SOLOMON FRANKLIN OLLIFF (1.4.6.2) is the son of Franklin Olliff and Mary (Brannen) Olliff.  Sollie was born on April 22, 1857 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  In 1880, Solomon Olliff was living with Jasper Sims in Brooks County, Georgia.  On February 16, 1881, Solomon Olliff married Josephine M. Preetorius in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Josie was born on July 25, 1863 in Georgia and is the daughter of Charles Preetorius and Christiana (Little) Preetorius.  Sollie and Josie Olliff were the parents of seven children:

In 1900, Solomon and Josephine Olliff were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  In 1910, Solomon and his second wife, Jane Olliff, were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Solomon F. Olliff died on September 29, 1919 and was buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  In 1920, Josie (Preetorious) Olliff was living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Josephine (Preetorious) Olliff died on June 5, 1925 and was buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  On January 9, 1907, Eva Olliff married Thomas A. Jones (born August 12, 1875).  Thomas and Eva Jones had at least one son:  -  Sollie Olliff Jones, b. January 29, 1908 and d. September 14, 1908.  Thomas was a naval store operator in Whigham, Georgia.  Eva (Olliff) Jones died on February 14, 1908 and Thomas A. Jones died on August 31, 1951.  Both were buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  Maude Olliff died as a child of typhoid fever on October 10, 1902 and was buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  Frank Olliff died as an infant on August 11, 1891 and was buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.

MAYBELLE OLLIFF (1.4.6.2.1) is the daughter of Solomon Franklin Olliff and Josephine M. (Preetorious) Olliff.  Maybelle was born on May 24, 1882 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On September 15, 1901, Maybelle Olliff married James Leonidas Mathews.  James was born on November 20, 1871 in South Carolina and is the son of Budd Mathews and Frances Elizabeth (Mathis) Mathews.  James and Maybelle Mathews were the parents of six children:

Mathews died on September 8, 1959 and Maybelle (Olliff) Mathews died on April 20, 1968.  Both were buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  Sollie Mathews died as an infant resulting from a “brain infection” in 1904 and was buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  Elouise Mathews died as a child on September 10, 1908 and was buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.

On December 1, 1929, Josie Mathews married Henry Smets Blitch, son of J. D. Blitch.  In 1938, Josie (Mathews) Blitch was living in Savannah, Georgia.  Josie (Mathews) Blitch is a member (Number 298593) of the Daughters of the American Revolution on the service record of John Shears Olliff (1).  Henry and Josie Blitch had two sons:  -  James Mathews Blitch, b. 1933,  -  Henry Smetts Blitch, Jr.  James Blitch married Patricia Brannen and they have two children:  -  Susan Elizabeth Blitch,  -  Jo Helen Blitch.  Mary Mathews married Fred Blitch, brother of Henry Blitch.  Fred and Mary Blitch had three children:  -  India Blitch,  -  Fred Blitch, Jr.,  -  Bell Blitch.  On February 16, 1938, Frances Mathews married Talmedge Ramsey, son of B. VIVIAN MATHEWS (1.4.6.2.1.5) is the daughter of James Leonidas Mathews and Maybelle (Olliff) Mathews.  Vivian was born on May 6, 1912 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On February 27, 1935, Vivian Mathews married Walter Harmon Aldred, Jr. in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Walter was born on April 21, 1906 in Bulloch County, Georgia and is the son of Walter Harmon Aldred and Deborah Itasca (Parrish) Aldred.  Walter and Vivian Aldred are the parents of three children:

CHARLES PREETORIUS OLLIFF (1.4.6.2.3) is the son of Solomon Franklin Olliff and Josephine M. (Preetorious) Olliff.  Charley was born on January 25, 1887 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On June 6, 1911, Charley Olliff married Myrtle Regina Smith.  Myrtle was born on October 3, 1888 in Georgia and is the daughter of E. L. Smith.  Charley and Myrtle Olliff were the parents of four children:

CHARLES PREETORIUS OLLIFF, JR. (1.4.6.2.3.2) is the son of Charles Preetorius Olliff and Myrtle Regina (Smith) Olliff.  Charles was born on September 30, 1917 in Georgia.  On November 19, 1943, Charles Olliff, Jr. married Priscilla Prather Sharpe and they are the parents of three children:

JOHN G. KENNEDY, JR. (1.4.6.2.7.1) is the son of John Groover Kennedy and Annie (Olliff) Kennedy.  John was born in 1926.  John Kennedy, Jr. married Connie Austin and they are the parents of three children:

John Kennedy, Jr. graduated from Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia Law School.  John was a Navy veteran and a member of the Naval Reserve until 1970.  He practiced law with the firm of John G. Kennedy and John W. Sognier until January of 1980.  John served as the head of the education committee of the Savannah Chamber of Commerce and was instrumental in forming the Citizens Committee for Education which was sucessful in raising substantial additional funds for the local public school system in the 1950s.  He was the president and managing partner of Kennedy and Lewis, P. C.  He was also president of National Building Company.  John Kennedy, Jr. died on June 18, 1992 in Savannah, Georgia and was buried in the Bonaventure Cemetery.  Connie Kennedy married a Mr. Darbyshire.  As of June of 1992, Connie (Austin) Kennedy was living in Savannah, Georgia, John G. Kennedy, III was living in New York, Austin Kennedy was living in Charlotte, North Carolina and Connie (Kennedy) Darbyshire was living in Savannah, Georgia.

Brannen and Samantha (Riggs) Brannen.  James and Julia Brannen were the parents of eight children:

Shurling.  Susan (Brannen) Shurling died in 1922.  Henry G. Shurling was killed by lightning on July 20, 1932 and was buried in Lane’s Church Cemetery.  Alma Brannen married Martin Howard.  Annie Brannen married Hoyt Tyson.  Annie (Brannen) Tyson died on August 30, 1922.  On July 9, 1922, Julia Brannen married Willie Samples Waters, son of Keil Waters.  Willie and Julia Waters have six children:  -  Ben Waters,  -  Kermit Waters,  -  Hazel Waters,  -  Dent Waters,  -  Julian Waters,  -  Quincey Waters.  Hazel Waters married Sidney Sikes.

WILLIAM DUDLEY “DUD” BRANNEN (1.4.6.3.8) is the son of James Iverson Brannen and Julia R. (Olliff) Brannen.  Dudley was born in March of 1900 in Georgia.  In 1917, Dud Brannen married Rea Jones.  Rea was born on September 15, 1900 in Georgia and is the daughter of Harley Thomas Jones (born 1862) and Cassie (Riggs) Jones.  Dud and Rea Brannen were the parents of three children:
