IDA MATILDA BROOKS (2.3.3.9) is the daughter of Isaac Turner Brooks and Mary Frances (Wynn) Brooks.  Ida was born on April 27, 1859 in Columbus, Georgia.  On February 11, 1877, Ida Brooks married Isaac Tamblin King in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Isaac was born on October 3, 1853 in Talbot County, Georgia and is the son of Tamblin King and Sophia (Dimon) King.  Isaac and Ida King were the parents of five children:

From 1880 to 1900, Isaac and Ida King lived in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Ida (Brooks) King died on October 13, 1934 in Columbus, Georgia and Isaac Tamblin King died on November 21, 1937.  Both were buried in the Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia.

EULA BUFORD KING (2.3.3.9.1) is the son of Isaac Tamblin King and Ida Matilda (Brooks) King.  Buford was born on April 23, 1878 in Muscogee County, Georgia.  On October 9, 1907, Buford King first married Susan “Susie” Lee Hamer in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Susie was born on January 26, 1880 in Muscogee County, Georgia and is the daughter of George Washington Hamer and Frances Margaret (Parker) Hamer.  Buford and Susie King were the parents of three children:

Susie (Hamer) King died on October 21, 1913 in Columbus, Georgia and was buried there in the Linwood Cemetery.  On November 7, 1915, Buford King married a second time to Lillian Irene Glenn in Columbus, Georgia.  Lillian was born on September 3, 1894 in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Buford and Lillian King were the parents of five children:

E. BUFORD KING, JR. (2.3.3.9.1.1) is the son of E. Buford King and Lillian Irene (Glenn) King.  Buford was born on September 16, 1918 in Columbus, Georgia.  On September 22, 1945, Buford King married Rebecca Money Hardaway in Columbus, Georgia and they were the parents of three children:

January 10, 1973,  -  Benjamin King Speir, b. May 11, 1976.  On August 11, 1973, Buford King, III married Mary Patricia Ward in Columbus, Georgia.  Buford and Mary King live in Columbus and they have two children:  -  Elizabeth Glenn King, b. November 15, 1976,  -  Rebecca Hardaway King, b. October 28, 1979.  On August 20, 1977, Lillian King married John Whatley Springer in Columbus, Georgia.  John is the son of Curtis H. EDWIN VERNON KING (2.3.3.9.1.2) is the son of E. Buford King and Lillian Irene (Glenn) King.  Edwin was born on September 23, 1920.  Edwin married Mrs. Charmayne and they are the parents of four children:

   Michael Morris King
   Edwin Vernon King, Jr.

Mrs. King had another daughter by her previous marriage, Cherie Minatra King, and she is now married.  Mrs. King died on October 28, 1965 in Clovis, New Mexico and was buried in Dallas, Texas.  Edwin King, Sr. is a Colonel in the United States Air Force and lives in Miami, Florida.  On May 23, 1976, Michele King married in Austin, Texas to William Mather McKellar of Beaumont, Texas.  Kevin, Michael and Edwin are single.

Buford King and Lillian Irene (Glenn) King.  James was born on July 12, 1924 in Columbus, Georgia.  On October 15, 1949, James King married Mary Edna Simmons in Tallahassee, Florida.  Mary was born on March 10, 1929 in Tallahassee, Florida and is the daughter of John “Jack” Whiteford Simmons and Sarah Irene (Scott) Simmons.  James and Mary King are the parents of four children:

CLAUDE ADELE KING (2.3.3.9.2) is the daughter of Isaac Tamblin King and Ida Matilda (Brooks) King.  Adele was born on March 31, 1880 in Muscogee County, Georgia.  In 1900, Adele King married James Kyle Harris.  James and Adele Harris were the parents of one son:

On October 30, 1912, Adele married a second time in Columbus, Georgia to Jesse Thomas Smith and they had no children.  Adele (King) Smith died on May 3, 1974 and was buried in the Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia.  Willie Kyle Harris died in 1909.

EFFIE ESTELLE KING (2.3.3.9.3) is the daughter of Isaac Tamblin King and Ida Matilda (Brooks) King.  Effie was born on February 7, 1884 in Muscogee County, Georgia.  On March 23, 1912, Effie King married George Stanford Hamer.  George was born on August 5, 1884 in Midland, Georgia.  George and Effie Hamer were the parents of three children:

George Hamer, Sr. died on January 13, 1962 and Effie (King) Hamer died on April 24, 1968.  Both were buried in the Riverdale Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia.  Claire Hamer died on October 29, 1920.  George Stanford Hamer, Jr. married Leah Desportes (born February 7, 1929 in Columbus, Georgia) and they have one son:  -  George Stanford Hamer, III, b. September 20, 1952.  George and Leah Hamer live in Columbus, Georgia.

SARAH TEASDALE HAMER (2.3.3.9.3.1) is the daughter of George Stanford Hamer and Effie Estelle (King) Hamer.  Sarah was born September 19, 1913 in Columbus, Georgia.  On June 20, 1937, Sarah Hamer married Jack Slayton Copelan (born July 7, 1914 in Greensboro, Georgia).  Jack and Sarah Copelan were the parents of two sons:

On August 28, 1964, Jack Copelan, Jr. married in Dadeville, Alabama to Miriam Jacqueline Byars of Columbus, Georgia.  Jack and Miriam Copelan live in Columbus and have two children:  -  James Stanford Copelan, b. April 17, 1969,  -  Miriam Joy Copelan, b. October 2, 1973.  On February 1, 1969, George Copelan married in Columbus, Georgia to Ethelyn Williams Riley of Columbus and they had two children:  -  George Delamar Copelan, Jr., b. December 25, 1971,  -  Cora LaDelle Copelan, b. November 13, 1972.  George and Ethelyn were later divorced and George still lives in Columbus, Georgia.

RALPH IRWIN KING (2.3.3.9.5) is the son of Isaac Tamblin King and Ida Matilda (Brooks) King.  Ralph was born on August 14, 1893 in Midland, Georgia.  On August 19, 1930, Ralph King married Martha Rogers Brooks in Columbus, Georgia.  Martha was born on August 14, 1905 in Glascock County, Georgia and is the daughter of John Reese Brooks and Mary Julia (Gibson) Brooks.  Ralph and Martha King were the parents of two children:

   Mary Matilda King, b. November 9, 1940

Ralph King was in the grocery business in Columbus.  Ralph King died on August 22, 1971 and Martha (Brooks) King died on September 16, 1980.  Both died in Columbus, Georgia and both were buried there in the Parkhill Cemetery.  On October 23, 1954, Martha King married in Columbus, Georgia to Dr. William Johnston Cunningham and they have two children:  -  William Johnston Cunningham, Jr., b. September 14, 1955,  -  Martha Brooks Cunningham, b. January 10, 1958.  William and Martha Cunningham live in Columbus, Georgia.  On April 3, 1965, Mary King married in Columbus, Georgia to Robert Harris Smalley, Jr. and they have three children:  -  Robert Harris Smalley, III, b. January 4, 1967,  -  Ralph King Smalley, b. October 15, 1969,  -  Mary Brooks Smalley, b. Hoopaugh in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Sarah was born in October of 1857 in Columbus, Georgia and is the daughter of John M. Hoopaugh.  Isaac and Sarah Brooks were the parents of eleven children:

In 1880, Isaac and Sarah Brooks were living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Isaac Cheney Brooks was a grocer.  Isaac Brooks died on December 12, 1911 in Columbus, Georgia and was buried there in the Linwood Cemetery.  Sarah (Hoopaugh) Brooks died in 1944 in Lakeland, Florida and was buried there in the Oak Hill Cemetery.  Henry Brooks died in August of 1881, Kathy Brooks died on August 3, 1888, Isaac Joseph Brooks died on May 21, 1889, Charles Brooks died January 26, 1905, Mary Brooks died on July 1, 1895, Rosa Brooks died on June 18, 1897, Sarah Elizabeth Brooks died on May 24, 1900 and Harry Brooks died at the age of eight months.  Elmo Brooks was the father of two sons:  -  Herbert Brooks,  -  Joe Brooks.  Herbert Brooks lives in Auburndale, Florida and Joe Brooks lives in Nashville, Tennessee.  William Elmore Brooks died in 1929 in Florida.  Robert Paul Brooks married, had children and died in Akron, Ohio.

Olive (Guilford) Brooks died in 1961.  Sam Brooks, Sr. married a second time to Eva Simmons who died five years later.  Sam Brooks, Sr. was a printer.  Sam Brooks died on August 28, 1974 and was buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland, Florida.  On November 26, 1963, Grace Brooks married a Samuel Leighton Snyder.  Samuel was born on October 14, 1894 in Spring City, Pennsylvania and is the son of William Moyer Snyder and Emma (Gerhart) Snyder.  Samuel Snyder served in the United States Navy for thirty years.  Samuel and Grace Snyder have no children.  Grace lives in Clearwater, Florida.  Maye Brooks married E. J. Daughtry of Lakeland, Florida and they have one daughter:  -  Sharon Daughtry.  Maye lives in Lakeland, Florida.  Sam Brooks, Jr. married Lillie Mae Rackley and they have one son:  -  Sam Turner Brooks, III, b. 1946.  Sam Brooks, Jr. lives in Lakeland, Florida.  Sam Brooks, III has one son:  -  David Brooks.  Richard Brooks and his wife, Barbara Ann Brooks, have three children:  -  Paul Brooks,  -  Deborah Ann Brooks,  -  name unknown.  Richard lives in Tampa, Florida.
