RUFUS EASTON CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4) is the son of Joseph Campbell, Jr. and Rachel (Orton) Campbell.  Rufus was born on August 15, 1815 in New Madrid County, Missouri Territory.  On October 28, 1842, Rufus Campbell married Caroline Moshell King Drake Ayers in Rutersville, Texas.  Caroline was born in 1825 in New York and is the daughter of David Ayers and Ann Moshell (Smith) Ayers.  From 1850 to 1870, Rufus and Caroline Campbell were living in Austin County, Texas.  Rufus and Caroline Campbell were the parents of seventeen children:

Rufus Campbell died on October 27, 1878 in Austin County, Texas and was buried there in Austin County, Texas.  In 1880, Caroline (Ayers) Campbell was living in Austin County, Texas.  On September 11, 1867, Caroline Campbell married Benjamin Drake.  Benjamin was born on October 20, 1836 and is the son of Reuben Drake and Mary Drake.  Benjamin and Caroline Drake had two children:  -  Preble Drake, b. August 24, 1863,  -  Lucy Drake, b. August 9, 1870.  Benjamin Drake died on November 5, 1880.  Caroline married a second time to John Caddel and they had one son:  -  John Caddel (never married).  On December 23, 1891, Lucy Drake married Charles F. Smith.  Charles was born on February 12, 1861 in Thomaston, Maine and is the son of Tileston H. Smith and Emma (Brown) Smith.  Charles and Lucy Smith had one daughter:  -  Rose Marie Smith, b. May 8, 1911.  On July 14, 1931, Rose Smith married Calvin C. Flint.  In 1938, Calvin was Dean of Men and Professor of Social Sciences at Santa Ana Junior College in Santa Ana, California.

On December 7, 1887, Huldah Campbell married Ira Ellis Collins (born March 28, 1856 in Louisiana) in Burton, Texas.  Ira and Huldah Collins had three children:  -  Ellis Payne Collins, b. October 4, 1888, Galveston, Texas,  -  Eva Payne Collins, b. April 16, 1898,  -  Anna Howard Collins, b. April 6, 1905, Galveston, Texas.  Ira Collins died on October 28, 1915 in Galveston, Texas.  In 1920, Huldah (Campbell) Collins moved to New York City, New York and lived with her two children until October of 1924 when they moved to Utica, New York.  Ellis Collins graduated from the University of Texas Law School in 1908 and received a Masters of Art in 1911 and a LLB degree in 1912 from the University of Texas.  Ellis was with the firm, Hart, Senior and Nichols and was considered an authority on tax matters.  Ellis Collins never married and died on July 23, 1938 in Utica, New York.  Anna Collins lives with her mother in Utica, New York.  Eva Collins drowned in her mother’s arms during a Galveston storm on September 8, 1900.

Campbell married James Polk Carter (born 1847 in Arkansas) and they were the parents of six children:

December 2, 1904,  -  Sarah Beatrice Carter, b. August 29, 1907,  -  James Edward Carter, Jr., October 19, 1910,  -  Henry Carter, b. August 27, 1914.  On May 11, 1928, Leslie Carter married Flynn LeFleur and they had one daughter:  -  Joy LeFleur, b. September 28, 1932.  Sarah B. Carter died young.  On July 14, 1929, James Carter, Jr. married Mildred Foster and they had two children:  -  Richard Carter, b. February 4, 1933,  -  Ann Carter, b. February 8, 1935.  On September 27, 1936, Henry Carter married Emma Vaney.

In November of 1906, Herbert Carter married Nellie McCormick and they had no children.  On September 24, 1900, Carrie Carter married L. S. Pitts and they had three children:  -  John Carter Pitts, b. September 22, 1901,  -  Corinne Pitts, b. February 22, 1903,  -  Mary Shelby Pitts, b. March 6, 1910.  John C. Pitts died as an infant on January 12, 1902.  In April of 1923, Corinne Pitts married Dewey Morgan and they had two children:  -  Elizabeth Morgan, b. February, 1924,  -  Emily Corinne Morgan, b. October, 1937.  Maude L. Carter never married.  On April 10, 1919, Mary M. Carter married Pelham C. Pitts and they had two children:  -  Jane Eugenia Pitts, b. Campbell married J. D. Dixon.  J. D. is the son of William Zimmerman Dixon and Rebecca (Landrum) Dixon.  J. D. and Ann Dixon were the parents of three children:

Patrick died on January 9, 1891.  On June 6, 1894, Caroline married a second time to Claude Clarkson and they had one son:  -  Ira Sebring Clarkson, b. November 30, 1897.  Claude Clarkson died on October 4, 1938.  On August 17, 1909, William R. Patrick married Irene Nesbit and they had one daughter:  -  Caroline Patrick, b. Campbell married Mary “Mollie” Jackson.  Mary was born on September 21, 1847 in Texas and is the daughter of Wesley W. Jackson and Carrie M. (Aikens) Jackson.  David and Mary Campbell were the parents of six children:

C. Bobbitt and Millie Ann (Fry) Bobbitt.  William and Willie Bobbitt had no children.  William A. Bobbitt died on December 26, 1937 and Willie Mae (Campbell) Bobbitt died of burns on January 30, 1939 when her clothing accidently caught fire.

Henry Lee Campbell married Lillie Billingslen of Wellington, Texas and they had five children.  John R. Campbell married Bell McArthur of Paducah, Texas.  Bell is the daughter of James McArthur and Clerch Elizabeth (Starater) McArthur.  John and Bell Campbell had three children:  -  R. B. Campbell, b. July 15, 1910, Paducah, Texas,  -  Hazell Elizabeth Campbell, b. December 17, 1914, Paducah, Texas,  -  Johnne Mae Campbell, b. October 11, 1918.  John R. (Hartin) Parker.  Theodore and Mamie Campbell were the parents of two children:

Shelby (born 1840 in North Carolina).  James and Mollie Shelby were the parents of three children:

CYRUS FRANCIS CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4.8) is the son of Rufus Easton Campbell and Caroline Moshell King Drake (Ayers) Campbell.  Frank was born on November 5, 1854 in Austin County, Texas.  On September 11, 1879, Frank Campbell married Mary “Mollie” Callie Williamson.  Mollie was born on January 3, 1858 in Austin County, Texas and is the daughter of Eldridge Clark Williamson and Mary (Johnston) Williamson.  In 1880, Frank and Mollie Campbell were living in Austin County, Texas.  Frank and Mollie Campbell were the parents of ten children:

From 1900 to 1910, Frank and Mollie Campbell were living in Brazoria County, Texas.  Cyrus “Frank” Campbell died on March 21, 1921 and was buried in Damon, Texas.  On October 17, 1902, Maude Campbell married William Walker Woodward (born January 6, 1879 in Scotts Hill, Tennessee).  William and Maude Woodward had five children:  -  Guy Austin Woodward, b. September 27, 1906, Miles, Texas,  -  Lois May Woodward, b. April 17, 1909, Sweetwater, Texas,  -  Asa Lee Woodward, b. October 20, 1911, Sweetwater, Texas,  -  William Dale Woodward, b. April 27, 1916, Mineral Wells, Texas.  On January 26, 1923, Guy Woodward married Evelyn Clebbie Bizzell (born December 7, 1904) in Mineral Wells, Texas.  Guy and Evelyn Woodward had three children:  -  Guy Austin Woodward, Jr., b. December 16, 1924, Mineral Wells, Texas,  -  Sara Beth Woodward, b. August 9, 1934, Mineral Wells, Texas,  -  Linda Lou Woodward, b. December 4, 1938, Mineral Wells, Texas.  On May 26, 1929, Lois Campbell married Max L. Lundy (born July 21, 1906 in Sparta, Georgia) and they had no children.  On July 24, 1935 Asa Woodward married Mrs. Goodwill (McClure) Maynard (born Branwell, Virginia) and they had no children.  On September 18, 1934, William Woodward married Shirley Vaughn (born April 9, 1917) and they had no children.  On August 24, 1934, Ray Woodward married Donnie Josephine Astrey (born September 21, 1916) and they had one daughter:  -  Frances Sue Woodward, b. August 6, 1938.

On January 1st (year unknown), Ola Campbell married Henderson Leonadius Tinsley, Jr.  Henderson was born on May 30, 1877 in West Columbia, Texas and was the son of Henderson Leonadius Tinsley and Mary Louisa (Forbes) Tinsley.  Henderson and Ola Tinsley had four children:  -  Florence Evelyn Tinsley, b. December 29, 1900, West Columbia, Texas,  -  Marie Edith Tinsley, b. January 13, 1903, Damon, Texas,  -  Ira Frank Tinsley, b. April 23, 1905, Damon, Texas,  -  Thelma May Tinsley, b. April 8, 1908, Rosenberg, Texas.  On February 12, 1926, Florence Tinsley married John William Barnes (born July 12, 1898 in Clay County, Alabama) and they had one daughter:  -  Beverly Marie Barnes, b. November 10, 1926, Altus, Oklahoma.  On November 26, 1930, Marie Tinsley married William Edward Hempel in Angleton, Texas.  William was born on February 19, 1892 in Paige, Texas and is the son of George August Hempel and Sophie Christine (Hiauter) Hempel.  William and Marie Hempel had one child:  -  Bobbie Lee Hempel, b. June 5, 1937, Bay City, Texas.  On September 30, 1931, Ira Tinsley married Margaroth Caroline Lorenzen.  Margaroth was born on January 8, 1904 and was the daughter of Theodore Lorenzen and Pauline (Jepsen) Lorenzen.  Ira and Margaroth Tinsley had no children.  Thelma Tinsley died as a child on April 26, 1911 in West Columbia, Texas.

On January 29, 1911, Jim Campbell married Belle Walston in Saratoga, Texas.  Belle was born on April 5, 1891 and is the daughter of Calvin Alexandria Walston and Mary Jane (Payne) Walston.  Jim and Belle Campbell had no children.  On March 28, 1912, Sarah Campbell married Henry Cassriel (born April 13, 1879 in Jarotschin, Poseu, Germany) and they had two children:  -  Howard Cassriel, b. September 25, 1914, Coalinga, California,  -  Lucille Cassriel, b. January 26, 1925, Aualeim, California.  Kathrine Campbell died at the age of five.  Eldridge Campbell married Nelda Millard and they had one daughter:  -  Gladys Inez Campbell.  Thomas Campbell married Ruth Fiery and had no children.  Roy Campbell married Manilla Charrey, daughter of Peter John Charrey and Mary (Sherry) Charrey.  Roy and Manilla Campbell had one son:  -  John Francis Campbell, b. January 18, 1934, Long Beach, California.  Inez Campbell married Fred Allyn Bracht, son of Leopold Bracht and Clara (Friday) Bracht.  Fred and Inez Bracht had three children:  -  Fred Allyn Bracht, Jr., b. January 30, 1922,  -  Mary Josephine Bracht, b. May 3, 1924,  -  James Campbell Bracht, b. September 24, 1927.  Raymond Campbell never married.  Raymond Campbell died at the Letterman Military Hospital in San Francisco, California and was buried there at the Presido Army Cemetery.
