ELDRIDGE FRANK SHELTON (1.5.5.8) is the son of William Pace Shelton and Margaret Ann (Wright) Shelton.  Frank was born on January 26, 1882 in Jackson County, Alabama.  Frank Shelton married Mettie Ophelia Young.  Mettie was born on February 16, 1885 in Alabama and is the daughter of William Allen Young and Annie (Bowman) Young.  Frank and Mettie Shelton were the parents of ten children:

From 1900 to 1910, Eldridge and Mettie Shelton were living in Jackson County, Alabama.  Frank Shelton died on January 20, 1959 and Mettie (Young) Shelton died on March 9, 1960.  Both were buried in the Blue Spring (Hall) Cemetery near Larkinsville, Alabama.  Edith Shelton died at birth.  Verma Shelton married William Harvey Lockard.  William was born on October 7, 1893 and is the son of Orman F. Joe Shelton married Mattie Morring, daughter of Bub Morring.  Joe and Mattie Shelton had one daughter:  -  Geneva Shelton, b. December 6, 1930.  Mattie (Morring) Shelton died shortly after the birth of her daughter.  Joe Shelton married a second time to Thelma Thrash, daughter of Eugene Thrash of Chilton County, Alabama.  Joe and Thelma had no children.  In 1959, Joe Shelton was living in Anniston, Alabama.  Joe Shelton died on January 29, 1983 in Clanton, Alabama.  Geneva Shelton married Winston H. Gentry and they had six children.  Geneva lives in Calera, Alabama.  Clifton Shelton and his wife, Elsia, were the parents of at least one son and one daughter.  Clifton Shelton died on March 8, 1965 in Scottsboro, Alabama.

In 1935, Ruby Shelton married Edward Baker in Huntsville, Alabama.  Edwards brother, Lee Baker, married Rubys first cousin, Mable Frazier (1.5.5.5.1).  Edward was a housepainter in Rossville, Georgia.  Edward and Ruby Baker were the parents of at least two children:  -  Mary Kay Baker,  -  Jimmie Dan Baker.  In 1959, Ruby (Shelton) Baker was living in Rossville, Georgia.  Ruby later married Horace Jones.  Catherine Shelton married a second time to a Mr. Stoffels.  In 1959, Catherine (Shelton) Stoffels was living in Jacksonville, Florida.  Catherine married a third time to Frank Holland and they lived in Jacksonville, Florida.

CORDELIA GERTRUDE SHELTON (1.5.5.8.1) is the daughter of Eldridge Frank Shelton and Mettie Ophelia (Young) Shelton.  Cordelia was born on February 28, 1901 near Larkinsville, Alabama.  On April 18, 1923, Cordelia Shelton married William Howard Broughton in Huntsville, Alabama.  Howard was born on August 5, 1901 in Lewisburg, Tennessee and is the son of William Dudley Broughton and Lillie Mae (Baxter) Broughton.  Howard and Cordelia Broughton were the parents of three children:

  James Allen Broughton, b. January 21, 1926, Albertville, Alabama
  Margaret Helen Broughton, b. February 17, 1930, Huntsville, Alabama

Howard and Cordelia Broughton lived in Huntsville, Alabama.  Howard Broughton died on May 8, 1932 in Gadsden, Alabama and was buried in the Mount Garner Cemetery in Dercherd, Tennessee.  Cordelia married a second time to James William Bragg.  In 1959, Cordie (Shelton) Bragg was living in Gadsden, Alabama.  Cordelia (Shelton) Bragg died on October 25, 1986 in Huntsville, Alabama and was buried there in the Maple Hill Cemetery.  James Broughton married a woman whose first name was Nell and lives in Louisville, Kentucky.  Margaret Broughton married Eddie Boggs.  Margaret married a second time to John Walker and they live in Fremont, California.

LILLIAN EUNICE BROUGHTON (1.5.5.8.1.1) is the daughter of William Howard Broughton and Cordelia Gertrude (Shelton) Broughton.  Lillian was born on June 24, 1924 in Gadsden, Alabama.  On September 13, 1942, Lillian Broughton married Alvin George Haines in Huntsville, Alabama.  Alvin and Lillian Haines were the parents of three children:

On May 19, 1951, Lillian married a second time to Wilbert Freeman Mires in Chicago, Illinois.  Wilbert was born on April 22, 1930 in Two Buttes, Colorado and is the son of Isaac Artie Mires and Nilla (Indermill) Mires.  Wilbert and Lillian Mires have four children:

As of 1986, Wilbert and Lillian Mires were living in Merced, California.  On September 8, 1961, Linda Haines married Larry E. Francom in Merced, California.  Larry was born on November 14, 1941.  Larry and Linda have three children:  -  James Andrew Francom, b. July 23, 1968 in Germany,  -  Steven Edward Francom, b. April 29, 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico,  -  Lori Michelle Francom, b. August 28, 1977 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  James Francom is French was adopted in Germany.  Steven Francom is full blood Navajo Indian and was adopted.  Lori Francom is Caucasion and was adopted in Hawaii.

On July 27, 1968, Norman Haines married Hazel Everett in El Centro, California.  Hazel was born on February 21, 1946.  Norman and Hazel Haines have two children:  -  Kristina Michelle Haines, b. September 13, 1972, Germany,  -  Alisa Rene Haines, b. August 28, 1985, Federal Way, Washington.  On August 6, 1983, Lawrence Mires married April Renee Long.  William Mires died twenty-six minutes after birth on May 30, 1958 in Merced, California.

Kathy Mires was adopted at the age of thirteen months through the Holt Adoption Agency in Creswell, Oregon.  On August 24, 1984, Kathy Mires married Larry Scott Owen in Merced, California.  Larry was born on June 15, 1959.  Kim Mires was was adopted at the age of ten months through the Holt Adoption Agency in Creswell, Oregon.  Kim was naturalized on the day of President Kennedys assasination.  On June 18, 1983, Kim Mires married Fred Wright Kissick in Merced, California.  Fred was born on May 28, 1957 in Houston, Texas.  Fred and Kim Kissick have one son:  -  Christopher Mires Kissick, b. July 18, 1984 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

HENRY ROY SHELTON (1.5.5.8.2) is the son of Eldridge Frank Shelton and Mettie Ophelia (Young) Shelton.  Roy was born on December 7, 1902 in Jackson County, Alabama.  Roy Shelton married Elsie Marsh of Huntsville, Alabama and they had two children:

Roy Shelton lived in Huntsville, Alabama.  Roy served his country in World War I.  Roy Shelton died on July 11, 1932 in Oteen, North Carolina and was buried in the Blue Spring (Hall) Cemetery in Larkinsville, Alabama.  Willard Jack Shelton had three children:  -  Patricia Ann Shelton who married a Mr. Carpenter,  -  Brenda Faye Shelton who married a Mr. Marsilles,  -  Kenneth Shelton.  Jack Shelton’s second wife was named Barbra.  Willard Jack Shelton was a charter member of the Solar Lodge 914 and a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies in Huntsville, Alabama.  Willard Jack Shelton died on November 1, 1984 and was buried in the Valhalla Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.  As of 1984, Patricia (Shelton) Carpenter was living in Huntsville, Alabama.  As of 1984, Brenda (Shelton) Marsilles was living in Jacksonville, Florida.  Kenneth Shelton lives in Jacksonville, Florida.  As of 1984, Ray Herman Shelton lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

CORA ANN SHELTON (1.5.5.8.3) is the daughter of Eldridge Frank Shelton and Mettie Ophelia (Young) Shelton.  Cora was born on March 15, 1905 in Jackson County, Alabama.  On September 24, 1922, Cora Shelton married Hobert Lee Lewis in Aspel, Alabama.  Hobert is the son of Arthur G. Lewis and Jessie (Gayle) Lewis.  Hobert and Cora Lewis were the parents of four children:

  Brooks Waymon Lewis, b. July 19, 1923, Aspel, Alabama
  Milton Kenneth Lewis, b. March 25, 1926, Gurley, Alabama
  Hobert Lee Sonny Lewis, b. December 15, 1934, Chase, Alabama
  James Wallace Lewis, b. January 20, 1941, Brownsboro, Alabama

In 1959, Cora (Shelton) Lewis was living in Maysville, Alabama.  Hobert Lewis, Sr. died on April 7, 1966 in Brownsboro, Alabama and was buried at the Union Cemetery near Woodville, Alabama.  Cora Ann (Shelton) Lewis died on April 17, 1966 and was also buried at the Union Cemetery.  Brooks Lewis was in the United States Army during World War II in Germany.  Brooks Lewis married Doris Miller.  Doris was born on September 6, 1929 in Madison County, Alabama and is the daughter of John M. Miller and Bessie Pearl (Taylor) Miller.  Brooks and Doris Lewis have one son:  -  Bruce Waymon Lewis, b. May 1, 1952 in Madison County, Alabama.  Bruce Lewis is not married and lives in Huntsville, Alabama.

HOMER FRANK SHELTON (1.5.5.8.7) is the son of Eldridge Frank Shelton and Mettie Ophelia (Young) Shelton.  Frank was born on September 17, 1912 in Jackson County, Alabama.  On November 8, 1933, Homer Shelton married Lucille Hilliard.  Lucille was born on September 20, 1914 in Madison County, Alabama and is the daughter of James Monroe Hilliard and Sara Elizabeth (Bafford) Hilliard of Monrovia, Alabama.  Frank and Lucille Shelton were the parents of at least three children:

  Kenneth Wayne Shelton, b. November 7, 1934, Madison County, Alabama
  Eugene Prince Shelton, b. February 14, 1936, Madison County, Alabama
  Thelma Lorene Shelton, b. March 26, 1938, Madison County, Alabama

Homer Shelton was a furniture dealer in Decatur, Alabama.  Homer and his son, Eugene, own and operate the Shelton Funeral Home in Decatur, Alabama.  On September 8, 1955, Kenneth Shelton married Mary Jo Lawrence, daughter of Buford Lawrence and Floy Lawrence of Decatur, Alabama.  Kenneth and Mary Shelton have three children:  -  Kenneth Wayne Shelton, Jr., b. October 18, 1959 in Morgan County, Alabama,  -  Gregory Lyn Shelton, b. April 4, 1962 in Decatur, Alabama,  -  Phillip Frank Shelton, b. February 17, 1968 in Decatur, Alabama.  Kenneth Shelton is an attorney in Decatur, Alabama.

On December 25, 1956, Eugene Shelton married Martha McClendon, daughter of Harvey McClendon and Lucy McClendon of Decatur, Alabama.  Eugene and Martha Shelton have three children (all born in Decatur, Alabama):  -  Susan Lucille Shelton, b. October 11, 1959,  -  Sherri Lorene Shelton, b. April 19, 1961,  -  Samuel Eugene Shelton, b. January 16, 1985 in Clarksville, Tennessee.  Sherri Shelton married Steven Glenn of Moulton, Alabama.  Steven and Sherri Glenn have one son:  -  Stephen Shelton Glenn, b. On July 18, 1957, Thelma Shelton married George Fariah of Moulton, Alabama and they had no children.  George and Thelma Fariah were later divorced.  On June 13, 1965, Thelma married a second time to Marvin Al Goldfarb in Birmingham, Alabama.  Marvin is from Memphis, Tennessee.  Marvin and Thelma Goldfarb have two children (both born in Saint Louis, Missouri):  -  David Al Goldfarb, b. Lusk.  Ben was born on February 14, 1884 in Alabama and is the son of Francis Marion Lusk (born 1849, Alabama) and Mary Elizabeth (Bell) Lusk.  Ben’s sister, Zenia Lusk, married Daisy’s brother, Delbert Shelton (1.5.5.11).  Ben’s sister, Florence Lusk, married Daisy’s first cousin, Luther B. Shelton (1.5.13.1).  Ben and Daisy Lusk were the parents of six children:

August 19, 1976.  On February 18, 1978, Robert Ireland Campbell married Dana Sue Perry, daughter of Earl Perry and Martha Belle Perry.  Robert and Dana Campbell have two children:  -  Nathan Ireland Campbell, b. October 4, 1979,  -  Scott Coleman Campbell, b. November 13, 1980.

CHARLES SHELTON (1.5.5.10) is the son of William Pace Shelton and Margaret Ann (Wright) Shelton.  Charles was born on December 31, 1886 in Alabama.  Charles Shelton married Eunice Reed.  Charles and Eunice Shelton were the parents of two children:

  Bradford Shelton, b. Jackson County, Alabama
  Elizabeth Shelton

In 1924, Charles Shelton was a clerk at the stamp and registry window at the Huntsville, Alabama post office.  Eunice (Reed) Shelton died in 1966 and was buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.  On June 24, 1957, Charles Shelton married a second time to Irene Rene Holmes in Madison County, Alabama.  Charles and Rene Shelton had no children.  Charles Shelton died around 1963/4 and was buried beside his wife, Eunice, in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.  Bradford Shelton married Reba Neely and later married a second time to Opal Anderson.  Bradford had no children by either marriage.  Bradford and Opal Shelton moved to Washington, District of Columbia.  Bradford Shelton was killed in a car accident in Washington, District of Columbia and was buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.  Elizabeth Shelton married Edd Reeves in Indianapolis, Indiana.  They now live in West Hills, California.  Edd and Elizabeth Reeves have two adopted children:  -  Doug Reeves,  -  Susan Reeves.

DELBERT SHELTON (1.5.5.11) is the son of William Pace Shelton and Margaret Ann (Wright) Shelton.  Delbert was born on April 15, 1889 in Alabama.  On August 18, 1907, Delbert Shelton married Zenia Rachel Lusk in Larkinsville, Alabama.  Rachel was born in 1889 in Alabama and is the daughter of Francis Marion Lusk and Mary Elizabeth (Bell) Lusk.  Zenia’s brother, Ben Lusk, married Delbert’s sister, Daisy Shelton (1.5.5.9).  Zenia’s sister, Florence Lusk, married Delbert’s first cousin, Luther B. Shelton (1.5.13.1).  Zenia’s sister, Frances Mae Lusk, married Robert Alexander Hall (15.5.1.7).  Delbert and Rachel Shelton were the parents of three children:

  Eva L. Shelton (1.5.5.11.1), b. April 29, 1909, Alabama
  Ada Shelton, b. July 5, 1913, Alabama
  Barbara Christine Shelton (1.5.5.11.3), b. August 31, 1930

In 1920, Delbert and “Zenie” Shelton were living in Jackson County, Alabama.  Delbert Shelton died on August 14, 1942 and Zennie (Lusk) Shelton died in 1972.  Both were buried in the Blue Spring (Hall) Cemetery in Jackson County, Alabama.  On December 29, 1929, Eva Shelton married Woodrow Selby (1.5.2.2.2.4).  On May 15, 1937, Ada Shelton married Charles W. Bill Wann (born December 26, 1910) and they have two children:  -  Nina Wann,  -  Charles B.
