SVEN BORJESSON (1) is the oldest known ancestor of the fraternal line of Aaron Peterson.  Sven Borjesson was a famous member of the Swedish parliament.  Sven Borjesson was the father of at least one son:

PER PERSSON (3) is the son of Per Svensson.  Per Persson lived at the village of Hostena 5, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  Per Persson married Catarina Olofsdotter.  Catarina was born on a farm near Hostena.  Per and Catarina Persson were the parents of at least one son:

ANDERS PERSSON (4) is the son of Per Persson and Catarina (Olofsdotter) Persson.  Anders was born in 1807 in the village of Hostena, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  Anders Persson married Maria Persdotter.  Maria was born in 1807 in the village of Brogard, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  Anders and Maria Persson were the parents of nine children:

Anders Persson was a farm owner.  Anders Persson died in Hostena in 1875.  Maria (Persdotter) Persson died in 1880.  Bengt Aron Andersson died at the age of fifteen in 1846.  Anders Jakob Andersson died at the age of seven in 1847.  Sven Otto Andersson died at the age of three in 1846.  August Andersson was a farm owner at Hostena and died, unmarried, in 1891.  Johan Aron Severin Andersson died at the age of five in 1852.  Bernhardina Josefina Severina Andersson died as an infant in 1849.

CARL PETTER ANDERSSON (4.3) is the son of Anders Persson and Maria (Persdotter) Persson.  Carl was born in 1834 in Hostena, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  In 1856, Carl Andersson married Johanna Sofia Larsdotter.  Johanna was born in 1831 in Sweden and is from Trustorp village, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  Carl and Johanna Andersson were the parents of six children:

Carl Andersson was a homeowner in village of Hostena 5, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  Johanna Andersson died in 1916 and Carl Andersson died in 1918.  Anna Lovisa Carlsson died, umarried, in 1949.  Josefina Sofia Carlsson died, unmarried, in 1891.  August Carlsson was an owner of a home in Hostena from 1916 to 1926.  August Carlsson died, unmarried, in 1953.  Augusta Matilda Carlsson died at the age of thirteen in 1885.

MALKOLM CARLSSON (4.3.1) is the son of Carl Petter Andersson and Johanna Sofia (Larsdotter) Andersson.  Malkolm was born in 1857.  Carl was a farm owner near the village of Hogryd, Sibbarp Parish, Sweden.  In 1896, Malkolm Carlsson married Neta Sofia Bengtsdotter at the home of Neta’s parents.  Neta was born in 1867.  Malkolm and Neta Carlsson were the parents of six children:

Malkolm Carlsson died in 1934 and Sofia (Bengtsdotter) Carlsson died in 1953.  Julia Malkolmsson died, unmarried, in 1971 at Falkenberg.  In 1945, Gustaf Malkolmsson married Kerstin Willstedt.  Kerstin was born in 1918 and is the daughter of J. A. Willstedt, vicar of Varnamo.  Gustaf and Kerstin Malkolmsson were the parents of three children.  Until 1980, Gustaf was homeowner at Hogryd and now lives at Falkenberg.  Gunnar Malkolmsson was a merchant at Vinberg, a parish near the city of Falkenberg.  Soren Malkolmsson married Helny Persson at Rolfstorp.  Helny was born in 1905.  Soren was a farmowner at Vinberg and now lives at Vinberg.  Soren and Helny Malkolmsson were the parents of two children:  -  Birgit Sorensson, b. 1931,  -  Elvy Margareta Sorensson, b. 1935.  Birgit was a famous songstress and married a Mr. Finnila.  Ake Malkolmsson lives at Lund, city of Skane.

CARL MALKOLMSSON (4.3.1.1) is the son of Malkolm Carlsson and Neta Sofia (Bengtsdotter) Carlsson.  Carl was born in 1897.  In 1926, Carl Malkolmsson married Gertrud Stener.  Gertrud was born in 1893 and is the daughter of farm owner from the village of Angryd, Sibbarp Parish, Sven Bengtsson and Sofia (Svensdotter) Bengtsson.  Carl and Gertrud Malkolmsson were the parents of three children:

   Bertil Carlsson, b. 1929
   Carl-Erik Carlsson, b. 1933

Carl Malkolmsson died in 1957 and Gertrud (Stener) Malkolmsson died in 1979.  Ruth Carlsson married Bertil Olsson, a farmer from Rommele.  Bertil Carlsson was a homeowner at Hostena until 1981 when he sold his home to Bengt Darhult, not a relative.  Bertil Carlsson now lives in Varberg.  Carl-Erik Carlsson lives at Vastra Frolunda (Goteborg).

BERNHARDINA CARLSSON (4.3.5) is the daughter of Carl Petter Andersson and Johanna Sofia (Larsdotter) Andersson.  Berhardina was born in 1868.  Berhardina Carlsson married Gustaf Johansson.  Gustaf was born in 1875.  Gustaf was a farmowner near Hostena.  Gustaf and Berhardina Johansson were the parents of two children:

   Gerda Gustafsson, b. 1898

Anna Gustafsson died, unmarried, before 1953.  Gerda Gustafsson married Ragnar Bengtsson of Alfshog, a parish next to Ljungby.  Ragnar and Gerda Bengtsson were the parents of two children:  -  Gert-Erik Ragnarsson,  -  Bo Ragnarsson.  Gerda (Gustafsson) Bengtsson died in 1955.  Gert-Erik Ragnarsson lives at Falkenberg and Bo Ragnarsson lives at Goteborg.

PER ANDERSSON (4.4) is the son of Anders Persson and Maria (Persdotter) Persson.  Per was born in 1837 in Hostena, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  In 1864, Per Andersson married Lisa Johansdotter.  Lisa was born in 1845 and is a cousin to the writer August Bondeson.  Per and Lisa Andersson were the parents of four children:

   Karl Persson, b. 1883

Per Andersson was a farm owner near the village of Attarp, Ljungby Parish, Sweden until 1903.  Per Andersson died in 1910 in Falkenberg.  Anna Matilda Persson married Johan Oscar Johansson, a farmer at Trustorp, Ljungby Parish, and later at Gallared.  Johan and Anna Johansson were the parents of four children.  Ida Marie Persson married Bengt Johan Almqvist of Falkenberg.  Bengt and Ida Almqvist of one daughter:  -  Ingeborg Almqvist who is unmarried.  Karl Persson moved to Tryde, Skane in 1905.

PETTER JOHAN ANDERSSON (5) is the son of Anders Persson and Maria (Persdotter) Persson.  Petter was born on June 15, 1828 at the village of Hostena, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  In 1849, Petter Andersson married Dorotea Olsdotter.  Dorotea was born on August 11, 1827 at the village of Trustorp, Ljungby Parish, Sweden and is the daughter of the farm tenant Olof Tortensson and Petronella (Svensdotter) Tortensson.  Petter and Dorotea Andersson were the parents of five children (because of their children moved to United States, their names were anglicized):

In 1879, Dorotea (Olsdotter) Andersson moved to United States with her three daughters.  Her husband, Petter Andersson remained in Sweden.  Dorotea (Olsdotter) Andersson died on February 1, 1885.  Petter Andersson died on February 15, 1905 at the village of Hostena 5, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  Emelie Peterson moved to the United States in 1879 with her mother.  Emilie Peterson died in 1890.  Pagiel Peterson moved to United States around 1872.  Augusta and Anna Peterson moved to the United States with their mother in 1879.

AARON PETERSON (6) is the son of Petter Johan Andersson and Dorotea (Olsdotter) Andersson.  Aaron was born on May 28, 1850 in the village of Frigarde, Sibbarp Parish, Sweden.  In 1871, Aaron Peterson emigrated to United States.  On November 23, 1888, Aaron Peterson married Hilma Joshophina Johnson.  Hilma’s mother’s first name was Anna.  Hilma was born on January 29, 1861 in Dalby, Sweden.  Aaron and Hilma Peterson were the parents of seven children:

   John Arthur Peterson, b. September, 1889, Omaha, Nebraska
   Olga Charlotte Peterson (7), b. August 11, 1891, Omaha, Nebraska
   Adolph Peterson , died as an infant
   Hazel Dorothea Peterson (6.4), b. August 27, 1894, Ord, Nebraska
   Henry Leonard Peterson (6.5), b. November 1, 1899, Ord, Nebraska
   Ora Viola Peterson (6.6), b. March 23, 1901, Ord, Nebraska
   Paul Emil Peterson (6.7), b. June 18, 1903, Ord, Nebraska

In 1900, Aaron and Hilma Peterson were living in Valley County, Nebraska.  Aaron and Hilma Peterson lived near Ord, Nebraska for at least ten years, moving to Michigan in 1909.  Aaron Peterson died on June 8, 1914 of kidney failure and Hilma (Johnson) Peterson died on September 23, 1953.  Both were buried in Wayland, Michigan.  Arthur Peterson never married and died of possible appendicitis in June, 1914 and was buried in Wayland, Michigan.  At the time of his death, he was engaged to be married.  Olga Peterson married Melvin Floyd Thede.  For additional information on the descendants of Melvin and Olga Thede, see the sketch of Melvin Floyd Thede (4).

HAZEL DOROTHEA PETERSON (6.4) is the daughter of Aaron Peterson and Hilma (Johnson) Peterson.  Hazel was born on August 27, 1894 in Ord, Nebraska.  Hazel married Lloyd Donald Coyle (born in 1905, Paducah, Kentucky).  “Coyle” and Hazel lived in Chicago, Illinois for many years.  They were avid fishermen.  “Coyle” and Hazel Coyle had no children.  “Coyle” died on December 31, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois and Hazel (Peterson) Coyle died on January 28, 1983 in Wayland, Michigan.

HENRY LEONARD PETERSON (6.5) is the son of Aaron Peterson and Hilma (Johnson) Peterson.  Henry was born on November 1, 1899 in Ord, Nebraska.  Henry Peterson first married in Chicago in the early 1930’s to Vivian Southworth (she died in the 1930’s).  Henry had a college degree and worked at a large department store in Chicago.  On July 6, 1936, Henry married a second time to Dorothy Rachel Grandy in Wayland, Michigan.  Dorothy was born on September 19, 1911 in Moline, Michigan and is the daughter of Chester Martin Grandy and Mary Catherine (Short) Grandy.  Henry and Dorothy Peterson are the parents of one son:

   Ronald Arthur Peterson (6.5.1)

Henry worked as dairy farmer in Wayland for at least forty years.  Dorothy (Grandy) Peterson was a beautician and a librarian at the Wayland library for many years.  As of 1985, Henry and Dorothy Peterson were living in Wayland, Michigan on Aaron Peterson’s original farm in Michigan.  Henry Peterson died on May 26, 1986.

RONALD ARTHUR PETERSON (6.5.1) is the son of Henry Leonard Peterson and Dorothy Rachel (Grandy) Peterson.  Ron Peterson received a doctorate degree and is a professor at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.  Ron Peterson married Carol Jean Hershman.

ORA VIOLA PETERSON (6.6) is the daughter of Aaron Peterson and Hilma (Johnson) Peterson.  Ora was born on March 23, 1901 in Ord, Nebraska.  She was born to a a pioneer family and resided in a sod house.  She graduated from the old Western State Normal School in 1923 and moved to Battle Creek from Wayland in 1926.  She taught in elementary school in Otsego, Michigan.  On October 7, 1928, Ora Peterson married Ray Lee Kent (born June 6, 1894 in Reed City, Michigan) and they had no children.  Ray was a substation supervisor at Consumer Powers for many years.  Ora later was a laboratory technician in Battle Creek at the old Battle Creek Sanitarium.  She retired in 1959 as head of the laboratory department.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and formerly was active in women’s organziations of the church.  Ray L. Kent died on December, 13,1969 in Battle Creek, Michigan.  Ora (Peterson) Kent died on October 23, 1985 in Sandy Creek Nursing Center in Wayland, Michigan where she had been a patient for seven years.

PAUL EMIL PETERSON (6.7) is the son of Aaron Peterson and Hilma (Johnson) Peterson.  Paul was born on June 18, 1903 in Ord, Nebraska.  On June 9, 1928, Paul Peterson married “Mary Lois” Fowler in White Pigeon, Michigan.. Mary Lois was born on October 15, 1904 in Hart, Michigan and she is the daughter of Clifford Clyde Fowler and Alice (Rogers) Fowler. Paul and Mary Lois Peterson are the parents of two daughters:

Paul Peterson farmed on the Peterson farm in Wayland, Michigan until 1938.  From 1938 to 1945, Paul operated an electric power plant and also worked as a U.S. Government meat inspector is several cities.  In 1945, Paul Peterson attended the course of study for dental laboratory technicians at the Technical School in Elkhart, Indiana from 1945 to 1947.  Paul then worked as a Dental Lab Technician in various cities until his retirement in 1967. Paul Peterson took off one year in that time span, (1952 to 1953) to work full-time building his dream house in Reddick, Florida.  Mary Lois Peterson earned a teaching certicate in Elementary Education from Kalamazoo Western Michigan Collegee in 1925.  After several years of teaching, Mary Lois earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the Pestalozzi Frobel Teachers College in Chicago in 1944.  Mary Lois Peterson taught elementary school for many years in various cities.  Mary Lois Peterson retired in 1965.  Paul and Mary Lois Peterson lived in Saint Petersburg, Florida since 1981.  Paul Peterson died on February 7, 1998 in Saint Petersburg, Florida and Mary Lois (Fowler) Peterson died on July 29, 1998 at the the home of her daugher and son-in-law, Dr.  and Mrs. Joe Gonzalez.

ANNE FOWLER PETERSON (6.7.1) is the daughter of Paul Emil Peterson and Mary Lois (Fowler) Peterson.  Anne was born  April 2, 1933 in Wayland, Michigan.  On December 29, 1957, Anne Peterson married Rupert N. Caviness, Jr. at the First United Methodist Church in Ocala, Florida.  Rupert was born September 11, 1930 in Ocala, Florida.  Rupert is the son of Rupert Newby Caviness and Euna (Ingram) Caviness.  Rupert and Anne Caviness are the parents of two children:

   Carol Marie Caviness (6.7.1.1), b. February 26, 1963, St. Petersburg, Florida
   Nancy Kaye Caviness (6.7.1.2), b. February 17, 1966, Jacksonville, Florida

Anne (Peterson) Caviness earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Cello in 1955 from Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio (now a part of Miami University of Ohio).  Later, she took courses in the College of Education at the University of Florida, Univeristy of South Florida and University of Central Florida.  Anne was certified to teach: 1) music in elementary and secondary schools; 2) classroom in elementary schools; and 3) pre-kindergarten (students & parents) in a special lab school in Brevard County, Florida.  Anne was an elementary school teacher in Gainsville, Florida; Ocala, Florida; Decatur, Georgia; Sarasota, Florida (Presbyterian kindergarten); Mt. Dora, Florida; and Rockledge, Florida.  Anne also taught in a Pre-K Lab School (for pre-K students and parents) in Rocklege, Florida, which was sponsored by Brevard Community College.  Anne was also on the adjunct faculty ar Pasco-Hernando Community College in Dade City, Florida.  Anne has performed as a cellist in the following groups: University of Florida Symphony; Jax Symphony; Brevard Symphony; Bach Chamber Ochestra in Lakeland.

Rupert Caviness attended the University of Florida from 1948 to 1950.  Rupert then served in the United Staes Air Force from 1950 to 1954, during the Korean War.  He was discharged as a Staff Sergeant in September of 1954.  Rupert then returned to the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in January of 1957.  He was a member of KA Fraternity at University of Florida.  Rupert completed a management course at the General Motors Institute in April 1957.  Rupert then worked as a salesman and sales manager at Caviness Motor Company from 1957 to 1960.  He then enrolled in the Candler School of Theology, Emory University in September of 1960 and earned his Masters of Divinity degree in January of 1963.  After ordination in The United Methodist Church, he was pastor of the following churches in the Florida Conference: Davenport; Gilmore - Jacksonville; North - Sarasota; First - Mt. Dora; St. Andrew’s - Fort Lauderdale; St. John’s - Winter Haven; First - Rockledge; First - Dade City; and Avondale - Jacksonville.  He retired in 1992.  As of 1998, Rupert and Anne Caviness live in Ocala, Florida where they lived since 1985.

CAROL MARIE CAVINESS (6.7.1.1) is the daughter of Rupert N. Caviness, Jr. and Anne Fowler (Peterson) Caviness.  Carol was born February 26, 1963 in St. Petersburg, Florida.  On March 26, 1994, Carol M. Caviness married Glenn V. Cameron at the First United Methodist Church in Ocala, Florida.  Glenn was born on April 26, 1961 in Miami, Florida and is the son of Julian Alvis Cameron and LaVernne (Helton) Cameron.  Carol’s  father, the Reverend Rupert N. Caviness, Jr., conducted the marriage service and was assisted by the Reverend Joe H. Smith, pastor of the church.  Carol and Glenn Cameron are the parents of two children:

   Courtney Anne Cameron, b. May 18, 1995, Ocala, Florida
   Colton Janes Cameron, b. October 15, 1997, Ocala, Florida

Carol earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Elemenatary Education in 1985 from the Univeristy of Florida.  Carol is a certified teacher, teaching at various schools since 1985, and as of 1998, she is teaching Pre-Kindergarten Handicapped at Oakcrest Elemenatary School in Ocala, Florida.  Carol Cameron has been a Supervising Teacher for interns and beginning teachers.  Glenn Cameron earned an Associate of Science in Electronic Technology in 1985 and as of 1998 is employed as an electronics technician for Pneumatic Product Corporation in Ocala, Florida.

NANCY KAYE CAVINESS (6.7.1.2) is the daughter of Rupert N. Caviness, Jr. and Anne Fowler (Peterson) Caviness.  Nancy was born February 17, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida.  On May 21, 1988, Nancy Caviness married Douglas “Doug” Eldridge Johnson at the First United Methodist Church in Dade City, Florida.  Doug was born on February 15, 1957 in Dade City, Florida and is the son of Jackson “Jack” C. Johnson and Mary (Ingram) Johnson.  Nancy’s father, the Reverend Rupert N. Caviness, Jr., conducted the marriage service and was assisted by the Reverend Dr. Gaylon L. Howe, retired United Methodist minister, who had conducted the marriage service for Nancy’s parents and had baptized Nancy and her sister, Carol.  Doug and Nancy Johnson are the parents of three children:

Nancy (Caviness) Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1988.  Nancy had worked at various positions in the banking industry, and as of 1998, she is a full-time mother and homemaker.  Doug Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1979 from Florida State University, Tallahassee, completed the Florida School of Banking course and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking course.  As of 1998, Doug is an agent for State Farm Insurance in Tampa, Florida.

KATHYRN JANE PETERSON (6.7.2), is the daughter of Paul Emil Peterson and Mary Lois (Fowler) Peterson.  “Jane” was born December 27, 1934 in Wayland, Michigan.  On June 4, 1960, Jane Peterson married Joe V. Gonzalez at the University Methodist Church in Gainesville, Florida.  Joe was born August 17, 1930 in Tampa, Florida and is the son of Victor Eusachio Gonzalez and Soledat (Mateo) Gonzalez.  Joe and Jane Gonzalez are the parents of three children:

   Lisa Ann Gonzalez (adopted), b. July 20, 1963, Houston, Texas
   Linda Kay Gonzalez (adopted), b. May 9, 1964, San Antonio, Texas
   Laura Jean Gonzalez, b. July 21, 1965, San Antonio, Texas

Jane (Peterson) Gonzalez recieved a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Technology in 1956 from Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio (now a part of Miami University of Ohio).  Jane has worked at various blood banks in Texas and Florida.  Joe V. Gonzales earned a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude in 1953 from University of Florida in Gainseville, Florida.  Joe then served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1956.  Joe then attended the Medical School at the Unviersity of Florida, earning a Doctorate of Medicine in 1961.  Joe was physician in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1978.  After retiring from the United States Air Force, he held various positions as a physician and was a faculty member of the Florida Mental Health Institute, University of South Florida.  Joe Gonzales retired in 1997.

Lisa Gonzalez attended Florida State University.  On June 15, 1985, Lisa Gonzales married Jeffrey Alan Bradley in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Jefferey and Lisa Bradley are the parents of one son:  -  Chistopher Alan Bradley, b. November 18, 1990, St. Petersburg, Florida.  Linda Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986 from Florida State University.  Laura Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education in 1987 from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.  On June 19, 1993, Laura Gonzalez married Hal Stephen Hamburg.  Hal and Laura Hamburg are the parents of two children:  -  Jeffrey Bryan Hamburg, b. November 1, 1985, Dunedin, Florida (child of Hal and first wife),  -  Rebecca Jane Hamburg, b. June 19, 1996, St. Petersburg, Florida.

PARENTS OF HILMA JOHNSON (21)

According to Mary Lois Peterson, Hilma (Johnson) Peterson’s father was possibly Andrew Johnson.  According to Howard Thede, Hilma (Johnson) Peterson’s father was John Olis Johnson.  According to the 1900 census, “Annie C.” Johnson was living with their son, Joseph Johnson.  This implies that Andrew or John Olis Johnson died prior to 1900 .  According to the 1900 census, Annie C. Johnson was born in July of 1834 in Sweden.  Her tombstone shows that she was born in 1839.  According to Howard Thede, Anna “Charlotte” Johnson was born in Dalby, Sodermanland Parish, Sweden.  Anna Johnson was the mother of at least seven children:

In 1900, “Annie C.” Johnson was living in Ord, Valley County, Nebraska with her son Joseph, and she was listed as a widow.  According to the 1900 census, Anna Johnson immigrated to the United Sates in 1882.  Also immigrating to the United States in 1882 were her children, Joseph, Hilda and Carolina.  The immigration dates of the other children are unknown but were probably the same year.  Anna Johnson died in 1913 and was buried in Wayland, Michigan.

In 1880, Hilma Johnson immigrated from a farm in Vasteras Sweden (west of Stockholm) with a girlfriend.  According to Mary Lois Peterson, “she landed at Middletown, Connecticut.  A relative there helped her get work as a cook for a wealthy family.  Hilma later moved to Jamestown, New York, where she had saved enough money to bring the rest of her family to the United States.”  Hilma Johnson married Aaron Peterson, both direct ancestors of the author.  For additional information on the descendants of Aaron and Hilma Peterson, see the sketch of Aaron Peterson (6).

At one time, David Johnson lived in Omaha, Nebraska.  He drove horses and delivered beer for Anhueser Busch Company for many years.  He was stately and handsome.  David Johnson married a Pennsylvania Dutch woman, name unknown.  David Johnson died in 1936.  Joseph Johnson was a postal carrier in the Nebraska and accidentally shot his hand.  Joseph Johnson died, unmarried, in 1952 and was buried in Wayland, Michigan.  Mary Johnson married Henry Moeller and they lived in the Wayland, Michigan area.  Henry and Mary Moeller had five children:  -  Donald Moeller,  -  Helen Moeller,  -  Gladys Moeller,  -  Ed Moeller,  -  Ted Moeller.  Mary (Johsnon) Moeller died in 1949.  Donald Moeller lives in Holland, Michigan.  Helen Moeller married a Mr. Grusczynski (he died in the 1920s or 1930s).  Ed Moeller died in the 1970s.  Ted Moeller died in the 1960s.  Carolina “Lena” Johnson married Ed Pryor and they had one son:  -  Harold R. Pryor.  Around 1975, Harold Pryor was living in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Anna Johnson married Jim Corner and they lived in Nebraska.

HILDA E. JOHNSON (21.5) is the daughter of Annie C. Johnson.  Hilda was born in 1875 in Sweden.  Hilda Johnson married Alfred Nelson (born March, 1865 in Nebraska).  Alfred and Hilda Nelson were the parents of three children:

   Irene Nelson, b. June, 1899, Nebraska
   Paul Nelson (adopted), b. July, 1896
   Merle Nelson

In 1900, Alfred and Hilda Nelson were living in Ord, Valley County, Nebraska.  In 1900, Hilda’s sister, Carolina (Lena) Johnson, was single and was living with them.  Alfred Nelson was a dentist.  Alfred and Hilda Nelson lived in Nebraska, Michigan, Virginia and Florida.  Hilda (Johnson) Nelson died in 1946 in Orange Lake, Florida.

OLOF TOTSTENSSON (31) is the son of Torsten Olsson, a farm tenant from the village of Stum, Ljungby Parish, Sweden.  Olof was born in 1791 at the village of Stum, Sweden.  Olof Torstensson married Petronella Svensdotter.  Petronella was born in 1792 at the village of Vallby, Alfshog, Sweden and is the daughter of Sven Hansson, farm tenant at Vallby.  Olof and Petronella Torstensson were the parents of three children:

   Anna Christina Olsdotter (31.1), b. 1822
   Dorotea Olsdotter (32), b. August 11, 1827
   Anders Olsson, b. 1833

Dorotea Olsdotter married Petter Johan Andersson.  For more additional information on the descendants of Petter and Dorotea Andersson, see the sketch of Petter Johan Andersson (5).  Anders Olsson died in 1858.

ANNA CHRISTINA OLSDOTTER (31.1) is the daughter of Olof Torstensson and Petronella (Svensdotter) Torstensson.  Anna was born in 1822.  In 1845, Anna Olsdotter married Johannes Andersson.  Johannes was born in 1820 and is the son of Anders Andersson, a farm owner at Smedsgard, Tvaaker and Inger (Borjesdotter) Andersson.  Johannes and Anna Andersson were homeowners in Trustorp, Ljungby Parish.  Johannes and Anna Andersson were the parents of three children:

   Claes Elis Johansson (31.1.2), b. 1850
   Johanna Olivia Johansson, b. 1857

Anna (Olsdotter) Andersson died in 1890 and Johannes Andersson died 1909.  Johanna Olivia Johansson died at the age of five in 1862.

ANDERS JOHANSSON (31.1.1) is the son of Johannes Anderson and Anna Christina (Olsdotter) Anderson.  Anders was born in 1847.  Anders was a homeowner in Trustorp until 1920 and thereafter was a farm owner at Karreberg, Alfshog.  In 1884, Anders Johansson married Anna Hellman (born 1861).  Anders and Anna Johansson were the parents of six children (most took their mother’s name as their surname):

   Anders Vilhelm Johannes, b. 1886
   Axel Gunnar Hellman, b. 1888
   Fredrik Daniel, b. 1890
   Karl Henrik Hellman, b. 1892
   Erik Daniel Hellman, b. 1895

Anders Johansson died in 1934 and Anna (Hellman) Johansson died in 1919.  Helena married Marten Sohrman (born 1885).  Marten was a farmer at Farjestaden, Nybro, Varo and is the son of Johannes Sohrman (vicar at Varo) and Sigrid (Heuman) Sohrman.  Marten and Helena Sohrman were the parents of seven children:  -  Lena Sohrman,  -  Britta Sohrman,  -  Sven Sohrman,  -  Inga Sohrman,  -  Lars Sohrman,  -  Martin Sohrman,  -  Kerstin Sohrman.  Lena Sohrman married Gideen and was living at Revinge, Skane in 1971.  Britta Sohrman married Hjern and was living at Malmo, Skane in 1981.  Sven Sohrman lived at Falkenbarg.  Inga Sohrman married Gunnar Snickare and lives at Sodertalje.  Lars Sohrman lived at Huddinge, Stockholm.  Martin Sohrman was living at Boras in 1971.  Kerstin married Wernstrom and they have two children:  -  Goran,  -  Birgitta.  Kerstin Sohrman died in 1971.  Goran married Wernstrom and was living at Vastra Frolunda, Goteborg in 1971.  Birgitta later married Olav Berge.  Birgitta lived at Budskar, Saro.

Anders Vilhelm Johannes died in 1903.  Axel Hellman married Elsa Torborg Hagard (born 1889).  Elsa (Hagard) Johannes died in 1919.  Axel Hellma married a second time to Greta Holmqvist (born 1897) and they had three children:  -  Elsa, b. 1923,  -  Anna, b. 1926, d. 1931,  -  Kerstin, b. 1930.  Axel Hellman studied theology and became vicar at Uddevalla in 1948.  Elsa studied law and was living at Uddevalla in 1981.  In 1953, Kerstin married Carl Erik Tornqvist Stenungsund.  Fredrik Daniel died in 1890.  Karl Hellman stayed at home and never married.  Karl Hellma died in 1936.  Erik Hellman was a home owner at Karreberg, Alfshog.  Erik Hellma died in 1971.

CLAES ELIS JOHANSSON (31.1.2) is the son of Johannes Anderson and Anna Christina (Olsdotter) Anderson.  Claes was born in 1850.  Claes studied theology in Sweden and Germany and received a doctor of Theology in 1907.  Claes was a professor of Theology and became a vicar at Helsingborg.  In 1883, Claes Johansson married Maria Toren.  Maria was born in 1856 and is the daughter of Carl Axel Toren.  Claes and Maria Johansson were the parents of five children:

   Ellen Johansson, b. 1884
   Ruth Johansson, b. 1887
   Ernst Johansson, b. 1890
   Hugo Johansson, b. 1893
   Dagmar Johansson, b. 1895

Claes Johansson died in 1924 and Maria (Toren) Johansson died in 1947.  Ellen did not marry and lived at Helsingborg and later Lund.  Ruth did not marry and was a doctress at Lund.  In 1939, Ernst Johansson married Maud Hartwig (born 1905).  Ernst was a dentist at Stockholm and died about 1980.  Hugo Johansson died as an infant in 1894.  Dagmar Johansson married Sven Svenninger (born 1893) who was vicar at Vallkarra.
