EDD MANGRAM BRYANT (3.6.9) is the son of William DeMoss Bryan and Ellen (Dowaine) Bryan.  Edd was born on July 31, 1883 in Maury County, Tennessee.  On March 8, 1917, Edd Bryant married Audrie Booker (born August 3, 1897 in Tennessee).  Edd and Audrie Bryant were the parents of nine children:

In 1920, Ed and Audrie Bryant were living in Maury County, Tennessee.  Audrie (Booker) Bryant died on May 2, 1935.  Edd Bryant was blind for the last thirty years of his life.  Edd Mangram Bryant died on July 26, 1967 and was buried in the Mobley Cemetery in Hickman County, Tennessee.  On October 4, 1958, Annie Bryant married Charles Gibbs.  Charles and Annie Gibbs are the parents of one son:  -  Eric Clay Gibbs, b. June 4, 1962.  On July 18, 1942, Edna Bryant married James T. Davis (born March 26, 1923).  James and Edna Davis are the parents of one son:  -  James T. Davis, Jr., b. October 9, 1955.  Marie Bryant died on July 29, 1977.  In 1938, John Bryant was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Sanders.  John Floyd Bryant Sanders died unmarried on June 15, 1972.

MARY B. BRYANT (3.6.9.1) is the daughter of Edd Mangrum Bryant and Audrie (Booker) Bryant.  Mary was born on July 20, 1918 in Tennessee.  On December 14, 1940, Mary Bryant married Luther Thomas Davis (born June 23, 1916).  Luther and Mary Davis are the parents of one daughter:

   Peggy Davis, b. September 28, 1942

As of 1985, Luther and Mary Davis were living near Fairview, Tennessee.  On March 31, 1962, Peggy Davis married Paul Wayne Cole (born March 31, 1941 in Davidson County, Tennessee) in Davidson County, Tennessee.  Paul and Peggy Cole are the parents of one daughter:  -  Cynthia Marie Cole, b. October 2, 1963.  On September 24, 1983, Cindy Cole married Melvin Douglas Joyner, Jr. (born March 14, 1963 in Fayette County, Tennessee) in Weakley County, Tennessee.  Doug and Cindy Joyner are the parents of one daughter:  -  Brandi Michelle Joyner, b. July 10, 1983, Davidson County, Tennessee.  Peggy and Paul Cole were later divorced.  On August 24, 1970, Peggy married a second time to Ross Miller (born June 30, 1940 in Franklin County, Tennessee).  On June 20, 1983, Ross and Peggy Miller were divorced.

RUTH CHURCH BRYANT (3.6.9.2) is the daughter of Edd Mangrum Bryant and Audrie (Booker) Bryant.  Ruth was born on November 24, 1919 in Hickman County, Tennessee.  On November 11, 1945, Ruth Bryant married Wallace Albert Jones (born April 21, 1913 in Greenville, South Carolina).  Wallace and Ruth Jones are the parents of five children:

ODIE ELIZABETH BRYAN (3.6.10) is the daughter of William DeMoss Bryan and Ellen (Dowain) Bryan.  Odie was born on February 23, 1885 in Maury County, Tennessee.  She attended Aiken Ridge Public School in Maury County, Tennessee.  On January 1, 1908, Odie Bryan married Joseph Ellis Dodson (born November 30, 1880 in Tennessee) in her parents home and Reverend S. M. McGowan officiated.  In 1910, Ellis and Odie Dodson were living in Maury County, Tennessee.  Ellis and Odie Dodson were the parents of nine children:

Ellis and Odie Dodson lived 20 miles out in the country, the nearest doctor was three miles away.  Odie had a full time occupation of being homemaker with eight children.  She sewed for the family, made soap for the laundry, knitted wool socks for the men’s winter wear, taking care of the illness and accidents of the small children.  She gave birth to Johnnie Charlotte Dodson with the aid of a neighbor woman before the doctor could arrive.  Dr. Anderson of Williamsport delivered all of the other children.  As a young man Ellis Dodson helped his father with his woodwork and building houses.  The two of them built the William DeMoss Bryan house.  For several seasons, he traveled with the Bryan thresher crew as field manager.  After he married, Ellis chose to give up traveling and to farm for a living.  Ellis Dodson died May 28, 1954 of a heart attack and Odie (Bryan) Dodson died on February 17, 1958 with a brain concussion.  Both were buried at the Santa Fe Cemetery in Santa Fe, Tennessee.  Fannie Dodson died on July 7, 1912 as an infant.

JAMES B. DODSON (3.6.10.1) is the son of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  James was born on December 24, 1909 in Tennessee.  In January of 1965, James Dodson married Flora Black (born February 24, 1926).  James adopted Flora’s children:

James Dodson made a career in the United States Navy.  After thirty years of service, he worked as a construction worker for fifteen years.

ANNIE LEE DODSON (3.6.10.3) is the daughter of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  Annie was born on February 16, 1914.  On October 1, 1931, Annie Lee Dodson married Arch Lipscomb Houser.  Arch and Annie Houser were the parents of four children:

   Charlotte O’Neil Houser, b. June 24, 1947

Annie Houser was a homemaker.  She was an excellent cook and cultivated beautiful garden flowers.  Annie Lee (Dodson) Houser died on June 26, 1971 of a malignant brain tumor at the age of fifty seven.  Arch Lipscomb Houser died on February 6, 1978.  On January 29, 1959, Archie Lee Houser married Waller Stanfill Farris and they are the parents of twins:  -  Stephen Lee Houser, b. August 12, 1960.  On March 12, 1965, Carol Jean Houser married Carl Harris Sellers.  Carl and Carol Jean Harris are the parents of two children:  -  Wendy Kay Sellers, b. REBECCA MAE DODSON (3.6.10.4) is the daughter of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  Rebecca was born on November 25, 1915.  In 1938, Rebecca Mae Dodson married Walter Emmet Owen (born July 27, 1907).  Walter and Rebecca Owen are the parents of five children:

JOSEPH WESLEY DODSON (3.6.10.5) is the son of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  Joseph was born November 2, 1917 in Maury County, Tennessee.  Joseph Dodson married Lucille Hicks and they were the parents of two sons:

Joseph was a packing house employee for about 30 years.  Later he did construction work and met his untimely death on a construction site.  He was crushed between pieces of heavy machinery and died on June 15, 1975.  Thomas Dodson married Imogene Ezell and they were the parents of two children:  -  Donna Jean Dodson, b. July 26, 1961,  -  Donald Wayne Dodson, b. May 28, 1965.  Thomas Dodson married a second time to Donna Cennell and they are the parents of two children:  -  Donna Marie Dodson, b. JOHNNIE CHARLOTTE DODSON (3.6.10.6) is the daughter of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  Charlotte was born on September 6, 1920 in Maury County, Tennessee.  On January 6, 1945, Charlotte Dodson married Ervin Grant Porter.  Grant was born on July 10, 1917 in Robertson County, Tennessee.  Grant and Charlotte Porter are the parents of three children:

Charlotte Dodson received her Registered Nurse degree in 1942.  She served in the Army Nurse Corp from February, 1943 until November, 1945.  After Charlotte’s marriage to Grant Porter, she continued to pursue nursing until her first child was born.  Charlotte did just enough substitute nursing to remain registered.  In 1971, Charlotte returned to full time nursing in the hospital environment.  She worked as Medical Surgery nurse (mostly post-operative surgery) at Metro Nashville General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.  Grant Porter volunteered for service in the United States Marine Corp in October, 1941.  The completion of boot camp coincided with the Pearl Harbor bombing and he was shipped to Guadalcanal with the First Marine Division.  In December, 1944, after thirty one months in the South Pacific, he was assigned to the states until his discharge in the late summer of 1945.  Grant enrolled in the school of accounting at the Bowling Green Business University in Bowling Green, Kentucky (now merged with Western Kentucky University).  Soon after he received his Bachelor Science degree in accounting, he was recalled to active duty in the United States Marine Corp because of the Korean conflict.  Charlotte moved to Deming, New Mexico to live with her youngest sister, Elizabeth and her husband, Ed Griffin.  Six weeks after the birth of her twin daughters, Charlotte returned to her home in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  While in his second service in the Marine Corp, Grant took and passed a Civil Service examination.  After his second discharge from the Marine Corp, he received an appointment to the Federal Internal Revenue Service and was assigned to the Audit Division in Athens, Tennessee.  In February of 1955, he was assigned to the Intelligence Division as a special agent and transferred to Nashville, Tennessee.  Grant Porter retired in 1975.  In September of 1975, Grant and Charlotte Porter moved to Venice, Florida where Charlotte worked but she left that job in April of 1978 when they moved back to Tennessee.

On September 12, 1971, Elyce Porter married Darold Gray Lyles (born December 28, 1950).  Darold and Elyce Lyles are the parents of two children:  -  Robert Grant Lyles, b. July 29, 1973,  -  Katherine Alice Lyles, b. October 26, 1976.  On June 20, 1973, Alice Porter married Jeffery Wayne Barnes (born May 21, 1953).  Jeffery and Alice Barnes are the parents of two children:  -  Katherine Elyce Barnes, b. July 11, 1974,  -  Kimberly Ann Barnes, b. April 2, 1980.  Alice teaches mathematics and some computer courses in the Savannah, Georgia high school where she has taught for twelve years.  On August 6, 1972, Grace Porter married Michael David White.  Michael and Grace White are the parents of one son:  -  David White, b. June 16, 1974.  On August 1, 1981, Grace married a second time to William Crump Pearman.

EFFIE LUCILLE DODSON (3.6.10.7) is the daughter of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  Lucille was born on April 16, 1922.  On October 31, 1942, Effie Lucille Dodson married Charles Ellis Dugger (born July 1, 1923) soon after their graduation from high school.  Ellis and Lucille Dugger are the parents of one daughter:

Lucille (Dodson) Dugger was a homemaker.  Ellis Dugger served in the Army Air Force during World War II and saw action in the European theater of operations.  He flew fourteen successful missions the day of the Normandy Invasion.  Ellis worked for forty years in the Monsanto plant, beginning as a machinist and retired in 1984 as foreman of the machine shop.  In the 1960’s, they bought a farm and built their home, still living there today.  On June 20, 1962, Elyce Dugger married David Larry Hubbell (born April 14, 1944).  David and Elyce Hubbell are the parents of four children:  -  David Larry Hubbell, Jr., b. May 30, 1963,  -  Jonathan Darrell Hubbell, b. September 9, 1965,  -  Jacob Jackson Hubbell, b. July 19, 1978,  -  Adam Barclay Hubbell, b. October 4, 1979.

MASTON ELLIS DODSON (3.6.10.8) is the son of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  Maston was born May 22, 1924 in Maury County, Tennessee.  On February 14, 1952, Maston Dodson married Dorthy Mildred Traylor (born August 1, 1933).  Maston served in the Infantry of the United States Army during World War II.  He was inducted soon after he graduated from high school and served until the war ended, serving about four years.  Maston and Dorthy Dodson are the parents of four children:

   William Murray Dodson
   Patsy Dodson
   Cathy Sue Dodson
   Sheila Dodson

Maston Dodson farmed for awhile and then worked for an industrial company.  Later, he was employed by a Meat Packing Company for several years.  After that, he began doing construction work which he pursued until his death.  Maston Dodson died of a massive heart attack on May 7, 1977.  William Murray Dodson married Tammy Sue Hutcherson and they have one son:  -  William Murray Dodson, Jr.  Patsy Dodson married Wendall Riggins and they have one son:  -  Tony Randall Riggins, b. July 9, 1976.

MARY ELIZABETH DODSON (3.6.10.9) is the daughter of Joseph Ellis Dodson and Odie Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodson.  Elizabeth was born on October 31, 1927.  Elizabeth Dodson married Edgar “Ed” Franklin Griffin (born July 16, 1923).  Ed and Elizabeth Griffin are the parents of one son:

Elizabeth Griffin attended business school after she graduated from high school.  She worked for the Highway Department and continued taking many hours of accounting.  Besides being a homemaker, she is presently Director of New Mexico State Highway Department Branch at Deming, New Mexico.  Ed Griffin was an employee of El Paso Gas Company from early in their marriage until his death in February, 1982.  In March of 1984, Elizabeth married a second time to George Ewan, a retired school teacher.  George is pursuing two hobbies, painting and sketching and growing plants.  He has a green house and does a great deal of forced growth - from strawberries to orchids.  Larry Griffin is an employee of what was the El Paso Gas Company located at Carlsbad, New Mexico.  His hobby is photography.  Larry is not married.

ELLA MAE BRYAN (3.6.11) is the daughter of William DeMoss Bryan and Ellen (Dowaine) Bryan.  Ella was born on April 11, 1887 in Williamsport, Tennessee.  On September 4, 1924, Ella Bryan married married William Grover Cleveland Evans in the home of her parents at Williamsport, Tennessee.  Cleveland Evans was born June 29, 1885 in Aiken Ridge, Tennessee and is the son of James A. Evans and Mary Catherine (Letsinger) Evans.  Cleveland was previously married to Elsie Oera Puckett who died early in 1924.  Cleveland and Elsie were the parents of three children:  James Carl Evans (born November 2, 1911, Oklahoma), Oera Marie Evans (born May 14, 1917, Williamsport, Tennessee, Eska Catherine Evans (born July 26, 1919, Santa Fe, Tennessee).  Cleveland Evans’ sister and her husband, Ethel and Will Roach, were appointed as guardians and raised the two girls.  James Carl Evans went to western Kansas when he was 17 and became a cattle rancher.  Cleveland and Ella Evans were the parents of two children:

Cleveland and Ella Evans lived at Santa Fe, Tennessee, moved to Clinton, Kentucky in 1929 and then to Butler, Missouri in 1943.  In 1947, they moved to Amoret, Missouri.  Cleveland Evans died September 2, 1959 and Ella Mae (Bryan) Evans died on March 31, 1968.  Both were buried at Amoret, Missouri.

JOHN GROVER EVANS (3.6.11.1) is the son of William Grover Cleveland Evans and Ella Mae (Bryan) Evans.  John was born June 8, 1925 at Santa Fe, Tennessee.  John served in the United States Navy during World War II, serving as a fireman on an aircraft carrier.  After the war, he was a salesman and parts man for International Harvester Machinery Company.  In February of 1946, John Grover Evans married Beverly Brannon in Rich Hill, Missouri.  John and Beverly Evans were the parents of two children:

   Donita Jean Evans, b. December 7, 1946, Butler, Missouri
   Anthony Lamond Evans, b. November 30, 1956, El Dorado, Kansas

John and Beverly Evans were divorced in 1959.  John Grover Evans died on November 15, 1974 at Butler, Missouri and was buried at Amoret, Missouri.  Donita Jean Evans died March 26, 1953 at El Dorado, Kansas and was buried at Diagonal, Iowa.  Anthony “Tony” Lamond Evans died in a car accident in November of 1981 at El Dorado, Kansas.

ESTHER MAE EVANS (3.6.11.2) is the daughter of William Grover Cleveland Evans and Ella Mae (Bryan) Evans.  Esther was born on December 26, 1926 at Santa Fe, Tennessee.  In 1944, Esther graduated from high school at Rich Hill, Missouri.  She went to work for the Commerce Trust Bank in Kansas City, Missouri.  On February 14, 1948, Esther Mae Evans married Eugene Ellis Bell at the Roanoke Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Missouri.  Eugene was born on December 25, 1922 in Kansas City, Kansas and is the son of of George Francis Bell and Alta Viola Bell of Kansas City, Kansas.  Eugene Bell served with United States Navy during World War II.  Eugene and Esther Bell are the parents of two children:

   Nancy Jane Bell, b. February 8, 1951, Kansas City, Kansas
   David Eugene Bell, b. January 5, 1956, Kansas City, Kansas

Eugene Bell was employed for forty-six years with Burlington Northern Railroad.  He was a yard master for Burlington Northern Railroad.  On May 25, 1974, Nancy Jane Bell married Jerry D. Kuhn in Kansas City, Kansas.  Jerry was born August 17, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas.  Jerry was in the Army during the Vietnam War and served three years in Germany.  Nancy and Jerry are both graduates of Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.  Nancy received a degree in Home Economics and was a Junior Executive and Buyer for Adler’s Clothing Company in Kansas City, Missouri before her marriage.  Jerry has a Master’s Degree in Milling and Grain Science.  He is employed as Plant Manager and Vice-President in charge of Operations at the Knoxville, Tennessee Plant of White Lily Foods Mill.  In 1977, they lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee and then transferred to Griffin, Georgia and lived there four years.  In 1983, they moved to Knoxville, Tennessee.  In 1986, Jerry Kuhn was named “Miller of the Year” by Milling and Baking News Magazine and the award was presented to him in San Antonio, Texas.  Jerry and Nancy Kuhn are the parents of three children:  -  Nicole Renee Kuhn, b. December 30, 1977, Chattanooga, Tennessee,  -  Gerald Chadwick Kuhn, b. May 6, 1980, Macon, Georgia,  -  Ashley Mae Kuhn, b. March 17, 1983, Macon, Georgia.  Nicole Kuhn, eight years old, is on a National Gymnnastics team in Knoxville, Tennessee.  David Bell graduated from Washington High School in May of 1974 and from Kansas City, Kansas Community College in 1976.  He then attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City.  In 1978, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  David lives in Kansas City, Kansas and was employed with Milgrams Food Company for eleven years.  In August of 1987, David Bell was employed as an Express Merchandizer and Sales and Management Trainee with the Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers.
