ANNIE STEVENSON (71.2) is the daughter of James Stevenson and Sarah (Kelly) Stevenson.  Annie was born in 1758 in Maryland.  On December 3, 1780, Annie Stevenson married George Lackey in North Carolina.  George was born on September 14, 1759.  George Lackey is one of three Lackey brothers that married three daughters of James and Sarah Stevenson.  George and Annie Lackey were the parents of at least one son:

     George Hamilton Lackey, Jr. (71.2.1), b. February 19, 1792, North Carolina

George Lackey, Sr. served in the Revolutionary War.  In 1840, George Lackey was living in Iredell County, North Carolina.  George Lackey, Sr. died on March 4, 1841.

GEORGE HAMILTON LACKEY, JR. (71.2.1) is the son of George Lackey and Annie (Stevenson) Lackey.  George was born on February 19, 1792 in North Carolina.  On March 20, 1820, George Lackey married Susan Carson (born April 14, 1799 in North Carolina).  In 1840, George H. Lackey was living in Iredell County, North Carolina.  From 1850 to 1860, George and Susan Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  George and Susan Lackey were the parents of seven children:

Lackey, in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Susan (Carson) Lackey died on December 2, 1888.  Robert C. Lackey died on November 27, 1888.  Alyann Lackey died on March 30, 1896.  Temperance Lackey died on April 2, 1914.

JAMES ALLEN LACKEY (71.2.1.3) is the son of George Hamilton Lackey, Jr. and Susan (Carson) Lackey.  James was born on October 1, 1825 in North Carolina.  On February 19, 1849, James A. Lackey married Verlinda E. Tays (born 1828 in North Carolina).  James and Verlinda Lackey were the parents of four children:

From 1850 to 1860, James and Verlinda Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  James A. Lackey served as a private in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.  James served in Company G, 38th Regiment, North Carolina Infantry.  James was captured at Gettysburg and died as a prisoner of war at Fort Delaware on October 15, 1863.  In 1880, Velinda (Tays) Lackey was living with her son, Henry Lackey, in Alexander County, North Carolina.  John Lackey went west and reportedly settled in Kansas.

ROBERT SMITH LACKEY (71.2.1.3.1) is the son of James Allen Lackey and Verlinda E. (Tays) Lackey.  Robert was born on April 3, 1857 in Alexander County, North Carolina.  On February 17, 1877, Robert Lackey married Orpha L. Woodward (born June 30, 1855 in North Carolina).  Robert and Orpha Lackey were the parents of nine children:

Lackey died on February 21, 1935 and Orpha (Woodward) Lackey died on August 16, 1947.  Ila Lackey married James Meadows.  James Lackey married Ola Mae Lackey.  Frank Lackey never married.  Lee Lackey married Lucy Williams.  Bertha Lackey never married.  Clarence Lackey married Effie Johnson.  Nola Lackey married Henry DuPree.

GEORGE WOODWARD LACKEY (71.2.1.3.1.4) is the son of Robert Smith Lackey and Orpha L. (Woodward) Lackey.  George was born on April 20, 1885 in Alexander County, North Carolina.  On November 12, 1911, George W. Lackey married Flossie Rochester Head.  Flossie was born on June 26, 1893 and is the daughter of James A. Head and Doshia (Davis) Head.  George and Flossie Lackey were the parents of seven children:

ALFRED BRODE LACKEY (71.2.1.3.1.8) is the son of Robert Smith Lackey and Orpha L. (Woodward) Lackey.  Alfred was born on October 5, 1894 in Alexander County, North Carolina.  In August of 1920, Alfred B. Lackey married Pauline Lillian Dellinger (born November 10, 1899).  Alfred and Pauline Lackey had five children:

LON MILLS LACKEY (71.2.1.3.4.4) is the son of Henry Nesbitt Lackey and Beatrice Lackey.  Lon was born on March 15, 1888 in North Carolina.  In January of 1910, Lon Lackey married Bertha Warren.  Bertha was born on March 28, 1889 and is the daughter of Fonzie Alexander Warren and Nealy (Watts) Warren.  Lon and Bertha Lackey were the parents of  four children:

WALTER ALONZO LACKEY (71.2.1.3.4.4.2) is the son of Lon Mills Lackey and Fonzie Alexender (Warren) Lackey.  Walter was born on August 16, 1915.  On December 22, 1934, Walter Lackey married Lena Lambert.  Lena was born on July 17, 1914 and is the daughter of Tobe S. Lambert and Henrietta (Tayse) Lambert.  Walter and Lena Lackey were the parents of three children:

WILLIAM HAMILTON LACKEY (71.2.1.7) is the son of George Hamilton Lackey and Susan (Carson) Lackey.  William was born on May 23, 1836 in North Carolina.  On November 17, 1858, William H. Lackey married Lucinda Elizabeth Bradshaw (born July 6, 1838 in North Carolina).  William and Lucinda Lackey were the parents of four children:

In 1860, William and Lucinda Lackey were living with Williams father in Alexander County, North Carolina.  From 1870 to 1900, William and Lucinda Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  In 1870, Williams mother, Susan (Carson) Lackey, was living with them.  In 1910, William and Lucinda Lackey were living with their daughter, Susan Lackey, in Alexander County, North Carolina.  William H. Lackey died on April 16, 1912 and Lucinda (Bradshaw) Lackey died on November 13, 1921.  Senith Susan Lackey died on December 27, 1951.

JOHN CARSON LACKEY (71.2.1.7.2) is the son of William Hamilton Lackey and Lucinda E. (Bradshaw) Lackey.  John was born on September 17, 1862 in Alexander County, North Carolina.  John C. Lackey married Martha Louise Smith.  Martha was born on born May 18, 1875 and is the daughter of John Preston Smith and Emma (Sherrill) Smith.  John and Martha Lackey were the parents of at least two children:

     Blanche Elizabeth Lackey, b. February 11, 1897, Alexander County, North Car.
     Charlie C. Lackey (71.2.1.7.2.2), b. December 22, 1898, Alexander Co., N. Car.

John C. Lackey died on June 9, 1898 and Martha (Smith) Lackey died on June 21, 1940.  On November 28, 1928, Blanche Lackey married Bryan Jennings Powell (born May 10, 1896) and they had one son:  -  Lynn Lackey Powell.  Bryan Powell died in 1973.  Lynn Powell has two sons:  -  Bryan Jennings Powell, II,  -  Jeffrey Stewart Powell.

CHARLIE CARSON LACKEY (71.2.1.7.2.2) is the son of John Carson Lackey and Martha Louise (Smith) Lackey.  Charlie was born on December 22, 1898 in Alexander County, North Carolina.  On November 3, 1921, Charlie Lackey married Maybelle Thomas.  Maybelle was born on September 6, 1899 and is the daughter of Alexander Hiram Thomas and Minnie Mae (Johnson) Thomas.  Charlie and Maybelle Lackey were the parents of five children:

RUTH ELIZABETH LACKEY (71.2.1.7.2.2.2) is the daughter of Charlie Carson Lackey and Maybelle (Thomas) Lackey.  Ruth was born on February 16, 1924.  On November 21, 1942, Ruth Lackey married Allen Franklin Ford.  Allen F. Ford died on December 4, 1944.  Ruth married a second time to Samuel Dwight Johnson (born September 6, 1922) and they have four children:

ESCAR LEE LACKEY (71.2.1.7.2.2.4) is the son of Charlie Carson Lackey and Maybelle (Thomas) Lackey.  Escar was born on September 24, 1927.  On December 24, 1947, Escar Lackey married Betty Louise Teague.  Escar and Betty Lackey are the parents of three children:
