MOSES LACKEY (71.3.4) is the son of William Lackey and Agnes Nancy (Stevenson) Lackey.  Moses was born on March 22, 1780 in North Carolina.  Moses Lackey married Margaret Lusk (born February 10, 1780 in South Carolina).  Moses and Margaret Lackey were the parents of four children:

     Mary Lusk Lackey (71.3.4.2), b. September 16, 1809, North Carolina
     Alexander Lackey (71.3.4.3), b. January 14, 1813, North Carolina

In 1840, Moses Lackey was living in Iredell County, North Carolina.  In 1850, Moses and Margaret Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Margaret (Lusk) Lackey died on August 12, 1857.  In 1860, Moses Lackey was living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Moses Lackey died on September 15, 1865 in North Carolina.

ABNER HAMILTON LACKEY (71.3.4.1) is the son of Moses Lackey and Margaret (Lusk) Lackey.  Abner was born on October 2, 1807 in North Carolina.  On September 17, 1840, Abner Lackey married Elizabeth Clary (born August 20, 1820 in North Carolina).  Abner and Elizabeth Lackey were the parents of four children:

     Carion Canset Lackey (71.3.4.1.1), b. August 11, 1842, North Carolina
     Margaret Elemeda Lackey, b. October 20, 1849, North Carolina
     John Clark Lackey, b. July 20, 1856, Alexander County, North Carolina

From 1850 to 1880, Abner and Elizabeth Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Elizabeth (Clary) Lackey died on July 16, 1882 and Abner H. Lackey died in December of 1897.  Margaret Lackey married Joe Gooden and they had four children:  -  Pool Gooden, d. September 1, 1958,  -  Lillie Gooden,  -  Will Gooden,  -  Albert Gooden, d. August 9, 1958.  John C. Lackey died as a child on December 15, 1861.  Laura J. Lackey died on January 31, 1958.

CARION CANSET LACKEY (71.3.4.1.1) is the daughter of Abner Hamilton Lackey and Elizabeth (Clary) Lackey.  Carion was born on August 11, 1842 in North Carolina.  Carion Lackey married James Durmire and they were the parents of two children:

     Mary Catherine Durmire, b. 1868, North Carolina

MARY LUSK LACKEY (71.3.4.2) is the daughter of Moses Lackey and Margaret (Lusk) Lackey.  Mary was born on September 16, 1809 in North Carolina.  Mary L. Lackey married Mortimer Murdock (born January 10, 1815 in North Carolina) and they were the parents of three children:

In 1880, Mortimer and Mary Murdock were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Mary (Lackey) Murdock died of cancer on June 1, 1887.  In 1900, Mortimer Murdock and his second wife, Mary A. Murdock (born October, 1839, North Carolina), were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Mortimer Murdock died on November 23, 1901.  Thomas Murdock married Elizabeth Beckham and they had two children:  -  Numa Murdock,  -  Clelia Murdock.  Clelia Murdock married a Mr. Sharpe.

Lackey married Martha Susan (Beckham) Hartness (born July 1, 1840 in North Carolina).  Susan was widow with one son: William H. Hartness (born 1864 in North Carolina).  Susan’s first husband was killed in the Civil War.  Robert and Susan Lackey were the parents of seven children:

MOSES TERRY LACKEY (71.3.4.3.3) is the son of Alexander Lackey and Susan (Kirby) Lackey.  Moses was born on May 11, 1845 in North Carolina.  On February 15, 1872, Moses Lackey married Amanda Woodward (born May 8, 1841).  Moses and Amanda Lackey were the parents of five children:
