: Near Genealogical - son of FGC5659.
Known sons: None.
Estimated Breadth of branch (speculative estimate of positive submissions) = around nine are known but scope is probably larger.
Scope of Testing within Signature: No testing within signatures other than three Big Y tests and one YSNP pack test.
Dominant Surnames: Kennedy (3), Bryant (2), O'Brien (1), Keyes (1) and Winnett (1) - many more could be added when true scope of branch becomes better known.
Date that branch was discovered: Unknown.
Source of Branch discovery: Three FTDNA Big Y tests (334249, 359721 and 346879).
Number of Negative Broad Tests: Around 45 Big Y results and 30 more via packs & panels.
Number of Negative Tests within Signature: None known.
Pending Tests (within signature): None known.
ANALYSIS OF CURRENT DC35/DC36 HAPLOTREE
I manually separated around 100 L226 submissions combined with 24 known YSNP results and used the SAPP tool to generate a chart which shows DC35 as a much broader scope YSNP than manual analysis supports. However, SAPP appears to be accurate upon inspection for those submissions discovered by my manual analysis. This branch of L226 has several issues preventing the complete descendant chart of DC35:
1) All four submissions that tested DC35+ have two common YSTR marker values and another major post DC35 YSTR based branch. Fortunately, the YSTRs associated with DC35 do not include YSTRs that had extensive parallel mutations. So the scope of DC35 may be pretty accurate and not a major branch under L226.
2) The current limit of around 100 submissions limits the accuracy of the desendant chart for this particular L226 branch. As SAPP limits are increased, more submissions will be included in the SAPP analysis, a few more submissions may be added to the DC35 branch over time.
3) The signatures associated with the DC35 was able to reveal five good testing candidates.
OTHER FUTURE YSNP TESTING
No pending tests are known.
DC35 Haplotree
The link to the haplotree chart is the best way to view the evolution of the DC35 haplotree. It is visually much easier to follow than spreadsheets and is very close to a genealogist descendant tree charts that genealogists already are well trained in analyzing:

Testing Candidate Recommendations
This summary will attempt to priortize testing and explain why each test is beneficial to the the verification of the DC35 branch.
Here are the priorities for testing:
1) It is recommended that all current submissions that are predicted DC35/DC36 positive should test only DC36 for $17.50 from YSEQ. There are currently five predicted DC36 positive testing candidates:
281586 Bryant
345292 Bryant
210449 Kennedy
240708 Kennedy
240923 Kennedy
3) Once these testing candidates are confirmed DC36 positive, testing is recommended for the private YSNPs associated with the NGS submissions whose signature matches each individual tester the best. This means you should only test private YSNPs for the NGS that is in the same branch as your submission. Im the future, this section will enhanced with actual testing recommendations for private YSNPs.
