SARAH ADALINE OLLIFF (1.4.2.2) is the daughter of Matthew Olliff and Elizabeth (Brannen) Olliff.  Sarah was born on August 28, 1847 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On February 17, 1870, Sarah Adaline Olliff married Ansel Alderman in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Ansel was born on February 22, 1845 in Georgia and is the son of Thomas Alderman and Polly Ann (Parrish) Alderman.  Ansel and Sarah Alderman were the parents of ten children:

Ansel Alderman was a member of Company E, Fifth Georgia Regiment in the Confederate Army during the Civil War and was with Johnson’s Army at the surrender near Durham, North Carolina on April 26, 1865.  From 1880 to 1900, Ansel and Sarah Alderman were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Ansel Alderman died on April 7, 1907 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  From 1910 to 1920, Sarah (Olliff) Alderman was still living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Sarah (Olliff) Alderman died on August 2, 1927.  On November 8, 1893, Estella Alderman married John Triplette Flynt (born October of 1872 in Georgia) in Bulloch County, Georgia.  In 1900, John and Estella Flynt were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  John and Estella Flynt had at least one daughter:  -  Velona G. Flynt, b. December, 1899, Georgia.  Estella (Alderman) Flynt died on February 28, 1940.

On December 13, 1903, Julia Alderman married Charles U. Brannen and they had at least one son:  -  Charlie Brannen, b. 1906, Georgia.  In 1910, Julia (Alderman) Brannen was living with her mother, Sarah (Olliff) Alderman, in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Ula Mae Alderman died as an infant on October 24, 1878.  On February 8, 1900, Donie Alderman married Erastus R. Collins.  Donie (Alderman) Collins died on March 10, 1915.  On June 29, 1904, Mittie Alderman married James H. Brannen (born 1883 in Georgia).  Mittie (Alderman) Brannen died on September 6, 1904.  In 1910, James Brannen was living with his mother, Louisa Brannen, in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Thomas Alderman never married and died on December 11, 1919.  On February 21, 1909, Mollie Alderman married Ashton C. Cassedy (born 1890 in Georgia).  In 1910, Ashton and Mollie Cassedy were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Ashton and Mollie Cassedy had at least three children:  -  Rustin Cassedy, b. 1910,  -  Ben Cassedy,  -  Daughter who married George Trainthwein.  Rustin Cassedy had four sons:  -  Ashton C. Cassedy,  -  Joe Ben Cassedy,  -  James Cassedy,  -  Coley Boyd Cassedy.  Rustin Cassedy died on December 26, 1938 and was buried in the Brannen Cemetery.

MARGARET N. ALDERMAN (1.4.2.2.1) is the daughter of Ansel Alderman and Sarah Adaline (Olliff) Alderman.  Maggie was born on February 24, 1871 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On December 18, 1887, Margaret Alderman married Benjamin J. Brannen (born October 16, 1868 in Georgia).  Benjamin and Margaret Brannen were the parents of three children:

   Infant Son, b. and d. December 19, 1895, Georgia

From 1900 to 1910, Ben and Maggie Brannen were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Benjamin J. Brannen died on December 10, 1928 and Margaret (Alderman) Brannen died on June 26, 1941.

ALDERMAN “AWLEY” BRANNEN (1.4.2.2.1.1) is the son of Benjamin J. Brannen and Margaret N. (Alderman) Brannen.  Awley was born on November 16, 1892 in Georgia.  On May 7, 1914, Awley Brannen married Josie Olliff Hagins.  Josie was born on October 7, 1892 in Georgia and is the daughter of Allen Joseph Hagins and Lavinia (Riggins) Hagins.  Awley and Josie Brannen were the parents of three children:

   Frances Bedelia Brannen, b. April 8, 1915, Georgia
   Maurice Brannen, b. September 5, 1916, Georgia
   Allen Joseph Brannen, b. June 22, 1919, Georgia

In 1930, Awley and Josie Brannen were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Josie (Hagins) Brannen died on June 24, 1933 and Alderman Brannen died on February 13, 1958.  Both were buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  On October 1, 1932, Frances Brannen married James Welton Waters (born February 6, 1911).  James and Frances Waters had three children:  -  Thomas Paul Waters, b. October 22, 1935,  -  Jamie Sue Waters, b. November 6, 1950,  -  Lena Lou Waters, b. July 25, 1952.  James W. Waters died on August 18, 1974.  On April 26, 1956, Thomas Waters married Rose Lanier and they have four children:  -  Stephen Paul Waters, b. August 8, 1959,  -  Tracy Waters, b. Mallard.  Queen was born on June 27, 1882 in Georgia and is the daughter of Solomon Mallard.  William and Queen Alderman were the parents of five children:

KITTIE LAVINIA OLLIFF (1.4.2.4.1) is the daughter of Harrison Olliff and Clifford Ann Wayne (Womack) Olliff.  Kittie was born on February 12, 1880 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On December 29, 1901, Kittie Olliff married Elliott Walter Parrish in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Elliott was born on December 4, 1877 in Bulloch County, Georgia and is the son of Benjamin Ellis Parrish and Mary Jane (Trapnell) Parrish.  Family tradition is that Elliott changed the spelling of the name from Parrish to Parish while at Annapolis, due to having found a record of a famous person with the latter spelling.  Elliott and Kittie Parish were the parents of three children:

Kittie (Olliff) Parish died on June 16, 1951 and Elliott Parish, Sr. died on October 13, 1963 in Savannah, Georgia.  Both were buried in the Greenwich Section of the Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia.

On September 16, 1933, Elliott Parish, Jr. married Julia Searcy Lamar in Coronado, California.  Julia was born on June 12, 1910 in Macon, Georgia and is the daughter of Henry J. Lamar, III and Lena (Pitner) Lamar.  Elliott and Julia Parish have four children:  -  Ann Lamar Parish, b. September 2, 1935,  -  Gail Searcy Parish, b. April 25, 1938,  -  Sally Blount Parish, b. July 27, 1942,  -  Judy Lamar Parish, b. December 20, 1947, Coronado, California.  On June 21, 1959, Ann Parish married Nelson Pointer Jackson at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida.  Nelson was born on December 9, 1930 in Caswell County, North Carolina and is the son of John Nelson Jackson and Meadie Pointer (Frederick) Jackson.  On March 1, 1958, Gail Parish married Richard Kenna Gaines, Jr. at Saint Andrews Chapel on the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.  Richard was born on September 26, 1932 in San Diego, California and is the son of Captain Richard Kenna Gaines and Maud (Werner) Gaines.  Richard and Gail Gaines have four children:  -  Mark Whitney Gaines, b. January 26, 1931, Savannah, Georgia,  -  Joan Parish Cope (twin), b. January 26, 1931, Savannah, Georgia,  -  John Lovell Cope, III, b. December 11, 1936, d. HERMAN OLLIFF PARISH (1.4.2.4.1.1) is the son of Elliott Walter Parrish and Kittie Lavinia (Olliff) Parrish.  Herman was born on January 19, 1904 in Savannah, Georgia.  On December 29, 1927, Herman Parish married Elizabeth Allen Cantrell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Elizabeth was born on April 29, 1905 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is the daughter of Charles William Cantrell and Florence Weldon (Coyle) Cantrell.  Herman and Elizabeth have three children:

   Barbara Allen Parish, b. April 12, 1929, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
   Walter Cantrell Parish, b. February 14, 1931, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
   Charles Carroll Parish, b. February 7, 1943

On June 23, 1951, Barbara Parish married Edward John Ondrasik at the Navy Chapel in Quantanamo Bay, Cuba.  Edward was born on May 9, 1920 in Outtenburg, New Jersey and is the son of Joseph John Ondrasik and Anna (Yankovia) Ondrasik.  Edward and Barbara Ondrasik have three children:  -  Allison Parish Ondrasik, b. August 17, 1953, Havre de Grace, Maryland,  -  Michael Elliott Ondrasik, b. September 28, 1955, Havre de Grace, Maryland,  -  Barbara Allen Ondrasik, b. July 16, 1957, Havre de Grace, Maryland.  On March 12, 1954, Walter Parish married Louise Eleanor Hood in Norfolk, Virginia.  Louise was born on September 5, 1934 in Fort Park, Long Island, New York and is the daughter of Herbert Whitney Hood and Phyllis (Harbaugh) Hood.  Walter and Louise Parish have three children:  -  Catherine Louise Parish, b. November 12, 1954, Portsmouth, Virginia,  -  Elizabeth Allen Parish, b. May 14, 1958, Norfolk, Virginia,  -  Mary Margaret Parish, b. November 14, 1961, Norfolk, Virginia.  Charles Parish never married and died during the service of his country.

JESSIE OLLIFF (1.4.2.4.3) is the daughter of Harrison Olliff and Clifford Ann Wayne (Womack) Olliff.  Jessie was born in February of 1898 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On August 6, 1919, Jessie Olliff married J. Barney Averitt (born 1897 in Georgia).  From 1920 to 1930, Barney and Jessie Averitt were living in Bulloch County, Georgia with Jessie’s parents.  Barney and Jessie Averitt were the parents of at least one son:

   Jack Melton Averitt, b. March 8, 1922, Georgia

Jessie (Olliff) Averitt is a member (Number 391944) of the Daughters of the American Revolution on the service record of John Shears Olliff (1).
