Turner, administrator of Jordan Brooks estate, sold land to James T. Owens.  In 1860, William and Susan Turner were living in Stewart County, Georgia.  In the 1850 and 1860 censuses, Helen Brooks, Susan’s sister, was living with them.  In 1850, Mary Brooks, Susan’s mother, was living with them.  William Turner was the father at least of two children by previous marriage:  Thomas Turner (born 1845) and John Turner (born 1846).  Susan (Brooks) Turner probably died between 1860 and 1870, as Susan’s sister, Helen Brooks (2.14) was living with her nephew from 1870 to 1880.

Turner on October 13, 1840.  In March of 1841, William H. Turner received $118.65 from the estate of Jordan Brooks indicating his marriage into the Brooks family prior to his marriage to Susan Brooks which is known to be on January 7, 1849.  If Roseany Brooks was married to William H. Turner in 1840 then they were the parents of at least two children:

  Thomas Jefferson Turner (2.15.1), b. October 11, 1844, Georgia
