AMBLER CASEY (1.2.4) is possibly the son of Moses Casey and Elizabeth (Coe) Casey.  Ambler was born on December 20, 1842 in McMinn County, Tennessee.  Ambler Casey served in the Union Army during the Civil War.  He enlisted on September 2, 1863 in Jasper, Arkansas with Company E, Second Regiment, Arkansas Infantry.  Ambler was discharged on August 8, 1865 in Clarksville, Arkansas.  He was listed as five foot, four inches in height, fair complexion, blue eyes and light hair.  In March of 1866, Ambler Casey married Nancy Catherine Smith in Newton County, Arkansas.  Nancy was born on June 24 1848 in Arkansas and is the daughter of Austin Garland Smith and Nancy Rachel (Whiteley) Smith.  Austin Garlon Smith later married Emily Caroline Woodward (21.4).  From 1870 to 1880, Ambler and Nancy Casey were living in Newton County, Arkansas.  Ambler and Nancy Casey were the parents of eleven children:

Ambler Casey died on June 29, 1899 and was buried in the Minnow Creek Cemetery in Johnson County, Arkansas.  Nancy (Smith) Casey died on October 19, 1920 in Oklahoma and was buried in Spiro, Oklahoma.  On September 10, 1894, Sarah Casey married W. C. Vaught in Franklin County, Arkansas.  Sarah Casey later married a Mr. Morrison.  Joseph Casey married Anna Belle Skinner.  Sam Casey married a woman whose first name was Esther and they had two children:  -  Hoyl Casey,  -  Alisa Casey.  Sam Casey died in St. Louis, Missouri.  Edward Casey married a woman whose first name was Ada.  Ada was previously married to a Mr. Glass and had two children by this previous marriage.  Edward and Ada Casey had one daughter:  -  Beatrice Casey, June 2, 1917.  Edward Casey died in 1949 in North Long Beach, California.  Beatrice Casey died on January 11, 1922 and was buried in the Landmark Cemetery in Logan County, Arkansas.

MARY ELIZABETH CASEY (1.2.4.1) is the daughter of Ambler Casey and Nancy Catherine (Smith) Casey.  Mary was born in 1867 in Newton County, Arkansas.  On September 14, 1885, Mary Casey married William Thomas “Billy” Bethel in Newton County, Arkansas.  William was born on May 26, 1865 in Springfield, Missouri and is the son of Thomas Campbell Bethel and Martha Ann (Clayborn) Bethel.  William and Mary Bethel were the parents of five children:

Bethel died on December 12, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was buried there in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  In 1904, Charles Bethel married Sarah Ellen Fairfield.  Charles Bethel died on March 1, 1949 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  On May 4, 1904, Paralee Bethel married John Todd Williams in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.  Paralee (Bethel) Williams died on June 19, 1978 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was buried there in the Tulsa Memorial Park Cemetery.  Chester Bethel married Louise Rodgers.  Chester Bethel died on August 15, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Effie Bethel died as a child in 1899 and was buried in the Greenwood City Cemetery in Greenwood, Arkansas.  William Bethel married Juanita “Neta” York.  William Bethel died on September 1, 1962 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma.

AUSTIN ALLEN CASEY (1.2.4.2) is the son of Ambler Casey and Nancy Catherine (Smith) Casey.  Austin was born on June 29, 1868 in Jasper, Newton County, Arkansas.  On August 11, 1887, Austin Casey married Ellender Frances “Ellen” Ham in Newton County, Arkansas.  Ellen was born on July 21, 1871 in Newton County, Arkansas and is the daughter of Daniel E. Ham (born 1827) and Malinda B. (Doolin) Ham (born 1834).  Ellen’s brother, Grant Ham, married Austin Casey’s first cousin, Winnie Emaline Casey (1.2.1.4).  Austin and Ellen Casey were the parents of four children:

In 1910, Austin and Eliza Casey were living in Franklin County, Arkansas.  In 1920, Austin and Eliza Casey were living in Logan County, Arkansas.  Eliza (Henson) Casey died on March 17, 1939 in Logan County, Arkansas and was buried in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery in Sebastian County, Arkansas.  Austin Casey died on August 9, 1943 in Arkansas and was buried in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery in Sebastian County, Arkansas.  Austin Casey (born 1895) died in 1895 and was buried in the Liberty Cemetery in Franklin County, Arkansas.  Esther Casey died in Johnson County, Arkansas.

WILLIAM GRANT CASEY (1.2.4.2.1) is the son of Austin Allen Casey and Ellen May (Ham) Casey.  William was born on January 12, 1890 in Limestone Valley, Newton County, Arkansas.  On January 1, 1914, William Casey married Minnie Belle Lewis in Franklin County, Arkansas.  Minnie was born on September 2, 1896 in Newton County, Arkansas and is the daughter of John William Lewis (born 1872, Arkansas) and Mary Ann (Durham) Lewis (born 1877, Kentucky).  William and Minnie Casey were the parents of at least two sons:

RAYMOND PERRY CASEY (1.2.4.2.1.1) is the son of William Grant Casey and Minnie Belle (Lewis) Casey.  Raymond was born on February 9, 1915 in Franklin County, Arkansas.  On August 15, 1943, Raymond Casey married Mary Marie Campbell in Raymondville, Texas.  Marie was born on April 20, 1920 in Alto, Texas and is the daughter of David Moses Campbell (born 1887, Texas) and Bessie (Christie) Campbell (born 1893, Texas).  Raymond and Marie Casey were the parents of four children:

Casey married Jon Dugar La France in Raymondville, Texas.  Jon was born on July 13, 1938 in Chisholm, Minnesota and is the son of LaFollette George La France and Mabel Eudelle (Dugar) La France.  Jon and Mary La France had no children and were later divorced.  Mary now uses her maiden name.  Jon La France died on May 23, 1982 in San Jose, California.  Raymond Casey, Jr. died on May 22, 1994 in Harlingen, Texas and was buried in the Raymondville Cemetery in Raymondville, Texas.

BILLY RAY CASEY (1.2.4.2.1.4) is the son of William Grant Casey and Pearl (Lewis) Casey.  Billy was born on December 21, 1924 in Hidalgo County, Texas.  On October 4, 1947, Billy Ray Casey married Dixie Lee Peacock in Brownsville, Texas.  Dixie was born on December 8, 1929 in Harlingen, Texas and is the daughter of Ernest Harold Peacock and Anna Pearl (Gaddis) Peacock.  Billy and Dixie Casey are the parents of one son:

MARGIE LOUISE CASEY (1.2.4.2.1.5) is the daughter of William Grant Casey and Pearl (Lewis) Casey.  Margie was born on April 17, 1930 in Raymondville, Texas.  Margie Casey married Russell Roland Moncus.  Russell was born on September 29, 1927 and is the son of Ben J. Moncus and Helen (Lowry) Moncus.  Russell and Margie Moncus were the parents of two children:

  Ben William Moncus, b. December 24, 1949, Corpus Christi, Texas
  Russell Wayne Moncus, b. March 3, 1952, Corpus Christi, Texas

Russell Moncus was killed in an explosion at an oil refinery on August 21, 1957 in Brownsville, Texas and was buried in Combs, Texas.  On July 23, 1959, Margie married a second time to Van Paul Landes.  Paul adopted Margie’s children and their names were changed:

RALPH “TRUMAN” CASEY (1.2.4.2.2) is the son of Austin Allen Casey and Ellen May (Ham) Casey.  Truman was born on December 24, 1892 in Indian Territory.  On August 13, 1911, Truman Casey married Carrie Augusta “Gussie” Knight in Franklin County, Arkansas.  Gussie was born on June 16, 1894 in Arkansas and is the daughter of Robert Knight and Josephine (Hickey) Knight.  Truman and Gussie Casey were the parents of six children:

GEORGE “HERMAN” CASEY (1.2.4.2.2.2) is the son of Ralph Truman Casey and Carrie Augusta “Gussie” (Knight) Casey.  Herman was born on July 28, 1914 in Denning, Arkansas.  On March 17, 1937, George Casey married Mary Euna Faulk in Edinburg, Texas.  Mary was born on September 14, 1939 in Kaplan, Louisiana and is the daughter of John Ador Faulk and Aroncia (Marceaux) Faulk.  George and Mary Casey were the parents of five children:
