Franklin Thompson died on April 4, 1868 and was buried in the Thompson-Lackey Cemetery. James Thompson, III served as a private in Company K of the Seventh Regiment and was taken prisoner at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on July 3, 1863 and died in September/October, 1863. Elem Thompson moved to Texas as a young man. Elem Thompson and his wife, Lula J. Thompson, had five children: - Maude Thompson, - Ella Thompson, - Annie Thompson, - Carl Thompson, - Mable Thompson. Elem and Lula Thompson separated and Lula and children lived in San Antonio, Texas. Elem Thompson died in New Mexico.
