HENRY MORROW BRYAN (2.2) is the son of Samuel Bryan and Margaret (Morrow) Bryan.  In 1812, Samuel Bryan, William Bryan and Henry Bryan were listed under Captain Henry’s Company in the Davidson County, Tennessee Tax List.  It is certain that this is Samuel Bryan (2) as Newton Edney, Thomas Allen and Zachariah Allen were shown owning land next to the parcel that Samuel Bryan (2) purchased in 1808.  Assuming that Henry would have to be eighteen to be listed in this tax list, Henry Bryan was born prior to 1794 in North Carolina.  On January 3, 1835, Henry M. Bryan was mentioned as owning land adjacent to land being sold by his brother, William P. Bryan.  This deed states that William P. Bryan sold 70 acres of land to Philip Cloud (?) of Williamson County, Tennessee “touching (the) west corner of Henry M. Bryan.”  On December 5, 1838, Henry M. Bryan purchased 50 acres of land from his brother, William P. Bryan, in Davidson County, Tennessee for $500.  On January 15, 1839, Henry “Morrow” Bryan sold 50 acres of land to Joseph F. Hill in Davidson County, Tennessee for $700.  Henry M. Bryan died shortly prior to October 27, 1850 when sale of property from his state was recorded in Davidson County, Tennessee.  Among those purchasing from Henry’s estate include:  John M. Bryan, Samuel Pinkerton, Joseph Pinkerton and Elizabeth Pinkerton.
