TEMPERANCE MALINDA CASEY (8.1.3) is the daughter of Jesse E. Casey and Martha Patsy (Coe) Casey.  Temperance was born around 1822 in Tennessee.  A Reminiscent History of the Ozark Region indicates that Temperance Casey married Thomas Farmer of Texas.  Thomas Farmer was born in 1810 in Georgia and is the son of Aquilla Farmer and Mary Farmer.  Thomas and Temperance Farmer were the parents of at least sixteen children:

From 1850 to 1880, Thomas and Temperance Farmer were living in Johnson County, Arkansas.  Rhoda Farmer married Richard Gant.  Clarissa Farmer married Joe Beaty.  Polly Ann Farmer married Thomas Hill.  Thomas Farmer married Catherine Blundell.  Samuel Farmer married Bethany Nancy Sevier.  Samuel Farmer was killed in Texas and Bethany later married Samuels brother, Jesse Farmer.  John Farmer married Sarah Geneva Blundell.  Jesse Farmer married Bethany Nancy (Sevier) Farmer.  David R. Mills is a grandson of Thomas and Temperance Farmer.

ELIJAH SIMMONS CASEY (8.1.4) is the son of Jesse E. Casey and Martha Patsy (Coe) Casey.  Elijah was born in 1823 in Tennessee.  In 1840, Elijah Casey married Nancy Wilkins in Johnson County, Arkansas.  Nancy Wilkins was born in 1823 in Tennessee and is the daughter of James Wilkins and Mary Wilkins.  In 1842, Elijah and Nancy Casey moved to a farm about 8 ½ miles above Jasper in Newton County, Arkansas.  Elijah and his family moved to Marion County, Arkansas in the early 1850s and was still living there in 1860.  Elijah and Nancy Casey were the parents of at least seven children:

Fireside Stories of the Early Days in the Ozarks has the following quote:  One day my little brother, Marion, only a year old took violently sick, and to get rid of the noise made by my brothers, Jesse and Jim and my sister Elender and I (Jasper) were told to go on the hillside about 250 yards from the house and gather some wild grapes.  - - On the second day after this my little brother died.  Elijah Casey died in March of 1894 while living in Tarrant County, Texas.

JESSE NEWTON CASEY (8.1.4.2) is the son of Elijah Simmons Casey and Nancy (Wilkins) Casey.  Jesse was born on October 13, 1844 in Newton County, Arkansas.  On July 16, 1865, Jesse Casey married Mary Jane DePriest.  Mary was born on May 18, 1847 in Tennessee and is the daughter of John A. DePriest and Delilah Catherine (Lancaster) DePriest (born 1828 in Tennessee).  Jesse and Mary Casey were the parents of six children:

  William Whitfield Casey (8.1.4.2.2), b. January 17, 1869, Boone County, Ark.
  Elija Alfred Casey, b. April 12, 1870, Boone County, Arkansas

  Francis Marion Casey, b. March 3, 1879, Boone County, Arkansas

In 1870, Jesse and Mary Casey were living in Boone County, Arkansas.  Mary (DePriest) Casey died on April 11, 1897.  On July 18, 1897, Jesse Casey married a second time to Mahala Roberts in Marion County, Arkansas.  Mahala was born on October 25, 1848 and is the daughter of William Roberts and Malinda Roberts.  Jesse Casey died on January 3, 1920 in Boone County, Arkansas and Mahala (Roberts) Casey died on January 16, 1929.  On January 14, 1883, Martha Casey married James George Richey (born April 22, 1862) and lived in Loraine, Texas.  James and Martha Richey had five children:  -  Boyd Richey, b. October 27, 1884,  -  Floid Richey, b. May 7, 1889,  -  Erey Richey, b. November 10, 1890,  -  Alfurd Richey, b. September 28, 1893,  -  Omey Richey, b. March 22, 1898.  Martha (Casey) Richey died on September 8, 1894 in Mitchell County, Texas.

Elija Casey died as a teenager on September 5, 1885.  Della Casey married Tom Slape.  On November 26, 1896, Nancy Casey married Arch Steve Bolding.  Arch and Nancy Bolding had five children:  -  Purley Bolding, b. July 17, 1897,  -  B. J. Bolding, b. August 30, 1899,  -  J. N. Bolding, b. March 10, 1902,  -  J. B. Bolding, b. March 3, 1904,  -  Paul Bolding, b. November 24, 1904.  Nancy (Casey) Bolding died on January 1, 1961.  J. N. Bolding died on April 6, 1903.  On August 26, 1900, Marion Casey married Allie Nance and lived in Loraine, Texas.  Marion Casey died on June 7, 1967 in Texas.

WILLIAM WHITFIELD CASEY (8.1.4.2.2) is the son of Jesse Newton Casey and Mary J. (DePriest) Casey.  William was born on January 17, 1869 in Boone County, Arkansas.  On March 20, 1887, William Casey married Lucy Virginia Looney (born January 10, 1865).  In 1900, William and Lucy Casey were living in Benton County, Arkansas.  William and Lucy Casey were the parents of six children:

  Pleasant Newton Casey, b. July 4, 1890, Arkansas
  James Marion Casey, b. August 7, 1892, Lowell, Arkansas

Lucy (Looney) Casey died on January 13, 1921 in Hollis, Oklahoma.  William Casey died on March 13, 1940.  On December 9, 1904, Nancy Casey married William Andrew Jackson Weldon.  In 1911, Pleasant Casey married Winnie Kincade.  Pleasant Casey died on January 5, 1924 in Harmon (or Tillman) County, Oklahoma.  On December 7, 1913, James Casey married Mittie Opal Blake in Shamrock, Texas.  James Casey died on January 2, 1977 in Mangum, Oklahoma.  On September 21, 1911, Lessie Casey married Charles Lewis Kincade in Mangum, Oklahoma.  On March 7, 1926, Otto Casey married Thelma Viola Fancher in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Otto Casey died on March 17, 1973.

ELIZABETH CASEY (8.1.5) is the daughter of Jesse E. Casey and Martha Patsy (Coe) Casey.  Elizabeth was born in 1825 in Tennessee.  Elizabeth Casey married Zachariah Beckham (born 1824 in Tennessee).  Zachariah and Elizabeth Beckham were the parents of at least eleven children:

From 1850 to 1860, Zachariah and Elizabeth Beckham were living in Newton County, Arkansas.  In 1870, Elizabeth (Casey) Beckham was living with her children in Newton County, Arkansas.  Elizabeth (Casey) Beckham died on October 4, 1909 and was buried in the Walnut Cemetery in Newton County, Arkansas.  John A. Beckham died in 1863.  Sarah Beckham married Sam Sparks and they had ten children:  -  Will Sparks, b. 1869,  -  Talitha Sparks, b. 1869,  -  John Sparks,  -  Hiram Sparks,  -  Mary Susan Sparks,  -  Lillie Sparks,  -  Della Sparks,  -  Lafayette Sparks,  -  Malburn Sparks,  -  Richard Sparks.  Martha Beckham married Harry Robinson and they had one son:  -  John Allen Robinson.  Martha married a second time to William W. On July 27, 1867, Rebecca Beckham married George W. October 17, 1874,  -  Josh Stephens,  -  Presley Stephens,  -  Charlie Stephens,  -  Jasper Stephens.  Minerva (Beckham) Stephens died around 1927.  Tava (Stephens) Johnson is the granddaughter of William Franklin Stephens.  Neoma Beckham married John Pruitt.  Celia Beckham married Bill Pruitt.
