MAYME SMITH ADKINS (2.9.11.4) is the daughter of Abner Calvin Adkins and Evaline Maria (Brooks) Adkins.  Mayme was born on January 26, 1874 in Buena Vista, Georgia.  Mayme Adkins married Homer Augustus Wall (born January 11, 1869 in Tazewell, Georgia).  In 1892, Homer graduated from Georgia Medical College in Augusta, Georgia and practiced medicine in Bronwood and Ochlocknee, Georgia.  Homer and Mayme Wall were the parents of three children:

   Nadine Wilson Wall (2.9.11.4.1), b. July 9, 1894
   Lee Wallace Wall, b. February 18, 1896
   Helen Marie Wall (2.9.11.4.3), b. May 2, 1898

Mayme (Adkins) Wall died on June 23, 1900 in Bronwood, Georgia.  Homer married a second time to May Estelle Johnson of Bronwood, Georgia and they had one child, Jeffie Mae Wall.  Homer Wall died on January 27, 1936.  Lee Wallace Wall married a woman whose first name was Mayme and they had no children.  Wallace served in World War I and was a Staff Sergeant in the 58th Infantry of the Fourth Division.  Wallace Wall died on October 8, 1934.

NADINE WILSON WALL (2.9.11.4.1) is the daughter of Homer Augustus Wall and Mayme Smith (Adkins) Wall.  Nadine was born on July 9, 1894 in Bronwood, Georgia.  On February 26, 1923, Nadine Wall married Everett Edmund Stow of Atlanta, Georgia.  Everett was born on November 26, 1883 and was raised in Macon, Georgia, but moved to Atlanta, Georgia as an adult.  He was employed by the United States Government for 43 years.  Everett and Nadine Stow were the parents of three children:

   Everett Edmund Stow, Jr., b. August 18, 1924
   Robert Wendell Stow, b. July 4, 1926
   Carolyn Patricia Stow, b. January 12, 1930

Everett Stow, Sr. died on June 23, 1957.  At the age of 86, Nadine enjoys gardening and touring the country with various senior citizen’s clubs.  Everett served in the United States Army during World War II.  On June 17, 1951, Everett Stow married Dorothy Ruth Tucker (born January 24, 1926).  Everett and Dorothy Stow have two children:  -  Richard Edmund Stow, b. May 2, 1954,  -  Cathy Lynn Stow, b. November 30, 1956.  On September 24, 1977, Richard Stow married Ida Mae Dixon and they have one son:  -  Ryan Richard Stow, b. May 21, 1979.  Cathy Stow married Randy Adams and lives in Smyrna, Georgia where her brother and parents also live.

On April 14, 1949, Robert Stow married Mary Sue Cantrell (born June 28, 1930) of Smyrna, Georgia.  Robert and Mary Stow have three children:  -  Sheron Marena Stow, b. April 4, 1950,  -  Patricia Nadine Stow, b. October 2, 1951,  -  Robert Wendell Stow, Jr., b. August 15, 1960.  Robert Stow, Sr. served in the United States Navy during World War II and he and his wife currently live in Aiken, South Carolina.  On May 23, 1980, Sheron Stow married Ray Vinod Damani and they live in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  Patricia Stow lives in Athens, Georgia and Robert Stow, Jr. lives in Aiken, South Carolina.

HELEN MARIE WALL (2.9.11.4.3) is the daughter of Homer Augustus Wall and Mayme Smith (Adkins) Wall.  Helen was born on May 2, 1898.  Helen later had her middle name changed to her mother’s name, Mayme.  On June 12, 1921, Helen Wall married John Norris Segler (born March 8, 1898) of Ochlocknee, Georgia.  Norris and Helen Segler were the parents of two children:

   Jack Norris Segler, b. July 6, 1922
   Paul Benson Segler, b. October 26, 1923

During World War II, Norris and Helen Segler moved to Panama City, Florida where Norris established the J & P Transfer and Storage Company.  Helen (Wall) Segler died on May 8, 1970 and John Norris Segler died in the late 1970’s.  Both were buried in Panama City, Florida.  Jack served in the United States Army during World War II.  Jack Segler married Patricia Anne Yearsley (born July 24, 1930) and they live in Panama City, Florida.  Jack and Patricia Segler have three children:  -  Jack Randolph Segler, b. September 26, 1959,  -  John Michael Segler, b. February 15, 1961,  -  Kimberley Ann Segler, b. June 28, 1964.  Paul served in the United States Army during World War II.  Paul Segler married Johnnie Johnson and they had two children:  -  Paul Benson Segler, Jr., b. BLAND WALLACE ADKINS (2.9.11.5) is the son of Abner Calvin Adkins and Evaline Maria (Brooks) Adkins.  Bland was born on April 5, 1876 in Buena Vista, Georgia.  On July 20, 1897, Bland Adkins married Mary Lizzie Marshall and they were the parents of one child:

On February 9, 1908, Bland Adkins married a second time in Montgomery, Alabama to Winona Morgan (born March 22, 1885 in Leesburg, Georgia).  Bland and Winona Adkins were the parents of eight children:

Bland Wallace Adkins was a well known and liked newspaper publisher and printer, who owned or worked for many newspapers in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.  He last worked for the “Waycross Georgian” in Waycross, Georgia where he lived for 20 years.  Bland Wallace Adkins died on September 22, 1945 and Winona (Morgan) Adkins died on December 19, 1972.  Both were buried in Waycross, Georgia.  Carolyn Adkins is a retired registered nurse from the United States Navy.  Carolyn lives at St. Simon’s Island, Georgia.  Bland Woodrow Adkins served in the United States Navy during World War II.  He is retired and lives at St. Simon’s Island, Georgia.

On August 7, 1941, Grace Adkins married Julius Robert Callahan in Folkston, Georgia.  Julius was born on November 3, 1920 in Ware County, Georgia.  Julius and Grace Callahan have one daughter:  -  Rebecca Yvonne Callahan, b. December 6, 1942, Waycross, Georgia.  Julius and Grace Callahan reside in Brunswick, Georgia.  On August 10, 1961, Yvonne Callahan married John Owen Horton (born March 30, 1940 in Valdosta, Georgia) in Brunswick, Georgia.  Owen and Yvonne Horton have four children:  -  Elizabeth Deanne Horton, b. EVELYN ELIZABETH ADKINS (2.9.11.5.3) is the daughter of Bland Wallace Adkins and Winona (Morgan) Adkins.  Elizabeth was born on January 16, 1911 in Doerun, Georgia.  Elizabeth Adkins married Asa Duke Mullis, Jr. (born August 11, 1908).  Asa and Elizabeth Mullis had one son:

Asa Mullis was killed in an accident on September 21, 1935.  On October 23, 1937, Elizabeth (Adkins) Mullis married Thomas Edward Pigford (born January 31, 1903 in North Carolina) in Hamilton County, Florida.  Thomas and Elizabeth Pigford had one daughter:

   Valma Darleen Pigford, b. November 1, 1943

Thomas Pigford died on August 4, 1968 in Cresent, Florida.  Elizabeth (Adkins) Pigford lives in Waycross, Georgia where she owns and operates a beauty shop.  In 1960, Asa Mullis, III married Virginia Davis at Warner Robbins, Georgia.  Asa and Virginia Mullis have two sons:  -  Russ Mullis, b. June 26, 1963,  -  Asa Duke Mullis, IV, b. June 10, 1964.  On March 11, 1977, Darleen Pigford married Greg Baur.  Greg and Valma Baur both received Doctorate of Philosophy degrees in mathematics and are college professors in South Bend, Indiana.

LUCIA MARIE ADKINS (2.9.11.5.5) is the daughter of Bland Wallace Adkins and Winona (Morgan) Adkins.  Marie was born on December 15, 1915 in Dublin, Georgia.  On February 10, 1933, Marie Adkins married Jack Maxie Wainwright in McClenny, Florida.  They lived in Charleston, South Carolina.  Jack and Marie Wainwright had three children:

   Roy Otto Wainwright, b. November 13, 1938

Marie (Adkins) Wainwright later married Cecil O. MARY FRANCES ADKINS (2.9.11.5.8) is the daughter of Bland Wallace Adkins and Winona (Morgan) Adkins.  Mary was born on December 7, 1922 in Boston, Georgia.  On March 22, 1942, Mary Adkins married Herman Speight Pridgen, Jr. (born January 18, 1922) in Talladega, Alabama.  They live in Kingsport, Tennessee where Herman “Woody” has been employed as a research chemist at the Tennessee Eastman Company for thirty years.  Mary “Frank” makes quilts as a hobby and teaches classes in the art of quilting.  Woody and Frank Pridgen are the parents of three children:

   Vivian Frances Pridgen, b. November 14, 1944, Jacksonville, Florida
   Thomas Carlton Pridgen, b. January 17, 1950, Waycross, Georgia
   Wallace Speight Pridgen, b. August 31, 1953, Kingsport, Tennessee

ZADIE MARIE ADKINS (2.9.11.7) is the daughter of Abner Calvin Adkins and Evaline Maria (Brooks) Adkins.  Zadie was born on May 13, 1884 in Georgia.  On April 8, 1903, Zadie Adkins married Acie Daniel Smith (born on March 9, 1885 in Eastman, Georgia).  Acie and Zadie Smith were the parents of six children:

On June 16, 1935, Abner Smith married and had several children.  Abner Smith lived in Toledo, Ohio and died in November of 1967.  Wallace Alonzo Smith was married twice and had one son by his first wife.  Wallace Smith died in 1963 in a crash of his plane.  Mary Evelyn Smith’s mother died when she was only seven weeks old and she was adopted by her uncle and aunt, Alonzo B. Hall and Lucia Marie (Adkins) Hall (2.9.9.6).  Mary Evelyn Smith married James Leamon Butler, Jr. and they had two children:  -  Mary Helen Butler, b. July 11, 1938,  -  James Leamon Butler, III, b. October 4, 1947.  Mary Butler married Roy H. Bailey and they have two children:  -  LeAnne Bailey, b. June 22, 1961,  -  Ashley Bailey, b. ELMER ASHLEY SMITH (2.9.11.7.1) is the son of Acie Daniel Smith and Zadie Marie (Adkins) Smith.  Ashley was born on April 19, 1904 in Cutting, Georgia.  On October 30, 1922, Ashley Smith married in Albany, Georgia to Julia Bacon Oliver (born May 9, 1904 in Albany, Georgia).  From the age of 14, Ashley worked for the Western Union Telegraph Company.  He worked in Collins, Georgia, Savannah, Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia, Knoxville, Tennessee and New York City, New York.  Ashley and Julia Smith were the parents of one daughter:

   Ida Marie Smith (2.9.11.7.1.1), b. September 7, 1925

In 1927, Ashley and Julia Smith were divorced.  Ashley married a second time, but he and his wife, Shirley Smith, had no children.  Ashley Smith died while visiting his father and family in Albany, Georgia on April 18, 1941.  Julia is now married to Lewis Taylor Cobble and currently lives in Knoxville, Tennessee.

IDA MARIE SMITH (2.9.11.7.1.1) is the daughter of Elmer Ashley Smith and Julia Bacon (Oliver) Smith.  Ida Marie was born on September 7, 1925 in Albany, Georgia.  On February 14, 1943, Ida Marie Smith married in Albany, Georgia to Donald Emery Williams (born January 8, 1920 in Fort Fairfield, Maine).  Don and Ida Marie Williams are the parents of three children:

Donald Emery Williams served in the United States Air Force during World War II.  He worked as an electrician at Cape Kennedy, Florida in support of the Appollo 11 Lunar Landing Mission, the first moon landing flight launched on July 16, 1969.  He was working on the tracking station on the Grand Turk Island during the flight and has also worked at the tracking stations on Grand Bahama and Ascension Islands.  He is now employed as an electrician at the Armstrong Rubber Company in Clinton, Tennessee.  Don and Ida Marie live in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Ida Marie has been an employee of K-Mart for the last thirteen years.

Donald Williams served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.  He resides in Knoxville, Tennessee.  On May 28, 1976, Keith married his second wife, Nancy Lee Dukes, and they live in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Nancy was born on August 29, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia and is the daughter of Fred Dukes and Norma Dukes of Knoxville, Tennessee.  Keith is employed as a lineman by the Knoxville Utilities Board and Nancy is employed by the Expressway Furniture Company.

THOMAS WHEELER BROOKS (2.9.12) is the son of Allen Brooks and Mariah (Bullock) Brooks.  Thomas was born on February 16, 1846 in Talbot County, Georgia.  Thomas moved to Louisiana in 1861.  In 1863, he enlisted in Company F of the Fourth Louisiana Calvary and served until the end of the war.  On February 28, 1866, Thomas Brooks married Victoria Bridges.  Victoria was born on March 22, 1851 in Georgia and is the daughter of Barney W. Bridges and Isabella Bridges.  Thomas and Victoria Brooks were the parents of nine children:

   Emma Lavita Brooks, b. March 22, 1869, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana
   Barney Allen Brooks, b. September 23, 1870, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana
   Zadie Brooks, b. July 15, 1873, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana
   Elma Brooks, b. February 16, 1876, Claiborne Parish, Lousiana
   Virgil V. Brooks, b. September 10, 1878, Claiborne Parish, Lousiana
   Thomas V. Brooks, b. February 11, 1881, Louisiana
   Shepperd J. Brooks, b. January 13, 1885, Louisiana
   J. Prentiss Brooks, b. January 9, 1889

From 1870 to 1880, Thomas and Victoria Brooks were living in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana.  In 1900, Thomas and Victoria Brooks were living in Wood County, Texas.  Ida Belle Brooks married Edward E. Montzingo.  Barney Brooks married Cora Belle Ferris (born August 18, 1877).  Barney Brooks died on October 31, 1946 and Cora (Ferris) Brooks died on January 29, 1956.  Virgil Brooks died on December 12, 1952.
