On December 8, 1904, Nancy Jane Pace married Paul Brooks and they had seven children:  -  James William Brooks,  -  Raymond Brooks,  -  Plez Ollis Brooks,  -  Grant Watham Brooks,  -  Pauline Brooks,  -  Elbert Brooks,  -  Harley Brooks.  Nancy (Pace) Brooks died in 1967.  James William Brooks died in January of 1966.  Raymond Brooks died in 1919.  Plez Brooks died in 1966.  Pauline Brooks married Tom Wilson and they have three children.  Tom and Pauline Wilson live in Temple, Texas.  Elbert Brooks has one son.  Harley Brooks has one daughter.  Dora Pace married a Mr. Mayo and they have one daughter:  -  Elizabeth Mayo.  Elizabeth Mayo married a Mr. Thomas and they have one son:  -  Moody Thomas.  Rufus Pace and his wife, Eula, have one son:  -  Melvin Pace who has two daughters.

Fannie Elizabeth Pace married a Mr. Dragoo and they had seven children:  -  Gladys Dragoo,  -  Lillian Dragoo,  -  Barney Dragoo,  -  Jasper Dragoo,  -  Aubrey Dragoo,  -  Vera Dragoo,  -  Fannie Mae Dragoo.  Fannie (Pace) Dragoo died on March 10, 1940.  Gladys Dragoo first married a Mr. Lagrone and later married a Mr. Prior.  Gladys has two children.  Lillian Dragoo married a Mr. Spears and has no children.  Barney Dragoo has thirteen children.  Jasper Dragoo has three sons.  Aubrey Dragoo has two sons and four daughters.  Vera Dragoo never married.  Fannie Dragoo married a Mr. Zaleski and they have two children.

JOSEPH ABRAM PACE (15.4.1.1) is the son of William F. Pace and Henrietta (Chandler) Pace.  Joseph was born on August 15, 1867 in Alabama.  On November 12, 1893, Joseph Pace married Lovella Swaim.  Lovella was born on May 5, 1875 and is the daughter of Laban Swaim and Addalade (Pogue) Swaim.  Joseph and Lovella Pace were the parents of seven children:

In 1900, “Joe” and “Lou” Pace were living in Bell County, Texas.  Joseph Abram Pace died on March 22, 1937 and Lovella (Swaim) Pace died on December 23, 1965.  Etta Pace married W. H. Henry and they had at least two children:  -  J. W. Henry,  -  Esta Fae Henry.  Etta (Pace) Henry died in Dallas, Texas.  On January 6, 1913, Pearl Pace married J. N. Gabbert.  Pearl married a second time to Tom Roller and they have at least five children:  -  Dwayne Roller,  -  Thelma Roller,  -  Eddy Fern Roller,  -  Doris Roller,  -  Iona Roller.  On October 25, 1924, Effie Pace married Robert Elmer Cowgill and they had at least two children:  -  Robert E. Cowgill, Jr., b. February 18, 1928,  -  James E. “Jimmy” Cowgill, b. May 24, 1932.  Effie (Pace) Cowgill died on April 24, 1967.  On February 4, 1921, Gussie Pace married George G. ERNEST DOUGLAS PACE (15.4.1.1.5) is the son of Joseph Abram Pace and Lovella (Swaim) Pace.  Ernest was born on September 17, 1905 in Dallas, Texas.  On July 22, 1925, Ernest Pace married Quinnie Fae Willis.  Quinnie was born on June 13, 1904 in Cameron, Texas.  Ernest and Quinnie Pace had three children:

  Ernest Douglas Pace, Jr., b. February 4, 1927, Richland Hills, Texas
  Marjorie Fae Pace, b. April 17, 1929, Fort Worth, Texas
  Willis Joe Pace, b. March 17, 1932, Arvada, Colorado

Earnest Pace, Sr. was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over fifty years.  He was also a member of the Typographical Union and worked for both the Dallas Times Herald and the Dallas Journal.  Ernest retired from the Fort Worth Press in 1967.  Ernest Pace, Sr. died on February 22, 1986 and was buried in Shannon’s Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  On July 23, 1948, Ernest Pace, Jr. married Era Mae Manthey.  Mae was born on September 9, 1927.  Ernest and Mae Pace have three children:  -  David Earl Pace, b. December 6, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas,  -  Sandra Kay Pace, b. August 2, 1952,  -  Christie Gail Pace, b. January 3, 1954.  On September 24, 1977, David Earl Pace married Katherine Jan Schooley in Easthampton, Massachusetts.  Katherine was born on September 24, 1953 in Saint Louis, Missouri.  David and Katherine Pace have two children:  -  Mathew Thomas Schooley Pace, b. July 23, 1979 in Northhampton, Massachusetts,  -  Michael Sean Pace, b. November 24, 1986 in Springfield, Massachusetts.  Sandra Pace married Ramon B. Carter.  On November 22, 1980, Christie Pace married Robert J. Barnes (born September 27, 1935 in Parkerville, Georgia).

On November 18, 1948, Marjorie Pace married Thomas Wren Taggart and they have three children:  -  Shirley Taggart who married a Mr. White,  -  Deborah Taggart who married a Mr. Hicks,  -  Thomas Gary Taggart.  Willis Pace and his wife, Nora, were married in September of 1957 and they have one daughter: -   Linda Jo Pace.

JAMES JACKSON PACE (15.4.1.2) is the son of William F. Pace and Elender Elizabeth (Wortham) Pace.  James was born on October 24, 1871 in Jackson County, Alabama.  On January 21, 1894, James Pace married Nancy Jane Johnson at Kyle Springs, Alabama.  Nancy was born on March 3, 1878 in Tennessee and is the daughter of Thomas Johnson and Nancy Helen (Knowles) Johnson.  James and Nancy Pace were the parents of twelve children:

In 1910, James and Nancy Pace were living in Bell County, Texas.  Nancy (Johnson) Pace died on March 31, 1950 in Dallas, Texas and James Jackson Pace died on February 19, 1955 in Dallas, Texas.  Both were buried there in the Restland Cemetery.  James and Nancy Pace’s first child died on the same day that he was born, October 26, 1894.  George Pace was killed in World War I on October 3, 1918.  James and Nancy Pace’s third child died on the same day that he was born, October 15, 1897.  Benjamin Pace married Fannie Jo Neal.  Benjamin Pace died on January 22, 1967.  James Olen Pace first married Mabel Baird and later married a second time to a woman named Ruby.  James Olen Pace was the father of at least two children:  -  Dorothy Pace who married Darrell Baker,  -  Gerald Pace who lives in Portland, Oregon.

Ida May Pace married A. D. Neal and they have two children:  -  Mae Dee Neal who married Kenneth Green,  -  David Neal who lives in Dallas, Texas.  James and Nancy Pace’s seventh child died the same day that she was born, December 10, 1906.  Jesse Pace married Violet Fay Newman and they have two children:  -  Paul Max Pace,  -  Carol Ann Pace who lives in Dallas, Texas.  Jesse Pace died on November 30, 1966.  Thomas Walton Pace died the same day that he was born, March 3, 1910.  James and Nancy Pace’s tenth child died the same day that he was born, July 27, 1911.  R. G. Pace died as an infant on October 31, 1913.

OBED CLIFTON PACE (15.4.1.2.12) is the son of James Jackson Pace and Nancy Jane (Johnson) Pace.  Obed was born on July 29, 1915 in Bell County, Texas.  On September 19, 1936, Obed Pace married Elsie Rhilda Gatlin.  Elsie was born on March 12, 1917 in Whitney, Texas and is the daughter of Andrew Lee Gatlin and Mary Ellen (Grant) Gatlin.  Obed and Elsie Pace are the parents of two children:

  Albert S. Chandler, b. August 18, 1874, Alabama

CATHERINE PACE (15.5) is the daughter of William Pace and Elizabeth (Wininger) Pace.  Catherine was born on August 26, 1826 in Scott County, Virginia.  Catherine Pace married Manoah Hall.  Manoah was born in 1828 in Tennessee and is the son of Reverend Thomas Hall and Nancy Hall.  Manoah’s brother, Hosea Hall, married Catherine’s sister, Mary Pace (15.3).  In 1850, Manoah and Catherine Hall were living in Jackson County, Alabama.  Manoah and Catherine Hall were the parents of at least six children:

  M. Mahala Hall, b. 1845, Alabama

Hall died as a child on July 31, 1878 in Jackson County, Alabama and was buried in the Hall (Blue Spring) Cemetery in Jackson County, Alabama.  On January 5, 1916, Serrilda “Amanda” Hall married Albert Sidney Zimmerman (born 1869).  Albert and Amanda Zimmerman had one son:  -  Conrad Zimmerman, b. 1918.  Albert and Amanda Zimmerman lived in Bridgeport, Alabama and later lived in Birmingham, Alabama.  Albert was a medical doctor.  Albert Zimmerman died in 1953 in Jackson County, Alabama and Amanda (Hall) Zimmerman died in 1956 in Jackson County, Alabama.  Both were buried in the Hall (Blue Spring) Cemetery in Jackson County, Alabama.  As of 1968, Conrad Zimmerman was living in Alexandria, Virginia.  Conrad Zimmerman was married twice, having two daughters by his first marriage.

On July 15, 1900, Allen Hall married Sophia Georgia Duncan.  On January 1, 1938, Marion “Rufus” Hall married a Madge Porter.  Rufus Hall died in June of 1967 in Jackson County, Alabama.  On January 15, 1900, Annis Hall married Benjamin Thomas McCormack and they had four children:  -  Ruby Della McCormack, b. April 12, 1902,  -  Hugh Perry McCormack, b. September 30, 1904,  -  Alta McCormack,  -  Clara Bell McCormack.  Ruby Hall died of diptheria on March 1, 1908 in Jackson County, Alabama and was buried in the Hall (Blue Spring) Cemetery.  Hugh Hall died on March 6, 1908 in Jackson County, Alabama and was buried in the Hall (Blue Spring) Cemetery.  Mahalia Hall died on September 12, 1916 in Jackson County, Alabama and was buried in the Hall (Blue Spring) Cemetery in Jackson County, Alabama.

LAURA IDELLA HALL (15.5.1.5) is the daughter of Johnathan Benton Hall and Miley Ann (Latham) Hall.  Della was born on July 31, 1879 in Jackson County, Alabama.  On March 15, 1908, Laura “Della” Hall married John Boyd Cox.  John was born in 1884 and is the son of John M. Cox and Manervia (Hankins) Cox.  John and Della Cox had at least two children:

  Aubry Cox
  Mabel Gladys Cox

Della (Hall) Cox died in 1947 in Jackson County, Alabama and John B. Cox died in 1960 in Jackson County, Alabama.  Aubry Cox lives in Huntsville, Alabama.  Mabel Cox married Leo Lonis and they had at least one child:  -  Gladys Lillian Lonis.  Gladys Lonis married a Mr. Kizer and they have one daughter:  -  Lisa Kizer.

MANOAH ARTHUR HALL (15.5.1.10) is the son of Johnathan Benton Hall and Miley Ann (Latham) Hall.  Manoah was born on June 17, 1890 in Jackson County, Alabama.  On November 26, 1915, Manoah Hall married Dora Ann Shelton (1.5.11.9).  Dora was born on October 12, 1892 in Jackson County, Alabama and is the daughter of Noah Benton Shelton and Mary Eliza (Potter) Shelton.  Manoah and Dora Hall were the parents of four children:

  Lelia Hall, b. 1921, Jackson County, Alabama
  Eunice Hall, b. Jackson County, Alabama

In 1920, Manoah and Dora Hall were living in Jackson County, Alabama.  Manoah Hall died on November 26, 1964 in Jackson County, Alabama and Dora (Shelton) Hall died on September 23, 1974 in Jackson County, Alabama.  Both were buried in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro, Alabama.  Hazel Hall married Otis Clemmons and they had three children:  -  Ruth Clemmons,  -  Nedra Clemmons,  -  Sammy Clemmons.  Hazel lived in West Point, Mississippi and died of cancer on March 16, 1969.  Ruth Clemmons married Tracy Hammer and they had three children.

Lelia Hall married McAdoo “Mack” Rogers (born 1917) and they had two children:  -  Kenneth Rogers, b. 1944,  -  Judith “Judy” Ann Rogers, b. 1946.  Lelia (Hall) Rogers died in July, 1994.  Kenneth served in the United States Army and is a college graduate.  In 1966, Judy Rogers married Jerry Page.  Eunice Hall married Kem Wilkerson and they had three children:  -  Mack Wilkerson,  -  Billy Wilkerson,  -  Dennis Wilkerson.  On January 11, 1948, Mary Ruth Hall married Hugh Grover Latham in Rising Fawn, Georgia.  Hugh was born on December 7, 1917 and is the son of James William Benton “Bent” Latham and Sadie Belle (Gentle) Latham.  For additional information on the descendants of Hugh and Mary Latham, see the sketch of Hugh Grover Latham (15.12.1.3.3).

MADISON JACKSON HALL (15.5.3) is the son of Manoah Hall and Catherine (Pace) Hall.  Jackson was born on June 25, 1850 in Jackson County, Alabama.  In 1870, Jackson Hall was living with his brother, Johnathan, in Jackson County, Alabama.  Jackson Hall married Mahala Malinda Harper (20.1.8.5).  Mahala was born in 1856 in Alabama and is the daughter of Thomas Latham and Nancy Jane (Harper) Latham.  In 1880, Jackson and Mahala Hall were living in Jackson County, Alabama.  Jackson and Mahala Hall were the parents of eight children:

Jackson Hall died on January 28, 1894.  Lucy Hall married Phil Sterges (born Tuscaloosa, Alabama).  Lucy married a second time to Lee Gregory.  Lucy is the mother of at least one child:  -  George Dewell Hall.  Lucy (Hall) Gregory died on July 30, 1958.  Charles Hall married Della Pedigrew and they had three children:  -  Samuel Robinson Hall (killed in service),  -  Martha Mae Hall (married a Mr. Gillock),  -  Ada Marie Hall (lives with Martha Mae in Keene, Texas).  Charles was a schoolteacher in Marystown, Texas.  Solomon Hall married Mary Leach and they had no children.

Henry Hall and his wife, Myrtle Hall, had six children:  -  Jack Hall,  -  Esther Hall,  -  Viola Hall,  -  Raymond Hall,  -  Irene Ruth Hall (married a Mr. Williams),  -  Lloyd Hall.  Finus Hall married Leota Lee and they had two children:  -  Arville Hall, b. October 29, 1905,  -  Pauline Hall (married a Mr. Lee), b. October 2, 1908.  Finus Hall died on October 11, 1913 and was buried in Marystown, Texas.  Arville Hall died on September 11, 1982.  Pauline (Hall) Lee died on June 26, 1983.  Robert Hall died on May 16, 1936 and was buried in Marystown, Texas.  Mary Hall married Hudson Brooks (a gambler) and they had three children:  -  Archie H. Brooks (no children),  -  Marvin Brooks,  -  Aileen Brooks (married a Mr. Holiday).

ANDREW JACKSON HALL (15.5.3.4) is the son of Madison Jackson Hall and Mahala Malinda (Harper) Hall.  Andrew was born in May of 1880 in Jackson County, Alabama.  Andrew J. Hall married Carrie Agnes Ince (born December 21, 1880).  Andrew and Carrie Hall were the parents of six children:

  Charles Albert Hall
  Omer Lloyd Hall
  Lynn Richard Hall, b. September 3, 1917
  Eldon Jackson Hall, b. December 21, 1919

Andrew J. Hall died on September 5, 1944 and Carrie (Ince) Hall died on June 8, 1967.  Lynn R. Hall died in 1956.  Eldon J. Hall was killed in service on February 19, 1944.
