WILLIAM MARSHALL OLLIFF (1.4.2.7) is the son of Matthew Olliff and Annie (Jones) Olliff.  William was born on September 23, 1864 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On January 10, 1884, William Olliff married Josephine Tallullah Proctor in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Josephine was born in October of 1867 in Georgia and is the daughter of Sarah J. Proctor.  From 1900 to 1910, William and Josephine Olliff were living in Charlton County, Georgia.  In 1900, their nephew, Lawrence Mallard, was living with them.  In 1910, Josephine’s mother, Sarah Proctor, were living with William and Josephine Olliff.  William and Josephine Olliff had no children of their own, however, they adopted the son of William Abraham Proctor, III and Courtney (Westberry) Proctor shortly after the untimely death of Mrs. Proctor.  This child was raised by William and Josephine Olliff as their own son.  He was legally adopted and named:

  Alton Dubignon Olliff (1.4.2.7.1), b. June 17, 1902, Charlton County, Georgia

William Olliff died on May 25, 1917 in Folkston, Georgia and was buried there at the Pineview Cemetery.  On July 17, 1918, Josephine (Proctor) Olliff married William H. Bowen (born January 24, 1855 in Pierce County, Georgia).  William H. Bowen died on January 4, 1933 and was buried in the Blackshear Cemetery in Pierce County, Georgia.  Josephine (Proctor) Bowen died on June 10, 1958 at Fitzgerald, Georgia and was buried at the Pineview Cemetery in Folkston, Georgia.

ALTON DUBIGNON OLLIFF (1.4.2.7.1) is the adopted son of William Marshall Olliff and Josephine Tallullah (Proctor) Olliff.  Alton was born on June 17, 1902 in Charlton County, Georgia.  On June 25, 1922, Alton Olliff married Clennie Priscilla McCarthy at Hebardville, Georgia.  Clennie was born on July 5, 1901 in Waresboro, Georgia.  Alton and Clennie Olliff were the parents of two children:

  Mary Josephine Olliff, b. May 5, 1923, Waycross, Georgia
  William Marshall Olliff, II, b. August 1, 1924, Waycross, Georgia

Alton Olliff died in December of 1983.  On December 30, 1943, Mary Olliff married James Edwin Melvin in Atlanta, Georgia.  James was born on December 5, 1922 in Huntsville, Illinois.  James and Mary Melvin have two children:  -  James Edwin Melvin, Jr., b. August 8, 1945, Waycross, Georgia,  -  Randolph Dubignon Melvin, b. December 29, 1947, Waycross, Georgia.  On July 16, 1965, James Melvin, Jr. married Susan Marie Bagemore in Beaufort, South Carolina.  Susan was born on January 16, 1946 in Beaufort, South Carolina.  James and Susan Melvin have two children:  -  James Edwin Melvin, III, b. February 20, 1966, Beaufort, South Carolina,  -  Thomas Paul Melvin, b. June 22, 1968, Beaufort, South Carolina.  James Melvin, Jr. died in Viet Nam on December 13, 1969.  On March 6, 1971, Randolph Melvin married Marjorie Jean Owenby in Beaufort, South Carolina.  Marjorie was born on February 2, 1952 in Beaufort, South Carolina.  Randolph and Marjorie Melvin have two children:  -  Kelly Lynn Melvin, b. FRANCIS DIGHT OLLIFF (1.4.2.8) is the son of Matthew Olliff and Annie (Jones) Olliff.  Dight was born on December 2, 1866 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On December 18, 1887, Dight Olliff married Eugenia Mercer in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Eugenia was born on April 25, 1869 in Georgia and is the daughter of Mack Mercer.  Eugenia’s sister, Anna Mercer, married Francis Olliff’s brother, Matthew Dorse Olliff (1.4.2.10).  Dight and Eugenia Olliff were the parents of at least five children:

From 1900 to 1920, Dight and Eugenia Olliff were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Dight Olliff died on January 13, 1929 and Eugenia (Mercer) Olliff died on April 4, 1947.  Both were buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  In 1910, Aubrey Olliff was a boarder in the household of Walburg and Ida Waters.  On August 4, 1920, Aubrey Olliff married Melrose Green.  Melrose was born on July 21, 1894 and is the daughter of M. J. Green and Anna Jane Green.  Aubrey Olliff died on April 16, 1952 and Melrose (Green) Olliff died on July 30, 1968.  Both were buried in the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On August 27, 1929, Ulma Olliff married Olin Smith.  In 1928, Rawden Olliff married Clara Edwards, daughter of A. H. Edwards.  Rawden and Clara Olliff have at least one son:  -  Rawden Olliff, Jr., b. August 27, 1929.  Rawden Olliff, Sr. died on January 1, 1933 and was buried in the Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.

Bruce Olliff married Marian Foy (1.4.4.1.2.3).  Marian is the daughter of Manassas Foy and Maxie Ponita (Olliff) Foy.  Bruce and Marian Olliff have two sons:  -  Dight Bruce Olliff, Jr., b. November 14, 1922,  -  Foy Olliff.  Dight Olliff, Jr. married Virginia Lanier and they have two sons:  -  Bruce Olliff,  -  Dight Olliff, Jr.  Foy Olliff married Gwen Williams and they have four children:  -  Bill Olliff,  -  Marion Olliff,  -  Lynn Olliff,  -  Bob Olliff.  In March of 1923, Nannie Olliff married Robert Price Russell and they have two sons.  In 1929, Robert and Nannie Russell were living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  In 1933, they lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

MATTHEW DORSE OLLIFF (1.4.2.10) is the son of Matthew Olliff and Annie (Jones) Olliff.  Matthew was born on May 16, 1870 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On March 3, 1895, Matthew Olliff married Anna Mercer in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Anna was born in July of 1874 in Georgia and is the daughter of Mack Mercer.  Anna’s sister, Eugenia Mercer, married Matthew Olliff’s brother, Francis Dight Olliff (1.4.2.8).  Matthew and Anna Olliff were the parents of one daughter:

  Grace Olliff, b. December 8, 1905, Bulloch County, Georgia

From 1900 to 1920, Matthew and Anna Olliff were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Matthew Olliff died of appendicitis on February 24, 1920 and was buried in Bethlehem Church Cemetery.  On June 9, 1928, Grace Olliff married Dan Lingo (born August 9, 1906).  Dan and Grace Lingo have one son:  -  Danny Lingo, b. July 12, 1934.  Dan Lingo died on December 18, 1973 and Grace (Olliff) Lingo died on July 8, 1974.  Danny Lingo has one daughter.

ELIZABETH OLLIFF (1.4.2.11) is the daughter of Matthew Olliff and Annie (Jones) Olliff.  Elizabeth was born on March 9, 1873 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On March 6, 1890, Elizabeth Olliff married James M. D. Jones (born May 5, 1864 in Georgia).  James and Elizabeth Jones were the parents of six children:

Jones and Elizabeth (Olliff) Jones.  Carrie was born on August 29, 1895 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On July 25, 1917, Carrie Jones married Sollie B. REBECCA OLLIFF (1.4.2.12) is the daughter of Matthew Olliff and Annie (Jones) Olliff.  Rebecca was born on December 30, 1878 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On December 29, 1895, Rebecca Olliff married John Euphrates Winskie.  John was born on October 15, 1868 in Georgia and is the son of Joseph Simonton Winskey and Georgia (Jenkins) Winskey.  Joseph was a Union soldier during the Civil War, entering the 18th Infantry Regiment from Mifflin County, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1861.  His enlistment was for a period of three years and was discharged at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee on December 27, 1864.  According to his pension application, he subsequently lived for six months in Louisville, Kentucky and for six months in Little Rock, Arkansas.  According to family legend, he killed a man in a fight (he was a big and strong man) and he changed his name to his mother’s maiden name, Winskey, in order to evade capture.  The present spelling of Winskie was started by his son, John Euphrates Winskie.  All of the descendants of Joseph Simonton alias W. P. Winskey whose names are Winskey or Winskie would be Simontons if he had not changed in his name.  John and Rebecca Winskie were the parents of ten children:

From 1900 to 1920, John and Rebecca Winskie were living in Bulloch County, Georgia.  In 1910, Rebecca’s mother, Annie (Cowart) Olliff, was living with John and Rebecca in Bulloch County, Georgia.  John Winskie died on November 23, 1933 and Rebecca (Olliff) Winskie died on March 5, 1962.  Both were buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia.  Wilmer Winskie died in infancy.  On September 28, 1926, Thelma Winskie married Clarence Edwin Billings (born August 9, 1901) and they have one daughter:  -  Rebecca Lois Billings, b. On September 27, 1928, Dent Winskie married Ida Mae Billings and they have one daughter:  -  Doris Frances Winskie, b. July 31, 1929.  Dent Winskie married a second time to Arna Lee Sparks (born November 2, 1912) and they have one daughter:  -  Wilma Juanita Winskie, b. July 5, 1938.  Dent Winskie and Arna Lee (Sparks) Winskie were both killed in an automobile accident on October 9, 1992.  On November 14, 1932, Stacie Winskie married Emmy Heinz (born May 4, 1907) and they have one son:  -  William Stacie Winskie, b. January 4, 1934.  On June 1, 1935, Annie Winskie married Mildred Anthony Joiner (born March 12, 1911) and they have three children:  -  Ray Anthony Joiner, b. FRED EUPHRATES WINSKIE (1.4.2.12.2) is the son of John Euphrates Winskie and Rebecca (Olliff) Winskie.  Fred was born on October 15, 1898 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  On December 15, 1920, Fred Winskie married Nettie L. Jones.  Nettie was born on March 6, 1902 and is the daughter of Millard Fillmore Jones (born 1878) and Pauline (Simmons) Jones.  Fred and Nettie Winskie were the parents of four children:

JOHN MILLARD WINSKIE (1.4.2.12.2.4) is the son of Fred Euphrates Winskie and Nettie L. (Jones) Winskie.  John was born on July 3, 1928.  On September 15, 1950, John Winskie married Doris Rita Kilcup.  Doris was born on November 17, 1933 in Long Island City, New York and is the daughter of Bret Earl Kilcup and Rita (DeSimone) Kilcup.  John and Doris Winskie are the parents of three children:

John M. Winskie served in the United States Air Force for over 21 years as an officer and pilot.  He retired for the United States Air Force in November of 1970 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  John served in both the Korean and Vietnamese wars where he flew 147 combat missions as a B-52 Aircraft Commander over Laos, Cambodia, North Vietnam and South Vietnam.  He was awarded the Air Medal with several Oak Leaf Clusters for action over Southeast Asia.  From 1989 to 1992, John M. Winskie was living in Chewelah, Washington.  On October 25, 1981, John E. Winskie married Ella Velikina.  On April 17, 1988, John E. Winskie married a second time to Anne Lincoln Rathbone.  Anne was born on April 4, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts and is the daughter of Robert Reynolds Rathbone (a professor at M. I. T.) and Harriett Perrin (Durkee) Rathbone.  On February 12, 1977, Mary Winskie married Norman Ambacher (born May 15, 1956) and they have two daughters:  -  Melissa Marie Ambacher, b.
