JAMES ALFRED CASEY (4)

James Alfred Casey is the son of Lewis Casey (3) and Lucretia (Woodward) Casey.  James was born on September 10, 1858 in Huntsville, Madison County, Arkansas.  In 1880, James was still living with his parents in Madison County, Arkansas.  James Casey married Annette Tucker (12) in Arkansas.  Annette was born on November 12, 1861 in Madison County, Arkansas and is the daughter of John A. Tucker and Lucinda (Arrington) Tucker.  For additional information on the descendants of John and Lucinda Tucker, see the sketch of John A. Tucker (11).  From 1880 to 1893, James and Annette Casey lived in Arkansas.  They moved to the Indian Territory (part of Oklahoma today) for a period of time between 1893 and 1900.  From 1900 to 1910, James and Annette Casey were living in Franklin County, Arkansas.  James and Annette Casey were the parents of eleven children:

Around 1912, James Alfred Casey and his family moved to Kanima, Haskell County, Oklahoma and lived there several years.  Around 1920, James and his family moved to Claremore, Oklahoma.  In 1939, James and Annette Casey moved to Turlock, California.  Annette (Tucker) Casey died in April of 1945 and James Alfred Casey died on July 13, 1948.  Both were buried in the Turlock Cemetery in Turlock, California.

MARTHA ELLEN CASEY (4.1) is the daughter of James Alfred Casey and Annette (Tucker) Casey.  Ella was born on October 21, 1881 in Huntsville, Arkansas.  On November 25, 1900, Ella Casey married John Henry Johnson in Ozark, Arkansas.  John was born on October 3, 1879 in Arkansas.  John and Ella Johnson lived in Ozark, Arkansas, Claremore, Oklahoma, and Stigler, Oklahoma.  John and Ella Johnson were the parents of five children:

In 1910, John and Ella Johnson were living in Franklin County, Arkansas.  In 1940, John and Ella Johnson moved to Turlock, California.  John H. Johnson died on March 29, 1959 and Ella (Casey) Johnson died on June 18, 1972.  Both were buried in the Turlock Cemetery in Turlock, California.

CHRISTINA VELMA JOHNSON (4.1.1) is the daughter of John Henry Johnson and Martha Ellen (Casey) Johnson.  Christina was born on July 8, 1902 in Arkansas.  Christina Johnson married Jacobs Ambers “Buster” Shoopman.  Jacobs Shoopman is the son of Marcus Shoopman and Betty (Hammond) Shoopman.  Jacobs and Christina Shoopman are the parents of five children:

Christina (Johnson) Shoopman died on January 29, 1937.  As of 1980, Jacobs Shoopman was living in Porterville, California.  In 1947, Johnnie Shoopman married Anna Hunter in Glasgow, Scotland.  Johnnie and Anna Shoopman are the parents of three children:  -  Susan Elizabeth Shoopman, b. Modesto, California,  -  Brian William Shoopman, b. Modesto, California,  -  Andrew Marcus Shoopman, b. Modesto, California.  During World War II, Johnnie served three years in Europe with the 437th Troop Carrier group.  From 1947 to 1970, Johnnie worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and from 1970 to 1980, he has worked for the United States Postal Service.  Susan Shoopman married Glen Fullaway of Levittown, Pennsylvania.  Brian Shoopman married Darlene Farris of Hayward, California.  As of 1980, Johnnie Shoopman was living in San Jose, California.

Zula Shoopman married Elmo Deeds.  Elmo and Zula Deeds are the parents of one son:  -  Roy Deeds, b. 1938.  In 1942, Zula married a second time to Arthie Covey and they are the parents of two daughters:  -  Patricia Covey,  -  Tena Covey.  In 1978, Zula married a third time to Charles Page.  As of 1980, Zula (Shoopman) Page was living in Modesto, California.  Charles Shoopman married Bessie Martin and they are the parents of four daughters:  -  Linda Shoopman,  -  Judy Shoopman,  -  Charlene Shoopman,  -  Velma Shoopman.  Charles Shoopman and his second wife, Mary Shoopman, are the parents of four children:  -  Charles Shoopman,  -  Robert Shoopman,  -  Martha Shoopman,  -  James Shoopman.  During World War II, Charles Shoopman served as a machine gunner in the Pacific.  After the war, Charles worked for Lampe Lumber Company of Tulare, California.  Charles Ralph Shoopman died in 1976 in Porterville, California.

James Shoopman and his wife, Burnell Shoopman, were the parents of three daughters:  -  Annetta Ann Shoopman,  -  Betty Jean Shoopman,  -  Wilma Kay Shoopman.  During World War II, James Shoopman was in the infantry in the Philippines and was wounded in the left hand for which he received the Purple Heart.  James is a Mason.  As of 1980, James Shoopman was driving a truck for John Deere Tractor hauling heavy equipment and was living in Hayward, California.  Mary Shoopman married Jack Martin and they were the parents of two children:  -  Mary Jacklyn Martin,  -  Jimmie Garland Martin.  Later, Mary married a second time to W. C. Northcot and they have no children.  As of 1980, Mary (Shoopman) Northcot was living in Porterville, California.

ROY DAVID JOHNSON (4.1.2) is the son of John Henry Johnson and Martha Ellen (Casey) Johnson.  Roy was born on December 19, 1904 in Arkansas.  On June 22, 1922, Roy Johnson married Wilma Agnes Haney in Claremore, Oklahoma.  Wilma was born on April 9, 1905 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and is the daughter of James Samuel Haney and Dora Belle (Spurlock) Haney.  In 1923, they moved to Keota, Oklahoma near Stigler, Oklahoma.  From there, the clan migrated to the oil boom area of Seminole, Oklahoma and the Johnson men went to work for Sinclair Oil Company.  Living conditions were primitive and the workers and their families were housed in tents.  Typhoid fever broke out in the tent camp and Roy took his family by train to Claremore to visit with his wifes family until the epidemic subsided.  Two weeks later, Roys father brought him back to Claremore by team and wagon, after suffering a ruptured appendix.  Although a doctor performed an appendectomy, Roy died a few days later in the Claremore hospital.  Roy and Wilma Johnson are the parents of three children:

  Claudia Marie Johnson, b. September 7, 1923, Claremore, Oklahoma
  James Harold Johnson, b. February 18, 1925, Stigler, Oklahoma
  LeRoy David Johnson, b. April 11, 1927, Seminole, Oklahoma

Roy David Johnson died on May 27, 1927 in Claremore, Oklahoma and was buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma.  After Roys premature death, his family lived with his wifes parents in Claremore and Wagoner, Oklahoma.  In 1945, they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Claudia Johnson graduated from Wagoner High School in Wagoner, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University and Tulsa University.  During World War II, she served in the Canadian Womens Army Corps in London and Ontario, Canada.  Claudia has no children.  As of 1980, Claudia is an accountant and Real Estate Broker and lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

James Johnson graduated from Wagoner High School in Wagoner, Oklahoma and attended Tulsa University.  During World War II, he served in the United States Marine Corps in the South Pacific.  On August 18, 1960, James Johnson married Erma Lorraine Zimmer.  Erma was born on June 8, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  James and Erma Johnson have no children.  James worked 30 years for American Airlines.  As of 1980, James was living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

LeRoy Johnson graduated from Wagoner High School in Wagoner, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University and Tulsa University.  During World War II, he served in the United States Navy aboard the destroyer SS Hamilton.  LeRoy has no children.  LeRoy was an airline pilot and was a Captain for Trans World Airlines.  He also has worked for the Federal Aviation Administration, International Division and has subsequently retired.  As of 1980, LeRoy was living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

JOHNNY MURL JOHNSON (4.1.4) is the son of John Henry Johnson and Martha Ellen (Casey) Johnson.  Johnny was born on February 22, 1919 in Arkansas.  Johnny Johnson married Alpha Alliene Adkison.  Alpha was born in January of 1923 in Oklahoma and is the daughter of Joseph Laster Adkison and Edith May (Parrott) Adkison.  Johnny and Edith Johnson are the parents of three children:

  Howard Wayne Johnson, b. May, 1943, Stockton, California

Johnny Murl Johnson died on August 8, 1979 in LaGrange, California and was buried in Empire, California.  Harold Johnson married Barbara Kincaid (born 1941 in Fresno, California) and they are the parents of two children:  -  Mark T. Johnson, b. January, 1962, Modesto, California,  -  Deborah Renee Johnson, b. September, 1963, Modesto, California.  As of 1980, Harold Johnson was living in Fremont, California.

MAMIE LOU ANNETTE JOHNSON (4.1.5) is the daughter of John Henry Johnson and Martha Ellen (Casey) Johnson.  Mamie was born on June 4, 1925.  Mamie Johnson married George Travis.  George and Mamie Travis had no children.  George Travis died on August 27, 1976.  On May 14, 1978, Mamie (Johnson) Travis married a second time to Francis Bettencourt.  As of 1980, Francis and Mamie Bettencourt were living in Turlock, California.

PERRY DALLAS CASEY (4.3) is the son of James Alfred Casey and Annette (Tucker) Casey.  Perry was born on March 25, 1884 in Webb City, Arkansas.  On August 26, 1906, Perry Casey married Lillie Gage in Webb City, Arkansas.  Lillie Gage was born on March 2, 1887 in Franklin County, Arkansas and is the daughter of Randolph Gage and Britanna (Jones) Gage.  In 1910, Perry and Lillie Casey were living in Franklin County, Arkansas.  In 1914, Perry and his family moved to Haskell County, Oklahoma in a covered wagon.  Perry owned and operated a country store with a gas pump.  He had a barber shop in his store where he cut hair.  Later, he sold his store and returned to farming.  In the late 1920s, Perry and Lillie lived in California for two years.  Perry and Lillie Casey were the parents of five children:

OMER JASON CASEY (4.3.1) is the son of Perry Dallas Casey and Lillie (Gage) Casey.  Omer was born on July 10, 1907 in Webb City, Arkansas.  On April 29, 1929, Omer married Myrtle Marie Beshears in El Centro, California.  Myrtle was born on August 21, 1910 and is the daughter of John Allen Beshears and Lucinda Elvyn (Baker) Beshears.  Omer and Myrtle Casey are the parents of four children:

  Omer Lee Casey, b. April 19, 1930
  James Leniol Casey, b. May 9, 1935
  Bobby Ray Casey, b. June 14, 1938

As of 1980, Omer Casey was living in Camp Verde, Arizona.  Omer Jason Casey died on September 7, 1988 in Somerton, Arizona.  As of 1988, Myrtle (Beshears) Casey was living in Somerton, Arizona.  Omer Lee Casey married Juandell Jean Walker and they are the parents of three children:  -  Larry Lee Casey, b. LENA LORENE CASEY (4.3.2) is the daughter of Perry Dallas Casey and Lillie (Gage) Casey.  Lorene was born on December 14, 1908 in Webb City, Arkansas.  On December 27, 1924, Lorene Casey married John Holt.  John and Lorene Holt were the parents of one son:

Lorene married a second time to Mr. Amos and they were the parents of one son:

Lorene married a third time to a Mr. Angelos and they were the parents of one daughter:

WALDO ROLLAND CASEY (4.3.3) is the son of Perry Dallas Casey and Lillie (Gage) Casey.  Waldo was born on December 14, 1911 in Cecil, Arkansas.  On December 28, 1929, Waldo Casey married Addie Mae Miller in Stigler, Oklahoma.  Addie was born on January 28, 1915 and is the daughter of William Pickney Miller and Minnie Maud (Gregg) Miller.  Waldo and Addie Casey are the parents of three children:

  Francille Sue Casey, b. January 5, 1931
  Fern Yvonne Casey, b. January 3, 1934
  Arnold Ralph Casey, b. October 26, 1940, Stigler, Oklahoma

In 1941, Waldo bought a farm near Kanima, Oklahoma where he raised cattle, hogs and chickens.  In 1950, Waldo and Addie Casey sold their farm and moved to Chicago, Illinois where Waldo was employed by Crane Packing Company for 27 years.  Waldo was a machinist and an inspector of materials used in making seals.  In 1977, Waldo and Addie Casey moved to Elizabethtown, Kentucky.  Waldo Casey died on January 20, 1988 and was buried in the Antioch Cemetery in Stigler, Oklahoma.  Francille Casey married George Desanti (born June 7, 1926).

Fern Casey married Alfred Barnett (born December 8, 1928).  Alfred and Fern Barnett are the parents of two children:  -  Sharon Faye Barnett, b. July 5, 1955,  -  Karen Sue Barnett, b. May 29, 1957.  Sharon Barnett married Bruce McGovern (born October 13, 1953).  Bruce and Sharon McGovern are the parents of one child:  -  Bruce Waldern McGovern, b. January 27, 1977.  Karen Barnett married Phil Delaney (born September 9, 1956).  Phil and Karen Delaney are the parents of one child:  -  James Duston Delaney, b. November 14, 1975.

Arnold Casey attended Lane Technical High School in Chicago, an all boys school with an enrollment of in excess of six thousand boys.  Arnold took courses in machine design and machine shop and graduated in June of 1959.  That same year, he went to work for Crane Packing Company as a machinist in the Teflon Division.  On October 24, 1959, Arnold Casey married Barbara Monaco in Chicago.  Barbara was born on October 10, 1942.  In 1963, Arnold went to work for Controls Company of America as a tool and die maker.  In 1964, he worked for Bell and Howell in Skokie, Illinois as a model maker, where he worked on the Surveyor System which went to the moon.  In 1966, he was employed by Deringer Manufacturing Company in Mundelein, Illinois as a tool and die maker.  Arnold attended evening school at College of Lake County, studying tool design and marketing.  In July of 1971, he was promoted to Area Salesman in the southern region, lived ten months in West Frankfort, Illinois and then moved to Louisville, Kentucky.  In Septmeber of 1975, Arnold and his family moved to Elizabethtown, Kentucky.  Arnold and Barbara Casey are the parents of two children:  -  Debora Lynn Casey, b. February 24, 1961,  -  Arnold Mark Casey, b. June 7, 1962.  As of 1980, Arnold Casey was still living in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

GRADY OLIVER CASEY (4.3.4) is the son of Perry Dallas Casey and Lillie (Gage) Casey.  Grady was born on November 3, 1918 in Kanima, Oklahoma.  Grady Casey married Dorothy Palmer.  Grady and Dorothy Casey were the parents of one son:

Grady Oliver Casey died on December 21, 1978 in Hanford, California.

LUCINDA ADELINE CASEY (4.4) is the daughter of James Alfred Casey and Annette (Tucker) Casey.  Lucinda was born on April 2, 1885 in Arkansas.  Lucinda Casey first married Charles Jones.  Charles and Lucinda Jones were the parents of one child:

In 1912, Lucinda (Casey) Jones then married Augustus Burfield.  Gus was born on June 1, 1872 in Alabama.  Gus and Lucinda Burfield were the parents of four children:

Augustus Burfield died on September 8, 1955 and Lucinda (Casey) Burfield died on June 24, 1956.  Both were buried in the Claremore Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma.  Lester Jones married Lavone Davis and they were the parents of one daughter:  -  Gloria Jones.  Lester Jones died in 1974. Vivian Burfield died at the age of three and one-half years of age.

MONA V. BURFIELD (4.4.3) is the daughter of Augustus Burfield and Lucinda Adeline (Casey) Burfield.  Mona was born on July 20, 1918 in Stigler, Oklahoma.  On October 22, 1933, Mona Burfield married William Albert Driver in Springdale, Arkansas.  William and Mona Driver are the parents of three children:

  David Driver, b. January 3, 1935, Wichita, Kansas

William Driver was a mechanic for Boeing Aircraft.  William A. Driver died on March 10, 1978.  As of 1980, Mona (Burfield) Driver was living in Wichita, Kansas.  On December 23, 1952, Marjorie Driver married Jimmy L. FLOY BEATRICE BURFIELD (4.4.4) is the daughter of Augustus Burfield and Lucinda Adeline (Casey) Burfield.  Floy was born on May 29, 1920 in Claremore, Oklahoma.  On July 27, 1938, Floy Burfield married Tracy Washington Reese in Wichita, Kansas.  Tracy and Floy Reese are the parents of one adopted son:

  Larry Reese

Floy (Burfield) Reese died on April 10, 1971.  Tracy Reese married a second time to a woman named Lottie.  As of 1980, Larry Reese was living in Claremore, Oklahoma.

VESTAL C. BURFIELD (4.4.5) is the son of Augustus Burfield and Lucinda Adeline (Casey) Burfield.  Vestal was born on January 9, 1924 in Stigler, Oklahoma.  Vestal Burfield married Aileen Walker and they are the parents of three children:

MAUDE LUCRETIA CASEY (4.5) is the daughter of James Alfred Casey and Annette (Tucker) Casey.  Maude was born on June 28, 1887 in Arkansas.  Maude Casey first married Arnett Ernest Baker Garland (born September 18, 1894).  Ernest and Maude Garland were the parents of one child:

  Ernest Timothy Garland (4.5.1), b. August 1, 1914

In November of 1926, Maude (Casey) Garland married a second time to David Andrew Miller (born May 7, 1893).  David and Maude Miller were the parents of two children:

  Flaun Victoria Miller (4.5.2), b. May 24, 1928
  William Casey Miller (4.5.3), b. February 18, 1931

In 1936, David and Maude Miller moved to California and lived in several places throughout the San Joaquin Valley.  They lived in Turlock, Modesto and Salida, California.  Maude (Casey) Miller died in 1966 and was buried in the Turlock Cemetery, Turlock, California.  Ernest B. Garland died on July 8, 1967 and was buried in the Stigler Cemetery in Stigler, Oklahoma.  David Andrew Miller died in 1978.

ERNEST TIMOTHY GARLAND (4.5.1) is the son of Ernest Baker Garland and Maude Lucretia (Casey) Garland.  Ernest was born on August 1, 1914.  Ernest Garland married Lona Belle Chenault (born November 25, 1921 in Benton, Arkansas).  Ernest and Lona Garland are the parents of two children:

  Beverly Gail Garland, b. September 27, 1946

Ernest Garland lived in Turlock, California before moving to Benton, Arkansas around 1950.  Ernest Garland died in September of 1968.  Larry Garland married Teresita O’Clares (born March 19, 1943 in the Philippine Islands).  Larry and Teresita Garland were the parents of two children:  -  Roselyn Ann Garland, b. October 20, 1970,  -  Alexander Timothy Garland, b. January 8, 1971.  Larry and Teresita Garland were divorced.  Larry Garland married a second time to Janice Kay Kentner.  Larry and Janice Garland are the parents of two children:  -  Christie Gail Garland, b. May 6, 1973,  -  Sheri Kay Garland, b. May 12, 1977.  As of 1980, Larry Garland was living in Alexandria, Louisiana.

FLAUN VICTORIA MILLER (4.5.2) is the daughter of David Andrew Miller and Maude Lucretia (Casey) Miller.  Flaun was born on May 24, 1928.  On April 20, 1956, Flaun Miller married William Camp, Jr. (born June 18, 1927).  Bill is from Leesburg, Florida.  Flaun was a WAC dental assistant at Fort Riley, Kansas when she met Bill who was in the United States Army at the time.  Flaun has been a housewife since she and Bill were married.  They lived in Kansas, California and Hawaii before moving to Oregon.  Bill retired from the military with over twenty-two years of service.  William and Flaun Camp are the parents of three children:

  Stephen Duane Camp, b. March 24, 1959
  Jerold Alan Camp, b. April 11, 1961

As of 1980, William and Flaun Camp were living in Scio, Oregon.  William Jeffrey Camp died on March 7, 1976.
