NANCY KAROL ARRINGTON (32.5) is the daughter of John Arrington and Sophia Arrington.  Nancy was born on February 24, 1824 in North Carolina.  On March 26, 1844, Nancy Arrington married George Washington Steele in Johnson County, Arkansas.  George was born on January 19, 1819 in Illinois.  George and Nancy Steele were the parents of nine children:

From 1850 to 1870, George and Nancy Steele were living in Newton County, Arkansas.  In 1880, George and Nancy Steele were living in Madison County, Arkansas.  George W. Steele served as a private in the Union Army, Company D of the First Regiment of the Arkansas Infantry under Captain W. H. Newman.  George enlisted on February 20, 1863 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  George Washington Steele died on May 26, 1887 in Madison County, Arkansas and Nancy (Arrington) Steele died on June 15, 1888 in Madison County, Arkansas.  Both were buried there in the Lower Wharton Creek Cemetery.

Nancy Steele married John Green Williams (born 1856 in Tennessee).  Green and Nancy Williams had two children:  -  George Williams, b. 1880, Arkansas,  -  Nannie B. Williams, b. 1880, Arkansas.  George Williams married a woman whose name was Allie.  On September 17, 1896, Nannie Williams married Morris Yeager in Pope County, Arkansas.

JOHN ARRINGTON STEELE (32.5.1) is the son of George Washington Steele and Nancy Karol (Arrington) Steele.  John was born on November 17, 1846 in Newton County, Arkansas.  In 1883, John Steele married Harriet Ann Burke.  Harriet was born on January 5, 1856 in Madison County, Arkansas and is the daughter of William Joseph Lafayette Burke and Sarah Alice (Felkins) Burke.  Harriet Ann Burke’s brother, Samuel Burke, married John Arrington Steele’s sister, Mary A. Steele (32.5.4).  Harriet Ann Burke’s brother, John Allen Burke, married John Arrington Steele’s sister, Sarah J. Steele (32.5.6).  John and Harriet Steele were the parents of at least eight children:

Steele died on May 3, 1925 in Madison County, Arkansas and Harriet (Burke) Steele died on March 2, 1928.  Both were buried in the Lower Wharton Creek Cemetery in Madison County, Arkansas.  Henry Steele married Ella Dorsey and they had at least one son:  -  Maurice L. Steele, b. 1915, Arkansas.  In 1920, Henry Steele and his son, Maurice Steele, were living with Henrys father, John A. Steele, in Madison County, Arkansas.  Henry Steele died on July 7, 1965 and was buried in the Lower Wharton Creek Cemetery in Madison County, Arkansas.  On April 24, 1915, Joseph Steele married Jennie Jewel Bolinger (born 1902 in Arkansas) and they had at least two daughters:  -  Lois Steele, b. 1916, Arkansas,  -  Lillian Steele, b. 1918, Arkansas.  In 1920, Joseph and Jennie Steele were living Madison County, Arkansas.  Joseph Steele died on September 25, 1964 in Huntsville, Arkansas and was buried in the Lower Wharton Creek Cemetery in Madison County, Arkansas.

On December 19, 1915, Sarah Steele married Howard Ervin Garton in Madison County, Arkansas.  Howard and Sarah later lived in Kingston, Arkansas.  Sarah (Steele) Garton died on October 28, 1989 in Huntsville, Arkansas and was buried in the Lower Wharton Creek Cemetery in Madison County, Arkansas.  John T. Steele married Grace Faddis.  John Steele died on June 30, 1972 in Bakersfield, California and was buried in California.  George W. Steele died as an infant on November 28, 1895 and was buried in Madison County, Arkansas.  On June 5, 1924, Samuel Steele married Pearl Bolinger.  Pearl was the daughter of Austin Denton Bolinger and Caldonia (Dotson) Bolinger.  Samuel and Pearl Steele had five children:  -  Dwight Steele,  -  Duane Steele,  -  Helen Steele,  -  Arthur Steele,  -  Leon Steele.  Samuel Steele died on March 9, 1989 in Huntsville, Arkansas and was buried in the Lower Wharton Creek Cemetery in Madison County, Arkansas.

STELLA ANN STEELE (32.5.2.1) is the daughter of Joel Randolph Steele and Martha Lucinda (Tucker) Steele.  Stella was born on December 24, 1889 in Arkansas.  On February 13, 1911, Stella Steele married Robert Julius Weidner in Oklahoma.  Robert was born in 1879 in Bremen, Germany.  Robert and Stella Weidner were the parents of two children:

(Little) Hall.  Johnnie and Stella Hall were the parents of eight children:

Steele’s brother, John Arrington Steele (32.5.1).  Samuel Burke’s brother, John Allen Burke, married Mary A. Steele’s sister, Sarah J. Steele (32.5.4).  Samuel and Mary Burke were the parents of at least four children:

(Steele) Burke.  Joel was born on June 14, 1883 in Madison County, Arkansas.  On January 20, 1912, Joel Burke married Mary Jane McAfee in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  Mary was born on March 17, 1891 in Mesa County, Colorado and is the daughter of William Jasper Jep McAfee and Mary Tennessee (Morris) McAfee.  Joel and Mary Burke were the parents of five children:

On August 11, 1929, Dorotha Burke married William Henry Benjamin Rachels in England, Arkansas.  William and Dorotha Rachels have at least one daughter:  -  Bobbie Jean Rachels.  Bobbie Jean Rachels married a Mr. Zylstra.  As of 1989, Bobbie Jean (Rachels) Zylstra was living in Everson, Washington.  Everett Burke died on September 29, 1986 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and was buried there in the Cadillac Memorial Cemetery.  On January 16, 1936, Charlie Burke married Minnie May Allen in McClung, Arkansas.  On August 1, 1937, Ethel Burke married Raymond Sidney Jackson Shorty Alverson in England, Arkansas.  Ethel (Burke) Alverson died on October 12, 1987 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and was buried there in the Cadillac Memorial Cemetery.

Steele died on December 23, 1986 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  In 1958, Dorris Steele married Homer Huckaby in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Dorris was a registered nurse.  Dorris (Steele) Huckaby died on September 21, 1972 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was buried in the National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.  Webster Steele married Mabel Brown.  Webster Steele died on June 13, 1979 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was buried in Oklahoma.  Bonnie was in the Women Marines from 1943 to 1946.  Bonnie is a registered nurse and has never married.  In 1942, Mary Steele married Ramon Ragsdale in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Mary was a registered nurse.  Mary (Steele) Ragsdale died on January 8, 1985 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was buried in Oklahoma.
