JESSE CLINTON CASEY (8.1.10) is the son of Jesse E. Casey and Martha Patsy (Coe) Casey.  Jesse was born on October 15, 1834 in Georgia (or possibly Tennessee).  His application for pension states that he was born in Jersey County, Georgia, but there never has been a Jersey County located in Georgia.  In August of 1856, Jesse Casey married Sarah Snow.  Sarah was born 1832 in Tennessee and is the daughter of Solomon Snow and Mary Elizabeth (Coe) Snow.  In 1860, Jesse and Sarah Casey were living in Newton County, Arkansas.  Jesse and Sarah Casey were the parents of seven children:

Jesse Clinton Casey served in the Union Army during the Civil War from September 2, 1863 to August 8, 1865.  Jesse was a private in Company E, Second Regiment of the Arkansas Volunteers.  He joined the army in Jasper, Arkansas and was mustered out at Clarksville, Arkansas.  When Jesse enlisted, his personal description was as follows:  height - five feet and eight inches;  complexion - fair;  eyes - blue;  hair - light.  Sarah (Snow) Casey died between 1866 and 1868.  In 1868, Jesse Clinton Casey married Lydia Harrison (born December 13, 1832 in Tennessee) in Newton County, Arkansas and they were the parents of three children:

During the 1880s, Jesse Casey and family moved to Taney County, Missouri.  In 1920, Jesse and Sarah Casey were living in Boone County, Arkansas.  Jesse C. Casey died on December 19, 1925 in Boone County, Arkansas.  Jesse Clinton Casey and his first wife, Sarah (Snow) Casey, were buried in the Elmwood Cemetery near Harrison, Arkansas.  Sarah (Greenway) Casey died on November 2, 1922 in Boone County, Arkansas.  William E. Casey married Allie Marler and they had two children:  -  Ella Casey,  -  Ernie Casey.  William and Allie Casey lived in Oklahoma.  In 1920, George Casey was living with his father in Boone County, Arkansas.

Martha Casey married James White and they had no children.  James White died in 1940 and Martha (Casey) White died on September 24, 1965.  Hetty Casey died as an infant on December 18, 1879.  Julia Casey married John Carroll Webb.  John and Julia Webb had ten children:  -  Lonnie Webb,  -  Vada Webb,  -  Lloyd Webb,  -  Troy Webb,  -  Erbie Webb,  -  Clayton Webb,  -  Viola Webb,  -  Braswell Webb,  -  Ernest Webb,  -  Carlton Webb.  Julia (Casey) Webb died on April 6, 1964.  Jean Hillebrand is a descendant of John and Julia Webb.  Ambrose Casey died on January 25, 1885.  Jesse C. Casey married Obie Coleman and they had at least one daughter:  -  Jane Casey.  In 1920, Jesse Casey and his wife, Dora N. Casey (born 1893, Arkansas), were living in Boone County, Arkansas.  Jesse C. Casey lived in McAlister, Oklahoma.  Jesse C. Casey died on May 10, 1971.  Jane Casey married John Horn and lived in Oklahoma.  Jane (Casey) Horn died in an automobile accident in 1959.

John H. Casey married Cora Callie Coleman (born 1896, Arkansas) and they had one daughter:  -  Wilma Fay Casey, b. December 7, 1914, Arkansas.  In 1920, John and Cora Casey were living in Boone County, Arkansas.  John Casey married a second time to Mrs. May (Daniels) Brazell and they had one child that died in infancy.  John Casey married a third time to Virginia Galligher Davis and they had no children.  John H. Casey died on March 10, 1966.  Wilma Fay Casey married Lex Powers and they had seven children:  -  Catherine Powers,  -  Maryln Powers,  -  Barbara Ann Powers,  -  Elizabeth Powers,  -  Arbella Powers,  -  Lester Powers,  -  Bobby Powers.  Lex and Wilma Powers live near Seligman, Missouri.  Alice Casey married Ewing Erwin and they live near Harrison, Arkansas.  Ewing and Alice Erwin have one son:  -  Mitchell Erwin.  Mitchell Erwin married Zona Knox and they have two children:  -  Ronnie Erwin,  -  Johnie Erwin.

Stafford (born June, 1860, Missouri) and they were the parents of seven children:

In 1900, Christopher and Harriett Casey were living in Boone County, Arkansas.  Christopher Casey married a third time to Fannie Gaither and they had no children.  Annie Casey married Will Price and they had no children.  Annie (Casey) Price died in Pryor, Oklahoma.  Hettie Casey married Riley Elijah Bryant (born February 1, 1881 in Taney County, Missouri) and they moved to Oklahoma.  Hettie (Casey) Bryant died on January 5, 1945 in Fresno, California and was buried in the Washington Cemetery in Rogers County, Oklahoma.  Riley Bryant died on August 16, 1972 in Claremore, Oklahoma.  Hettie is the grandmother of the wife of Cleve Kinnear, an active Casey researcher.  Nettie Casey died the same day that she was born, November 4, 1887.  Boone Casey married Claudia Graham.  Boone Casey died in Oklahoma.  Maude Casey married Brice Hudson (born Arkansas) and they lived in Oklahoma.  Maude (Casey) Hudson died on February 13, 1973 in Pryor, Oklahoma and was buried in Pryor, Oklahoma.  Brice Hudson died in Pryor, Oklahoma.  David Casey married Bonnie Robinson.  David Casey died in Oklahoma.

Casey died on December 16, 1969 in Claremore, Oklahoma and Sarah (Fenix) Casey died in May of 1973.  Both were buried there in the Washington Cemetery.  Loyd Casey died on March 7, 1978.  William H. Casey died at the age of six months.  Martha W. Casey died at the age of six months.  On January 6, 1945, Jattie Casey married Buell Eldridge Helm.  Buell was born on July 12, 1918 and is the son of George Escal Helm and Emma Ethel (Porterfield) Helm.  Buell and Jattie Helm had five children:  -  Hal Buell Helm,  -  Georgia Helm,  -  Jim Eschel Helm,  -  Noel Will Helm,  -  Jon Helm.  Hal Helm is an active Casey researcher.  Elax C. Casey died on August 6, 1976.

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS CASEY (8.1.10.5.2) is the son of Elax Erastus Casey and Ida Elizabeth (Lunsford) Casey.  Christopher was born on March 12, 1887 in Harrison, Arkansas.  On December 27, 1910, Christopher Casey married Zada Richey and they were the parents of five children:

Casey and Martha Patsy (Coe) Casey.  Barbara was born around 1835 in Alabama.  She is listed with her father as Barca in the 1850 census of Newton County, Arkansas.  In 1857, Barbara Casey married Hijah Snow in Newton County, Arkansas.  Hijah was born in 1829 in Tennessee and is the son of Solomon Snow and Mary Elizabeth (Coe) Snow.  Hijah and Barbara Snow were the parents of at least three children:

WESLEY A. CASEY (8.1.12) is the son of Jesse E. Casey and Martha Patsy (Coe) Casey.  West was born in 1841 in Arkansas.  On November 7, 1858, West Casey married Salutee Woodward in Newton County, Arkansas.  West and Salutee Casey were the parents of at least three children:

  Martha Elizabeth Casey, b. February 11, 1860, Arkansas
  Dennis Casey, b. December 6, 1861
  Jessie Casey, b. December 13, 1862

On January 1, 1864, West Casey joined the Union Army, Company E of the Second Arkansas Infantry.  He enrolled in Jasper, Arkansas for three years and served under Captain Ambrose McPherson who was also the Minister of Gospel for his marriage.  West served as a private in the same company as his brothers, Jesse and Anthony.  While in the service, West died of pneumonia in Clarksville, Arkansas on May 21, 1864.  On September 18, 1867, Salutee (Woodward) Casey married in Burnet, Texas to Samuel K. Nicholas.  In 1870, Samuel and Salutee Nicholas were living in Johnson County, Arkansas.  On August 9, 1871, Samuel Nicholas was appointed guardian to Martha Casey in Johnson County, Arkansas.  Samuel and Salutee Nicholas moved to Hewitt, Indian Territory.  Salutee (Woodward) Casey died around 1922.

Martha E. Casey married Tom Shelton.  Tom is the son of Stephen Shelton.  Tom and Martha Shelton had at least one daughter:  -  Jessie Jane Shelton.  Tom Shelton died in 1916 and Martha (Casey) Shelton died in 1926.  Jessie Shelton married Lucian Holland and they had at least one daughter:  -  Eddie Ruth Holland.  Jessie (Shelton) Holland died in 1932.  Dennis Casey died in July of 1864 and Jessie Casey died in August of 1864.
