CARL BRYANT (3.6.2.3) is the son of Robert Emmons Bryant and Margaret Nomie (Church) Bryant.  Carl was born on September 30, 1905 in Willis, Oklahoma.  On May 1, 1924, Carl Bryant married Julia Amanda Hamberlin in Kelsey, Texas.  Julia was born on July 12, 1907 in Kelsey, Texas and is the daughter of Victor Carl Hamberlin and Effie Lavinia (Irwin) Hamberlin.  Carl and Julia Bryant are the parents of six children:

After Carl and Julia were married, Carl farmed for a while with his family and then moved to Idaho where worked for a short time at his brother-in-law’s potato chip factory.  When his son, Lawrence, became sick with rheumatic fever, Carl and his family moved back to Kelsey, Texas to bring his son back to warmer climate.  Around 1944, Carl went to work for a Gasoline Construction Company and moved to Bishop, Texas for this job.  After fifteen months, Carl and his family moved backed to Kelsey, Texas and has lived there for forty years.  Carl is a retired farmer and also drove a school bus for the Gilmer school for 21 years and worked part time at a service station.  Samuel Maston Bryant had cerebral palsy at birth.  As of 1984, he was still living at home with his parents.

WINDELL THERRON BRYANT (3.6.2.3.1) is the son of Carl Bryant and Julia Amanda (Hamberlin) Bryant.  Windell was born on October 19, 1925 in Kelsey, Texas.  Windell lost his right hand and part of his arm in a hunting accident on Thanksgiving in November of 1942.  Windell graduated from Gilmer High School and later attended one year of college in Tyler, Texas.  In November of 1944, Windell went to work for Atlantic Refining Company and worked in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.  In 1947, Windell returned to Gilmer where he drove a Gilmer school bus and worked part time for Humble Oil Company.  On February 17, 1951, Wendell went to work for National Geophysical Company in Louisiana.  On November 8, 1952, Windell Bryant married Lou Alice Lavergne in Louisiana.  Windell was made Party Manager in March of 1955 and in August of 1956 was transferred to the Dallas Laboratory as Observer Supervisor.  Windell and Lou were later divorced.  On August 15, 1958, Windell Bryant married a second time to Jacqueline (Wood) Long in Dallas, Texas.  Jacqueline was previously married to Algy B. Long and had one daughter by her previous marriage:  Cathy Ann Long.  Jacqueline was born on February 22, 1928 in Tuttle, Oklahoma and is the daughter of David Homer Wood and Mary LaDonna (Tate) Wood.  Windell and Jacqueline Bryant are the parents of two children:

Windell Bryant, Sr. worked as an overseer of a seismograph crew in Alaska and was there when a volcano errupted and narrowly escaped.  Windell was then transferred to Lybia for two years.  After a short stay in the states, Windell was sent to Australia for a short time.  Windell then moved to Carrollton, Texas where he was a manager of a large service station.  Windell Bryant, Sr. died of lung and brain cancer on July 13, 1973 in Carrollton, Texas and was buried in Kelsey, Texas.  On August 1, 1981, Cynthia Bryant married Martin Eugene Burch.  Martin was born on April 27, 1954 in Baytown, Texas.

FRANK NOLAN BRYANT (3.6.2.3.2) is the son of Carl Bryant and Julia Amanda (Hamberlin) Bryant.  Frank was born on September 8, 1929 in Kelsey, Texas.  On July 22, 1955, Frank Bryant married Patsy Ruth Davis.  Patsy was born on February 26, 1939 and is the daughter of Ernest Clyde Davis and Janie Elizabeth (Overstreet) Davis.  Frank and Patsy are the parents of one son:

   William Nolan Bryant, b. July 14, 1957, Gilmer, Texas

In March of 1951, Frank Nolan was drafted into the United States Army and served in Germany.  Frank lived in Gilmer, Texas, Quitman, Texas, Mineola, Texas and Lone Star, Texas.  Frank and Patsy Bryant were divorced.  Frank then moved to Dallas, Texas and worked for the City of Dallas for eighteen years.  On July 9, 1964, Frank Bryant married a second time to Elayne Edwards but they were divorced in less than one year.  On August 4, 1967, Frank Bryant married again to Lois Meyers.  Lois (Meyers) Bryant died on January 17, 1976.  Frank then worked for the Tyler Street Methodist Church and School for several years and is presently employed by the Latter Day Saints Church in Dallas, helping take care of the Stake Center and other Ward Churches.

On June 1, 1979, William Bryant married Kimberly Guin in Longview, Texas.  Kimberly was born on March 24, 1961 and is the daughter of Jack Guin and Frances (Oakes) Guin.  William and Kimberly Bryant are the parents of two children:  -  Lesly Rene Bryant, b. LAWRENCE DERRILL BRYANT (3.6.2.3.3) is the son of Carl Bryant and Julia Amanda (Hamberlin) Bryant.  Lawrence was born on August 9, 1931 in Kelsey, Texas.  On February 14, 1957, Lawrence Bryant married Genevieve (Green) Williamson in Union Ridge, Texas.  Genevieve was born on January 6, 1933 in Kelsey, Texas and is the daughter of Leon Nathaniel Green and Ada Elizabeth (Ault) Green.  Genevieve was previously married to Fred Raymond Williamson and they had three daughters who were later adopted by Lawrence Bryant:

Lawrence Bryant, Sr. graduated from Gilmer High School in May of 1949.  Lawrence joined the United States Navy in June of 1949 and assigned to the cargo ship, U. S. S. Warrick.  He sailed to Hawaii, Kwajalien, Eniwetok and Guam.  After returning to the states, he sailed again transporting a load of animals for atomic bomb tests.  Lawrence sailed several times from United States to Japan, Korea, Formosa and Okinawa and was discharged in January of 1953.  In October of 1953, Lawrence went to work as an electrician for Lone Star Steel in Longview, Texas.  After a strike in the fall of 1957, he went to work for Coca Cola Company in Longview, Texas but later regained his job back at Lone Star Steel by arbitration negotiation.  During another strike at Lone Star Steel in 1968, Lawrence went to work for Continental Can Company.  In October of 1974, he went to work for Schlitz Container (part of Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company) in Longview and still works there.

On November 6, 1981, Barbara Bryant married Joseph Dixon Andrews (born November 13, 1954 in Van Nuys, California) and they are the parents of one son:  -  Gregory Scott Andrews, b. September 21, 1985.  On September 5, 1986, Julie Bryant married Maher Ounais and lives in London, England.

MARLENE ANN BRYANT (3.6.2.3.3.1) is the adopted daughter of Lawrence Derrill Bryant and Genevieve (Green) Bryant.  Marlene’s natural parents were Fred Raymond Williamson and Genevieve (Green) Williamson.  Marlene was born on March 10, 1951 in Gladewater, Texas.  On June 16, 1967, Marlene Bryant married Kenneth Wayne Stegall (born February 1, 1948 in Gilmer, Texas).  Kenneth and Marlene Stegall are the parents of five children:

BEVERLY BRYANT (3.6.2.3.3.4) is the daughter of Lawrence Derrill Bryant and Genevieve (Green) Bryant.  Beverly was born on December 31, 1957 in Gladewater, Texas.  On August 19, 1977, Beverly Bryant married David Brian Barrow (born March 29, 1956 in Houston, Texas).  David and Beverly Barrow are the parents of three children:

CARL ALLEN BRYANT (3.6.2.3.4) is the son of Carl Bryant and Julia Amanda (Hamberlin) Bryant.  Carl was born on August 15, 1942 in Gilmer, Texas.  On November 7, 1964, Carl Bryant married Sandra Gene Putman in Denver, Colorado.  Sandra was born on October 16, 1941 in Houston, Texas and is the daughter of Cecil Odell Putman and Edith Pauline (Moyers) Putman.  Carl and Sandra Bryant are the parents of two daughters:

After Carl graduated from Gilmer High School, he attended college at Commerce, Texas for one year.  After working for his brother, Windell, who managed a large service station for about one year in Carrollton, Texas, Carl attended Kilgore College for one semester.  On April 21, 1964, Carl Bryant joined the United States Air Force and was then stationed in San Antonio, Texas, Denver, Colorado (where he met his wife), California and Viet Nam.  While on a mission to find an unexploded bomb, Carl’s helicopter was fired upon and he was wounded in his leg (loosing three inches of his leg bone).  Carl remained in the hospital for about one year and was discharged on August 9, 1967 with 65 percent disability.  Carl attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Carl received a business degree and then worked for Federal Savings and Loan for twelve years managing a branch office.  At one time, his branch was robbed by masked thieves who took $17,000.  Carl later worked for Citi Corp where he serviced loans on homes.  In 1984, Carl was living in Aurora, Colorado.  Carl was promoted to Assistant Vice President and manager of the Chicago regional underwriting office, where his employer, Margaretten, has nine branch offices.  As of 1986, Carl and Sandy Bryant are living in Chicago, Illinois.

PHILIP STANLEY BRYANT (3.6.2.3.5) is the son of Carl Bryant and Julia Amanda (Hamberlin) Bryant.  Philip was born on August 7, 1944 in Gilmer, Texas.  On June 28, 1968, Philip Bryant married Janidell Pruitt in Gilmer, Texas.  Janidell was born on November 30, 1948 in Jefferson, Texas and is the daughter of James Armistead Pruitt and Rosa Lee (Baton) Pruitt.  Philip and Janidell are the parents of two children:

   Amanda Lee Bryant, b. July 10, 1970, Longview, Texas
   Jared Vincent Bryant, b. September 27, 1975, Longview, Texas

In May of 1962, Philip graduated from Gilmer High School.  In May of 1964, Philip Bryant received an associate degree in Industrial Drafting from Kilgore Junior College.  Philip left on a mission to the Northwestern United States in August of 1964 and returned in 1966.  He then worked for Leo Bailey (an Exxon consignee) in Gilmer for one year and then Dial Finance Company in Longview, Texas for about one year.  After his marriage, he worked in Gilmer for Economy Auto Supply for one year and then went to work for Lone Star Steel Company on December 11, 1970.  Philip is a High Priest in the Latter Day Saint Church and has served on the High Council.  When Lone Star Steel closed down in 1986, Philip went to work as the work director over the workers in the Housing Projects in Gilmer, Texas.
